I've been keeping up with Bitcoin and investing for the past year, and Im wondering if anyone thinks it will drop back down to 6 - 6.5k in the upcoming months?
I've read a lot of projections and there is a mixed consensus but several "vets" agree it's due for a big drop.
What does everyone think?

For me that in spite of both bearish and bullish are spreading in everyday news in which its just make the listeners like us to be more confused to which is with more possibilities then better we will wait and see because for me nothing can truly predict the Bitcoin movement but only the big whales in which lucky enough if you have a connections of some of them so that you could be able to ride whenever they pump and dump the value.

I think for the next few months bitcoin prices will increase rather than decrease.
Just like the year before it, there is no mistaking her trying to invest in bitcoin within the next few months.

I think bitcoin will soon start traveling up the price again, and to return again in 6.5k it's very difficult for now, and I do not expect that to happen.

It is definitely a bullish year, as all others. If bullish means that bitcoin's price will be higher on 31st December 2018 then it was on 1st January 2018.

The Bearish period is winding  off gradually, as Bitcoin is moving gradually to $10,000, I feel strongly that the correction is over, and BTC  will hit $20,000 aT The peak of  the bullish period in 2018.

Definitely bullish. Just look at the graphs from earlier years. The only thing keeping the value so low rn is all the FUDs.

the only thing that is certain that at this point there is no reason for that kind of drop. with things that we can see NOW we can speculate that price will be above $10k in less than a month and in the upcoming months price can be back to $15k levels.
the future unexpected incidents are not predictable so we do not use them in our speculations. we may see something happen and cause a drop to that low price or we may see something else happen and cause a rise to $100k!

give us the links to these "vets"! just because some random idiot is one the internet making guesses doesn't mean they are worth listening to. there are a lot of idiots saying price will fall down to $1000 and there are a lot of other idiots saying price will rise to $500000. stop wasting your time reading what idiots say Tongue

Were in stable market now,and within this q2'theres no dip happening instead we will going for gold now..the market has been bearish for almost four months mow, thats why i am sure we will be heading to the moon now..

we all know how the game works, right? sometime it grows sometime drop down. anything can be happen actually, but i believe if it drops it wont drops that much low at all. but my view says, it will rise more.
Its volatility that whats makes the market ups and downs..and yes it wont be back without good explanatin

All could happen in an unexpected way, but for now I think bitcoin has the potential to rise further by the end of this year.

You need to be very positive and the we have already experience this in 2017 how in couple of months the price rose. So only 4 months have passed in 2018 and btc is nearing 10k now and in next 8 months it can easily move 10k more so overall 20k could be happening soon in this year.

As such its pretty difficult to predict these things, though i personally feel that things will be more bearish, primarily because you still have so many absolutely worthless tokens on the market. There is what now some 1600 cryptocurrencies as per coin market cap, most of which are dead/ fraudulent or have no use case apart from helping their founders raise money through the ICO. I feel that a purge of these coins are necessary, and only once that has happened would i feel markets have truly corrected. (this naturally will result in a pretty catastrophic correction of the entire market for a while before you have another new cycle begin. That being said im not planning on selling my BTC because well impossible to predict this stuff.

But in such a scenario you'd only want to be holding Bitcoin cause almost all the ALTS will experience a massive crash.

People talk about the fact that ICOS have raised nearly 13 billion or so over the last year. Yet they forget that most of this has been raised in cryptos and has not yet been cashed out, When these ICO tokens attempt to cash  out they might find that there isnt enough liquidity. Ether here would be particular vulnerable. For example EOS has supposedly raised nearly 5% of the entire ether supply, so what happens to ether when they try to cash that out. This of course is assuming they arent just recycling already raised funds via their ICO.

Again all this makes one feel that the alt bloodbath and purge will be massive, and will drag the entire market down with for a while. Again why you'd want to be holding only bitcoin in this scenario.

Of course this does not change the long term (over 5-10 yeas) bullish trend for Bitcoin.

I would not see bitcoin will dump again, bitcoin will keep increase until few years ahead although when correction still happen but that's not a thing that should be worry about, that's normal thing. And the price is impossible to reach again. Bitcoin will uncase its flag in the high pole.

I don't think its due for a big drop but some correction before price can break $10k is possible so if you are planning to buy some more bitcoin than don't buy right now but if you haven't bought bitcoin before than you should have some and keep some in fiat to buy at lower price if there will be dump.

When you want to trade bitcoin you always have to keep rotating your hand between crypto and fiat. Hold might not always work...

It is possible. But I am very optimistic for the upcoming months as I see it already reached $10,000 today. Furthermore, I wasn't surprise of it's price today, the market is majority looking green. Looking forward for the bitcoin to push the popularity again in cryptocurrency world.

If you already owned bitcoin, then continue to hodl it until the corrections will made. We still have many more challenges and hindrance before we can reach the peak.

It is possible that bitcoin could go back to that value since bitcoin is volatile. But that is just a possibility and at a low percentage since the charts are telling us something. If we look at the charts the value of bitcoin will even surge up to 12k$ this may if it will not go down back to 8700$. But I do believe that it is possible that we can break the 10k$ value this may and we can go back to 20k$ or more this coming december.
