Did you miss the word "compressed"? Wink
Yes, I did =/

Hehe, I often mistype and misread posts as well, especially when I am tired.
But looks like I am in a great shape today, even though I have already spent hours on bitcointalk lol. Cheesy

You can find an out-dated compressed bootstrap file "bootstrap.7z" through my link.

Yes, I did =/

Here is a version from Oct 2013.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitcoinblockchain/files/29-10-2013/
Still working and providing at least 750KB/s (im on a shared wireless conection so you can probably do better)

Id rather download the uncompressed data and let my own client do the verification though.

I don't think it's compressed anywhere.

Think again, though the compressed file is out-dated (last update in Feb 2013) and the https doesn't work. Smiley
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.1542846

Code:
Index of /bin/blockchain/

../
README.txt                                         14-Apr-2014 17:13                2559
bootstrap.dat.torrent                              14-Apr-2014 16:59              167601
bootstrap.dat.torrent.gpg                          14-Apr-2014 16:59              168187
bootstrap.txt                                      14-Apr-2014 17:13                1063

Looks like your information is out-dated Wink

The bootstrap.dat file seems pretty up-to-date. I mean, not a lot of blocks missing.

IIRC, the file will be updated everytime we get a new version in bitcoin qt.

I also have the same question, if would be awesome if someone provided a .torrent for the date.

There is a torrent its called bootstrap.dat and can be found here:

https://bitcoin.org/bin/blockchain/

This will however not be the full blockchain, but only a big part of it.

See also here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-bitcoin-blockchain-data-torrent-145386

https://bitcoin.org/bin/blockchain/bootstrap.txt
The current bootstrap.dat covers blocks up to 295000.

hello guys
where can i download entire bitcoin blockchane till today in compressed file ?
thanks in advance  Smiley

Download it yourself and zip it or compress it yourself. Youll have to update it it very often to keep up with the new found blocks.

nice rig  Wink

roughly you can check GPU consumption on https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison or https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison

but to be precise you really need multimeter, e.g. kill-a-watt

thank you Wusolini
i really appreciate your help  Smiley

no problemo Wink, I like to help others if I can

If you are talking about your computer it is hard to calculate it. Your local electricity company should lend you a multimeter for free. Make sure you test the power consumption for at least 1 hour while the rig is running under normal circumstances.

The special hardware (ASICs) usually the information somewhere online.

E.g. CoinTerra TerraMiner IV eats 1200 Watt

of course, you edit while I was writing reply.

post above is correct, you have to get multimeter for precise value otherwise you have to count it from consumption stated by manufacturer.

but overclocked devices consume much more.

what devices we actually talking about?

thank you guys,

sorry for mess
i was editing my post because i am limited for post every 6 min, so...

and about the devise, im talking about a rig with :
3 X asus hd 7950 DCII
MB msi gd80
CPU amd 8520
RAM 8GB
PS green 1350w

i have plan to mine X11 and scrypt, but most likely X11, as i heard it has les heat and of cource it is kinda power saver

i have a question about measuring the power consumption of a rig
how can i measure it?

it just has been suggested to use a special hardware for this
is there any other way to do it?
thank you

thanks very much guys
i think the mod has corrected the title BTW, so thank to him too
i think i will stick to the lightweight client as i do not like to download more than 20GB of blockchane

great choice sir.
Title is not corrected yet, you should do this  Wink

It's blockchain  Cheesy, but the thread title still seems to be the same. Have you looked at using an online wallet? I recommend blockchain.info which doesn't need to download the blockchain. Check out their website and you can try a demo account.

I recommend you multibit. because you have wallet on your harddrive and you can make easy backup.

oh Shocked
it is corrected now
sorry
would you mind to answer my second question in my pre post?
thank you, i will check them and i think im gonna use both of em, blockchain.info and multibit

is here the right place to ask this question or i need to open a new thread about it?

actually i've searched the bitcointalk forum about it and couldn't find a direct answer
it just has been suggested to use a special hardware for this
is there any other way to do it?
