Bitcoin and Porn: An Extraordinary Mix
http://bitforum.info/t/bitcoin-and-porn-an-extraordinary-mix/284

I really don't know that porn sites are allowing bitcoin payment.

Well, anyone here knows other 'unusual' sites who are accepting bitcoin as payment?

They are pretty known to like bitcoins, the customers don't need to have a charge on your CC with something embaressing Wink . also there are no chargebacks, hacked CC used etc... etc... I wonder how many pays to get this kind of videos though.

Why pay money to a porn site if you can watch free? Cool
Any video can be downloaded from the torrent.
Well, some people have morals and respect other people's works and intellectual property. Yet I doubt that people watching pron online are are even considering that making porn movies/photos is not cheap.
Again I doubt that associating bitcoin with porn will do any good to bitcoin image. Bitcoin will be pigeonholed as currency of terrorist, extremists, hackers and porn lovers.
Indeed, but bitcoin does meet the needs of these "industries"... Hopefully normal e-commerce that could benefits from bitcoins begin to use it soon.

I have been noticing a lot of porn services going up on this forum lately. I'm not 100 percent they are legit. But a lot of live webcam models have been posting in the services section excepting bitcoin as payment. So its starting to look like bitcoin is adapting to the industry but we still have to wait and see.

I think bitcoin could become quite popular with cam girls as Bitcoin is perfect for tipping. Paypal doesn't allow for this sort of stuff and even some creditcard companies will probably block them if they found out what they're doing so bitcoin could really thrive in this industry.

I only know this site:

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/rgtv9/girls_gone_bitcoin/

Is more like a Cam show for Bitcoin, but i always think; Who pay for porn on these days when we have petabytes of porn on the web for free...

I think straight porn videos and pictures is kind of dead but live cam girls that take instructions from you about what to do next is getting big. It's kind of cool being to tell her in real time what to do and there's big money in it for the girls.

We need Brazzers to accept BTC, they are the king of porn and move millions of dollars daily. It would definitely bring massive amounts of volume to the BTC ecosystem.

The question for you budding entrepreneurs out there should be how you offer something better with the technology of bitcoin, for consumers but more importantly for the businesses.  The rebill model is built around the security of income from the credit card system, and the ability of businesses to appeal to our lazyness.  There's alot of experience with how to make these two things work well together.  What can bitcoin offer that is worth people making the effort to fix something they don't see is broken?

These things could easily be built, but porn or other companies could just offer discounts if you pay the lump sum upfront for a year which some do. They could just send you an email or QR code to pay the fee each month as well. I'm sure there will be a bitcoin direct debit app or feature built into wallets that will send the money automatically so I don't think this will be a big issue.

Porn, much like sex in general should be free.
If you have to pay for it in ANY WAY or accept money for it, then it is considered prostitution.

Wow, I just came up with that.
Probably coz I never had to pay for sex......
Losers!  Tongue  Tongue  Tongue

Just kidding - about the losers part I mean.

Don't knock prostitution! When I have sex the best part is telling her to get out when I'm done with her. When you have sex you have to listen to an hour of her inane ramblings about what cute thing her fucking cat did yesterday.

it looks a bit stupid indeed, because we have free hd porn already, maybe they want to see it in 4k or something, because otherwise is seems a waste of money...

it must be said that some country have some famous porn site obscured, so they need to pay in some way to watch some hd porn

As I understand it the porn industry relies heavily on the rebills model- When you sign up you give them your credit card details and the authority to deduct a certain amount on a regular basis, usually a monthly subscription fee for continued access or service to online content.

If the content is good, people will come back to the site, even when there is no automatic rebilling.  Smiley
The control that people have over spending their bitcoins shouldn't worry the porn industry.

Very good idea! I have faith that most online places will allow you to pay with Bitcoin. It's anonymous for both the buyer and the seller and you can send large amounts of money with low transaction fee's. And money is sent and received (confirmed at least once) within 15 minutes or so. Refunds are also easy, as you don't have to wait days up to week(s) to get a refund on your credit card.

As I understand it the porn industry relies heavily on the rebills model- When you sign up you give them your credit card details and the authority to deduct a certain amount on a regular basis, usually a monthly subscription fee for continued access or service to online content.

It's quite a successful business model for online commerce, think of spotify, web hosting and how adobe and many other software companies are moving their software to the cloud access model where you don't actually have the programme on your computer without internet access and a current subscription.

It works because it enables some form of secure income for the content owners and content providers against illegal sharing, and because consumers would rather pay a small percentage of the cost for something they may end up using only a few times.  Where many businesses make a killing is from people or businesses who are lazy in keeping an eye on their finances, plenty of people have a spotify subscription that they may use maybe once, twice or even less a month, yet they like the security of having the service available on demand and so spotify bleeds them of 10 bucks a month for that privilege.

A less scrupulous example would be alot of the scammy products that are peddled by internet marketers or late night tv advertising.  Often they offer something for "free, pay shipping costs only".  You have to pay by credit card for the shipping and if you don't read the small print you'll never be aware you have authorized them to charge you 30 bucks or so a month for a continued delivery of acai berry cleanse or whatever it may be every month.  Most people don't realize this untill they've been billed at least twice, and the company has made up their loss from the free offer and a few bucks profit off the rebill by this stage.

For this reason I suspect almost every porn site, or anyone who uses a rebill model will require a credit card on sign up.  You might have the option to settle your bill in advance with BTC, but they want the security of the pull transaction.
