This can be because Bitcoin easily makes the price move and has full control over the money. And it provides a high level security. So it might be a national treasure.

Bitcoin is truly a treasure for someone who achieved even a single piece of it. Its value transcends that of a precious gold dust, proven that most people spend most of their time and effort to gain one bitcoin atleast. One can say that a bitcoin can replace everything; from salary, currency and that of a treasure. A country with its citizen having much reserve of bitcoins can be a powerful economic advantage.

Can we consider bitcoins as national treasure of a country comsidering its economic significance?

Yes, Bitcoin can be a national asset. Bitcoin can be a big part of our economy and it can enrich itself. But the country's government will have a major role in it because bitcoin will have to give legitimacy to the country. Then Bitcoin may one day be the national asset.

Bitcoin doesn't belong to any one nation so it can never be a "national" treasure.

Right. It's an INTERnational treasure because its price doesn't vary by country. Its price is all the same around the globe. But it IS a treasure and it will soon change a lot in this world Wink

Sure. International or Global.
But I believe, despite rumors, many governments are interested in adopting BTC because it might help them in many ways, so they might see it as treasure, but with global turnover and international prices it is still more international than national, of course.
Its nice to see a little sense in this thread, bitcoin belong to users, and users are all of us. I need to correct the guy in the middle, bitcoin doesn`t have same price around the globe, prices vary greatly depending on the country in which the exchange is located. You have one price in US, another in EU, and in Asia price of bitcoin is always a bit higher, I don`t know why, even that is explained here on forum by some people I`m not convinced they are right about that. Bitcoin can be treasure for anyone who collect it investing in it, it can be a single man or country.

Developed countries see Bitcoin as an asset in the economy, finding the great potential that Bitcoin brings to the market. The rise of science and technology is a great stepping stone for national development.

I don't think that it is the case really because when we say using of the bitcoin in the real world with the stuff like salaries, payment solutions, daily payments etc then it doesn't really fit in the criteria because it doesnt have sufficient protocols which can fulfil the criteria in day to day life. Bitcoin lacks the system or infrastructure which may be put in place to have these needs completed.
Imagining the bitcoin at centre of national treasure looks very distant and might take some more time.

It can be possible. If some country accept bitcoin then the currency can be a national treasure. Because  some of the country prohibited bitcoin nationally. If they accept bitcoin then it can be a national treasure.

Yes it could be a national treasure but this would depend on how people values it and find it very much useful especially in their daily lives. Without much utility many might just consider it as something that doesn't really exist and as if nobody knows it. But if it gets into the senses of every individual because it becomes an indespensable thing then for sure it will be treasured and remembered as much.

Recently I heard news that some small countries are started reserve the Bitcoins in their treasure. It's not huge but the thinking is already started by various Governments. If every Government wants to store bitcoins as reserve then Bitcoin value will skyrocket significantly. We have long time to go. First Governments should understand that they will fail by introducing their own centralised digital currency because the blockchain and bitcoin is not designed to meant for that. It's objectives itself says decentralisation. So first we will see Govt fail and then we will see the rapid phase of real adoption of public cryptocurrency.
