Is it possible to make Bitcoin as our Universal Currency?! ...

It already is.
Bitcoin is currently used within the United Federation of Planets and also within the Empire & the Trade Federation.
We are all emailing and requesting that the Rebel Groups and the Jedi accept Bitcoin as well, but they still favor PiggyCoin.

And why should we rebels follow the lead of the Empire and settle for a coin with 10X slower block times and associated with the Trade Federation? (Is that another name for Blockstream?) Piggycoin! For freedom!

No I wasn't making any statements related to blockstream or the blocksize debate.
Can a guy make a joke at the expense of another worthless repeat question posting
by a nub account without having to revert back to the blocksize debate?

But i can confirm that the Spaceballs Universe now accepts Bitcoin as well.

We are on our way fellas! *Moon launch detected*

I think one day it'll be possible to be up there so that BitCoin will be universally accepted as a regular currency. Time will tell though.

I don't see governments letting BTC overtake their overcontrolled and grossly overinflated fiat currencies. I hope I'm wrong about that though.

XMR (Monero) can't be traced like BTC can. If a govt bans BTC, XMR would still provide you with privacy.

I think now bitcoin can be used by many people from different countries in the world, so with that bitcoin has become a world currency or universal currency. So that is possible, but I think bitcoin has not been accepted by some parties. thank you

If it's used widely enough, it can be. But I wouldn't just limit BTC as a 'currency'. It's a whole new asset class that could become truly universal. It's like a commodity, currency, plaform, ledger, etc. all rolled into one.

It can be used by anyone in the world as long as they can go online and there's no need for the Government to adopt Bitcoin for it to be recognized as a Universal Currency. One reason why Bitcoin is not used in some countries is the absence of internet connection or slow connection and lack of merchants accepting Bitcoin in their country.

I don't think there is such thing as a "Universal Language" but it is a language which a huge number of people learnt and use on a daily basis. Bitcoin can be used as an universal currency but the acceptance and adoption rate is low. For it to be a universal currency, more people/places need to use Bitcoin and accept it.

Currently, most would prefer using fiat over Bitcoin.

Bitcoin may seem to be a Universal currency at this point but it is simply a means of exchange that is being used around the world. However, it is fairly new and it may not succed in becoming a trully Universal curency.

It's too difficult to bitcoin become a universal currency. the various opposition can tackle bitcoin and not only that. Just make someone belive with bitcoin it's very difficult because many people it's unfamiliar with bitcoin and hard to accept it.

I don't see it as universal currency before ~2030... To do this, like some people before me here said, it must be accepted all around the world - as you know I guess, Bitcoin is banned in some countries (Russia for example) and I can see why they are banning it - Bitcoin is created to switch the banking system and those people behind those banks will for sure do anything to not allow it... It's sad actually that the greed is so strong, but eventually the Bitcoin and the block chain technology will succeed, as it is meant to be the currency of the future. When will that happen? No one knows, even we may not be alive to see that, but one day I'm sure that it will replace the fiat system Wink

To be universal currency all countries should accept it and also bitcoin is not backed up by any fiat so price is volatile and i don't think bitcoin could be called as universal currency but it can soon be globally accepted currency.

I don't know, I haven't asked any aliens yet.

If you know any aliens, ask them.

Oh, you mean on earth.

Just give it time, it will. Unless another altcoin beats bitcoin to it.

Bitcoin is already universal virtual currency, widely used in all over the world.
Of course, we are not mainstream yet but coming closer to this goal.
In the long term I'm sure that everybody will accept Bitcoin as standard payment option because other payment services can't offer to users what we can (fast transaction, security, anonymity, no banks involved etc.).
