Actually even before the early stages of Bitcoin at it's relatively low price, it was already being used in crimes. I watched a move about it and explained how it was being used for transactions for illegal activities such as drugs and human tranficking. This is why Bitcoin related companies was shut down before.

The problem here is not Bitcoin. Bitcoin was made not for this intention. Those illegal activities would still find a way to operate. So those criminals are the ones to be seized. Not Bitcoin.

Bitcoins has regained its strong value, As of this posting, the value per 1 bitcoin is exactly 4786.59 US Dollar.   Soon we will see more ways people can squeeze the most out of bitcoins.   Since the advent of the internet to be profit oriented in the 90's, no one would possibly have imagined that the Internet would breed Facebook, Google, Uber, online streaming, etc. This is where we are with the Blockchain now. There exists a whole world of opportunities out there.
I think the main purpose why Satoshi Nakamoto created this new type of exchange alternative is for middle-class people because all the upper-class people and the corrupted politicians would easily get their hands on the newly printed money without telling the fellow citizens of the country. In this way the rich people would become rich and the poor stay underprivileged. This newly created is in form of digital where we can get to know all in a click of a button if we want!
This is the main reason Bitcoin is not considered legal in the underdeveloped countries where there are more of a corrupt politicians than good ones.

As each coin has two sides, BTC too has both negative and positive aspect. Being too advantageous to the society and the economy, it could also be used in crimes, terrorism and other sort of illegal things. Being not legalized by the government and not under the laws of judiciary, government has no control over the BTC and this leads to the criminal use of cryptocurrency. This is the very reason that few countries has banned the use of cryptocurrency but BTC being so successful and hoping same thing in the future too, government would centralize the BTC and then its criminal use will be stopped and everyone can enjoy bitcoining.

Well, yes. Still, I'd disagree with the negative impact, its usage at all, even if for negative purposes, grows its relevance through circulation.

Well this actually happens. Bitcoin is being used by criminals to commit crimes. Bitcoin is not managed by any government. Criminals can use it to trade gambling and drugs ... this has had a negative impact on bitcoin. In the future I hope this will be overcome

every form of money is used in crime, cash, credit cards, any money. So we can't say that Bitcoin is the only one and that it is bad for that reason, everything valuable can be used by criminals for their own needs.

I think the biggest crime according to the governments around the world is ... not paying taxes.

Think about it. Why are governments really concerned about drugs and terrorism? Because they have economic networks that circumvent taxes.

Crime doesn't harm politicians directly, the lack of state money does.

If most people don't pay taxes on Bitcoin profits, only 800 people a year do according to the IRS, that's a direct threat to government. That's why we'll see a crack down on Bitcoin. Not because it's used to facilitate acts that are harmful or immoral to normal people. But because it hurts those in control.

Bitcoin hasba big value so it is being used in crimes such as gamblings or other crimes it is being used in deepweb.

I don't know when did gambling became a crime but if it did, I think it depends on the country we are living in. I've some posts here in the forum that bitcoin transactions are not that anonymous so we can say that the bitcoins being sent can be traceable. If bitcoin is really used in a lot of activity in crimes now, I think there will be some countries that will be cautious about it.

There exists a whole world of opportunities out there.

These opportunities have the unrighteous users of this cryptocurrencies to also used its advantage. We cannot deny for a fact that cyber crimes have been committed since the birth of the internet.  Once, stealing was done with having guns, now, robbers can easily hack bank accounts or counterfeit credit cards to their advantage.  Sooner, cryptocurrencies can be used to pay crimes such as services for creating counterfeit birth certificates and this is not far from happening.  Actually, the US has already cases on this matter.

Another is the crime of buying illegal-drug emporium that used Bitcoin as a medium of exchange, politicians and policymakers took notice. Criminals, it turns out, really like bitcoins, which can be exchanged for nefarious purposes on the "Dark Web," with complete anonymity and, it seems, impunity.

Although, there are some articles that i have read regarding criminals cannot hide behind bitcoins, still, there are difficulties tracing transactions using cryptocurrencies. That is why law enforcement agencies should have a to change their procedures to pursue criminals who make use of the latest technology to commit crimes. Let the law find a way to evolve to address new tech challenges. There is no reason to expect that law enforcement won’t be able to get a handle on this new cybercrime.
I wouldn't deny the fact that bitcoin is been used for crimes and other illegal transactions. But we should also be mindful that all other currencies are also been used to perpetuate criminal activities, I believe there should be a holistic approach to deal with cybercrime

In mid-May, countless people across the world were attacked by a malware program that locked their computers and demanded money to unlock, in an attack dubbed WannaCry. The attackers received thousands of dollars in the form of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is anonymous and easy, which means its a favorite among criminals. Just how is Bitcoin used by criminals, how can you protect yourself from some Bitcoin scammers, and should Bitcoin face higher regulation to prevent criminals from being able to use the cryptocurrency? This article shall delve into the dark side of Bitcoin, and look at some of the negative aspects that present themselves.

Yes, nowadays it’s being used in crime, they buy and sell online and pay by bitcoin. Because it’s untraceable. So police can’t get clue to caught them. I think it’s dangerous.

It isn't just recently. Did you not know that bitcoin was the form of currency "silk road" have been using. It is not a surprise because bitcoin is a currency. Just like dollars, euro etc. these currency are used to buy, either legal things or illegal once.

I am sure the creator of bitcoin intended to introduce the cryptocurrency with good intentions. But, this is true though, some people are using it with illegal transactions and  taints the industry.

Criminals have always used advanced technology for their criminal purposes. Therefore, there is nothing surprising in that they will use the crypto currency, and first of all its anonymity, in order to escape punishment. However, this is a problem for law enforcement agencies to look for criminals. I read that for the police it will be possible to make photo and video recording of traces of crime in the data blockchein. That is, for law enforcement agencies will create all the opportunities for this.

Well whatever the case, bitcoin is also a currency so there's a very big possibility that criminals will be using bitcoin in their transactions. But with or without bitcoin, it seems that nothing can stop them from their transactions because long before bitcoin existed, money laundering and illegal transactions have always been there by fiat money.

This is a very sad thing, an anonymous system becomes a haven of criminals and I hope soon made the system to be able to detect whether the transaction is done for criminal action or not.

Like most other technologies bitcoin will also be used in crimes. Whether it's untraceable, I don't think so, there's a clear trace of where the coins are flowing. This doesn't mean that bitcoin should be banned and shunned as an accepted form of currency. Physical assets you purchase with cryptocurrency would eventually have to reach their payees, this to where the border control have jurisdiction over. while transfer of digital assets will only carry their full trace.

For me its no. Because everyone can avoid crimes but it depends other how they work for life.sometimes more people not contented in life so they commit crimes. They used other people, slay people to become rich. Its up to you how you avoid it.
