They say that bitcoin is the future of money. What do you think if we use bitcoin in everyday lives as a money? Like buying foods. Or buying clothes. Do you imagine it positively or negatively?

It is possible, but not widely in the near future. It will take time. But if you'll visualize it deeply, it'll gonna be more convenient. Imagine a life without paper bills, all you just need to bring with you is a ledger wallet. Or your phone, scan the barcode to pay it, it will conserve time for people next in line to you when you are in a store. Also, when you lost your fiat, you won't be able to get it back. If you have crypto payment, there's a lot of security options you will have, like two-step verification, google authenticator, Private keys, and the like.

I can imagine it has a positive impact in our daily lives specially when we want to order items from abroad. We won't worry about conversion of the currency and the large processing fee.
Now that bitcoin is a mainstream asset, with futures contracts traded at the world's largest exchange, becoming actual money should be the logical next step. But if you were to ask investors their expectations, the reply in most cases would likely be: "Not in my lifetime."

As someone wrote here before bitcoin is officially forbidden in some countries like China and Taiwan. If the tendency continues btc will disappear.

There is no doubt that Bitcoin is the money of the future. But money has a lot of features, not just for shopping. For example, if a Chinese holds US dollar cash, he cannot use US dollar cash to purchase goods directly in China, but instead uses the dollar's hedging function. Many people are concerned about whether Bitcoin can achieve the function of buying coffee on the street. I think this is the most insignificant way to use it. It's like using a supercomputer to calculate high school mathematics.

Bitcoin is thought of as the future money. I think it's very difficult to be a common currency.
Bitcoin remains like other valuable assets. Gold, dollar, euro ..
With Bitcoin people do shopping but with a common currency

Bitcoin is world wide meaning it can be used all over the world. For example there are people who are accustomed to travel and have bitcoin, this will facilitate the exchange of money because the spread will be easier. The purpose of bitcoin was created to avoid a system of restraint ranging from political and monetary intervention. But bitcoin and other digital currencies so far have not been a strong competitor for cash in some countries like in Indonesia. But I am sure one day we can achieve that in the future.

Actually, it is a good idea to make bitcoin as the future of the money. It is likely what Satoshi purposes at first. But now, it seems to be difficult to realize it. For, many countries still hold and run the currency in fiat and traditional system. In this era, we may use the bitcoin as payment method for some certain transaction or make it as good investment, but for money as the traditional, it seems difficult. But in the enxt future by years, I still have no idea. Because, sometimes everything changes immediatelly and unpredictably. But in my opinion, I hope that sometimes Bitcoin can work together well with cash or traditional system in this world, hope many people realize this digital currency and many companies use the payment and transaction from bictoin.

Yes, I think in time the people will reach a point where they'll be using the bitcoin to buy things like food, coffee, and so on. what is stopping people from buying everyday stuff with bitcoin now is paying high transaction fees and by the time when the Lightning Network is ready and implemented. The Lightning Network will speed up the bitcoin transaction with almost zero fees, that time people would be allowed to use bitcoin the way they want.

This is what gave birth to bitcoin as the original vision of the one who made it, Satoshi, to use bitcoin as a digital currency without third parties involved. However, as the time goes by, bitcoin became an investment to a lot of its users and storage for wealth for big investors. I see it positively, cause why not? Using bitcoin as a payment to a lot of things that we're buying can be a great help, easy transactions, more cheaper and no taxes. I am thinking and hoping that we can achieve it in the near future

Bitcoin is money already. It is a currency that doubles as an asset and you can stand to make a lot of money from bitcoin when you invest int it.

Bitcoin as a money is a not that possible right now. Yes, we can still do some payment through bitcoin but it is not that often like the other people use their fiat. Bitcoin is serving as a mode of investment and not a money or a mode of payment. Bitcoin still need to improve a lot of stuff so it can become like the regular money that we have that can be use as a daily basis mode of payment.

bitcoin is one of the world's juiciest prizes for hackers. there must be thousands or tens of thousands who've tried to break it, let alone governments and banks, and they all went away with their heads bowed.

this forum would not still exist if bitcoin had been cracked. if it is we'll sure as hell know about it.

Yes of course it fits, I agree with you that bitcoin becomes money, but bitcoin is still a developing stage. Still some countries that receive it not all countries accept it. Maybe the future for bitcoin will be the currency.

While I see a scenario where bitcoin can be used for such small payments I think that it's unlikely in the near future. I think that first it will become accepted as a payment method for larger online transactions and later once it's better implemented it will be used in conjuction with electronic cards to pay for almost everything

You can use bitcoin now to buy goods and services, although not on larger scale and many merchants use 3rd party such as BitPay to evade unstable price of bitcoin and get fiat. So now it is strongly tied to fiat currency. In future hopefully people will like to have bitcoin rather than to get bitcoin and transfer it right away.

Why would you need electric cards? Because with this you will have to have 3rd party holding your coins or private key somehow embedded within card. To my mind it is far better and easier to use existing hot wallets within mobile phones.

Its a less hassle when bitcoin set as money. There are establishment who accept bitcoin as payment. As ive read before i heard that there are banks, fast food chain and hotels who allow bitcoin as payment. Maybe its not final but i hope it happens sooner or later. Everybody wants to experience about bitcoin as payment and hopefully it works.

well that would be good so we can use it directly, but I think it will take for so many years before it would happen. It would be exciting since bitcoin is volatile. So for me I take it positively.
