This is very hard to happen, if not impossible. Bitcoin price is volaltile, and if you check its chart history since 2010 you will see that it is going up and down all the time, but in general the price keep going up year after year. So thats not the first time the price go down, and then there are no real reasons to panic.

One day the price is going to be zero, no doubt. The time when people will not need bitcoin anymore will come. I only hope this year nothing like that will happen Smiley

Then $250,000,000,000 will come to Gold and Silver. When you sell you get money.  Wink

This will not happen. bitcoin is still high at $ 9000 it's hard to lower it to $ 50. because the bitcoin market is expanding around the world. bitcoin has a strong influence on the world currency system. Big economies will find no way to bitcoin down low.

This is beyond surreal IMO. Even with the massive slumps BTC is experiencing right now, it still is hard to see that bitcoin would touch $100 again, let alone sub-$100. There needs to be some form of catastrophe before this even comes true. There are already loads of deep pockets invested and have profited from bitcoin to just let their money-making machine die in vain. Think of all the hundreds of millions of dollars invested in mining machines alone; do you think these mining operators would simply let the fad die out easily?

I think even if Bitcoin was essentially banned in most major countries, bitcoin would still stay above $50, simply because it's so hard to stop people using it.

Bitcoin has value in its utility, it is still better than VISA for transacting value between countries, in particular those with sanctions and international transfer limits. If bitcoin slumps to $50, I will go mad.

If bitcoin goes low, ALL crypto currency goes low.
That will never happen because the future needs crypto currency when governments, wars, corruption happen... Bitcoin/Crypto is safe from that madness of inflation and counterfeits.

Yes. Why not. In this crypto world anything  is possible. It is difficult to stay always on top.  Now its time to another coin to become a king of all altcoin.

No, it's not quite possible for now. Don't post some random number like $50 or $100 because I don't think it is possible for the bitcoin to reach this much downside. But yes, now there are chances that any other coin can take the place of Bitcoin. I am expecting either Etheruem is going to top the rank in the crypto market or you can expect Litecoin to reach the number one spot. I think both these coins are having some great potential to defeat the bitcoin during this short-term deeper correction.

What is your vision on its lowest price? And why?

Large investors and hedge funds took silver price to $80/ounce in 1980. How did Silver come down to $9/ounce in 2015 ??

Bitcoin can go to $20 since it is super-hyip speculative asset.

I doubt that will ever happen. I think that Bitcoin can slip all the way to $5000, but $50 will never happen if you ask me. As the others have stated, many big investors engage in high volume trades(BTC) on a regular basis and buy the dip and sell at the top. In this aspect, the current bear market has triggered a dip which many investors like me are excited about and are buying the dip. This will most likely cause a rally in the near future and help Bitcoin reach $20k again soon. Rest of the crypto market will rally along and we might a situation like the recent December situation pretty soon.

Is this post even real ? Like seriously , i don't understand why people are so negative about whatever is going on right now . It is just such  shame that inspite of such a good growth in bitcoin from years people are just speculating for it to go as low as $50 .
That is what causes the real sink in the price , Allt the panic and the nuisance.

I think the answer is quite simple: what is the lowest possible cost to mine 1 BTC ?

Last time I checked prices, I believe it was about 1500 dollar in Ukraine and Kuwait. It would not seem logical (but logical does not equal possible) if prices went lower than mining cost. As a matter of fact it would even seem dangerous for the future of the coin since all stimulation to mine would be lost if prices go to far below the real mining cost.

Here's a recent list of mining price per country:

It's horrible when it's true. But I believe the bitcoin is down to $ 8000, so it's going to increase again. Because bitcoin is a digital coin, there are so many companies, corporations and people investing in it. If the bitcoin drops sharply to $ 50, it will greatly affect the world economy, especially the world currency system. bitcoin managers, countries such as Japan and the United States will find ways to boost the price of bitcoin again.

Bitcoin it's not impossible for to be 50 $ .this looks like a funny and bitcoin miners will not allow the price to come to this level and it happen in future it's like unluckily .

Can we expect bitcoin below $50 ?

Now, this is extremely bull-shit nothing else. Bitcoin is not that weak which may it to fall below $50, despite market going down one cannot expect to face such time as people know its importance and will continue to use in the coming days. Bitcoin will go more and show its potential in the coming days.

I can't see it going below $500, more like $1k.

Then another bubble, but it's not going to go to $20 k this time. maybe $5k to $10k.

Then maybe $50
