It's going to take a change in the law to see more of them here in the U.S. It requires a money transmitter license for each state you operate in.

I saw some videos in youtube that they're using atm with bitcoin i wonder how far it goes. because i know its hard to if its have an atm machine. we all know that bitcoin is made to be cryptocurrency which is intended to be used online for faster transaction with no extra cost just like other remittance center. but still i want to try to use atm machine of bitcoin and to see how it works and whats the advantages of it.
i think bitcoin atm is a good adea. but currently it is not working properly, it will be more helpful when the users of bitcoin will increase, and in such situation atm machines will be more helpful.

I do not get the idea of Bitcoin ATM. The only thing i see is that with bitcoin ATM, you will get the bitcoin converted to local currency and local currency comes out of the ATM machine. that's the only purpose is see for Bitcoin ATM. as bitcoin is untouchable so bitcoin cant come out of ATM machine  Grin

here in our country, our local bitcoin wallets gives us the advantage of using atm on withdrawing bitcoin. they let us withdraw from the option we want like automated tellering machine. even if you have no card but want to send money, you can choose the withdraw from the atm even if you have one. that atm have the option of withdrawing with cardless. it will just ask for the reference number and the secret passcode which will be sent to you via email.

This is what every bitcoin users want to be implemented to every country, a fast and efficient way to encash money because for sure if we have this waiting for long confirmation for every transaction will be lesser. But we need now is to be recognize the bitcoin in every country to have easy access with this.

I think having a bitcoin ATM as a business  is a good idea but I have a question for this If I am going to withdraw my bitcoins to a bitcoin ATM should I still need to wait for 2 hours or more for the transaction to be confirmed before I can take the money ? If that so then it would be a lot of hassle to consumer didn't it?

...

I've used BTC ATMs ("BTMs") in three different cities including my own.

I also spoke with one of the directors of a small company that has +/- 5 BTMs here.  He told me that there are several expenses that people do not think about (rent at the store, damage to machines by angry users, expense of buying the machines themselves, US ,gov reporting requirements, etc.).  That is one reason that BTM fees can be so high (maybe averaging 14%).

Also, it has been YEARS now that I have used a BTM not requiring substantial ID/KYC/cellphone number.  One was in NYC, one was in Vancouver (Canada).

Still, even with the drawbacks I mention above, they have a certain convenience if you have trouble setting up meetings via localbitcoins (I have bought BTC via them, but it is generally a hassle for me).

That's a very brilliant idea to have soon if bitcoin atm is implemented worldwide, at least people have an option of their money which bitcoin atm brings your money to viewed as digital currency and converted it to fiat with a cash withdrawal options via atm machine. A big dream is now becoming a reality to most users of bitcoin and now its possible to everyone to learn all about it through that visionary of bitcoin atm.

I have 2 Bitcoin ATMs in my country.
One doesn't work, the other has such high fees that you might as well use Virwox or Bitcointalk to buy Bitcoin.
I really can't see the ATM business booming anytime soon. I wouldn't even use it to get cash, I'd much rather convert to my currency and withdraw to my bank account. Everyone is using some type of card these days anyways.

It seems mostly people needs to scan bitcoin barcode, than accept transaction and etc, it's simply tiresome. In my country people can to cashout bitcoin with local bank's card, simply bitcoin is converted into usd immediately when you withdraw money from atm and to my mind it's good.
If you are to going bitcoin atm business, you need machine for money withdraw, some part of territory or can to contact banks and add that function under your control on their atm.

ATM's were getting served as a major business recently after the trading, exchange and gambling website development. The initial cost for this seems huge, so that I don't think individuals are getting into this business. These were into the hands of Big companies who hold big funds for innovative investments.
