Topic: Bitcoin ATM (Read 2263 times)
Most people I talk about btc with are skeptical because it seems like such a pain to buy and sell them. Having more atm's would go a long way to solving this problem. Good luck with your ATM and hopefully more get them.
Completely off the topic....but related..
The question is to those people who already have a BTC ATM,
Q. How many times have people actually used them at your store?
Q. if there are a good number of people using them, do you know why they use it....or why they dont?
Q. What are you doing to get people interested in BTC.
Q. Do you use a cached value...or update the BTC/USD based on the latest exchange value.
I asked all these questions because i am from a neighborhood where people would think twice about btc, maybe your answers would solve some of my questions.

I part of a business in the UK that makes acrylic stone furniture, we made bars before and a kiosk, I always been interested if we could come up with an ATM but need partners.

Bitcoin ATM is very good for your Bar business. I think you will be profitable with this..
I'm up all night trying to figure this out. I'm not really trying to profit much. Maybe breakeven is good enough for me. Whats important is the BTM introduce bitcoin to a community.

can the ATM use others coins for pay?like ltc doge.
I would assume so. If OP's isn't, I'm sure it would be really easy to implement as long as you could access the current prices of whatever coin it is. I might implement this with mine. Make trading a lot easier.

I like this idea and have thought about doing it myself, but hacking up an ATM via a Raspberry Pi and other parts ("other parts" being rather vague).
Might I ask how you go about finding places to put the ATMs? Or you just happen to have friends that own the businesses?
