The Thai Securities and Exchange Commission announced the names of seven firms that received a temporary permit to carry out activities related to crypto-currencies in the country. Only a few large exchanges and crypto-exchangers received a temporary deferral until a final decision was made.

Well, I don't think it can be used as a national treasure based on the high volatility often experience in the Cryptoworld. It will good rate today and terrible tomorrow. It's definitely gonna take some good measures put in place before it can be used as such purpose.

Bitcoins can also be called treasures. But now, Bitcoin and some other currencies may explode. However, in the future Bitcoin still stands firmly on the market quickly.

Bitcoin will not to going to explode. This might be down at the moment but soon enough it will go up again. With this of its value rise then probably more people will liked bitcoin because of its value. And we all know if we talk about treasure it is connected to the value. Therefore it only means that bitcoin value will rise that it may become a treasure.

Bitcoin is truly a treasure for someone who achieved even a single piece of it. Its value transcends that of a precious gold dust, proven that most people spend most of their time and effort to gain one bitcoin atleast. One can say that a bitcoin can replace everything; from salary, currency and that of a treasure. A country with its citizen having much reserve of bitcoins can be a powerful economic advantage.

Can we consider bitcoins as national treasure of a country comsidering its economic significance?

some parts that you say I think are absurd, yes bitcoin won't be able to change a country's economy, don't you understand it with simple logic, if bitcoin goes down like this what will happen in that country. Well, this is my question for you so you can change your point of view

This is a bad idea to consider bitcoin to be a national treasure or as a treasure. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency who intended purpose is to transact goods and services. Bitcoin is meant to be an alternative option for payment.  It is wrong to consider bitcoin as a treasure.......

No, because it's not a store of value. It's interesting for a country to have as "national treasure" assets that don't depreciate its price, like precious metals, or any other good that has an intrinsyc value for an example. Bitcoin is very volatile and can compromise the country's economy a lot due to its fluctuations.

Bitcoin is a treasure which can be won or earned by us. This indeed is a good investment and multi profitable currency which can be much more profitable for us. Hence i think that the OP is saying it correctly. Bitcoins are a treasure for us which can make us rich.

Yes it has definitely revolutionized the traditional currency system.

It has made significant impact for some countries who were dealing with problems like inflation which can be of value when fiat collapses.

if you are considering it as a national treasure, no it can't be. In order to be a national treasure it has to belong to a nation or a if i'm not mistaken a group of nations it can also be. Bitcoin does not belong to anywhere but instead to everywhere and everyone who has any portion of it.
As for a national asset, well, that can be done yes. Actually there is a small principality that has BTC as his current coin https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Principality_of_Pontinha

Bitcoin can be a treasure , but i dont think it will become a national treasure . Because some country banning bitcoin , some government against bitcoin.  So it can only be a treasure for the country that are free on using bitcoin .

Think of the organizational issues. It's just not a pragmatic solution for governments. They wouldn't want to have the whole country functioning on something that is out of their hands. They like to promote the illusion of democracy and free choice when in reality they seem to believe that they need to be in power to guide the poor.

A centralized system of governance cannot run on a decentralized monetary system. They would feel powerless. Only when we can achieve decentralized systems of governance through live democracy would something like this work

yes absolutely,, but that only depends on its high value,, which makes it a bit contradictory on it being considered a national treasure

It is undeniable that the development of BTC is immensely flourishing and it is being anticipated by the experts that by 2030 BTC could be the world’s largest digital currency so I think it is possible.

yes it looks like bitcoin can be a national treasure, but I think maybe the country will imitate bitcoin and make digital coins themselves

If we have a look on the revolution of BTC in recent years then it is definitely remarkable. And BTC is becoming mainstream worldwide gradually so there are possibilities for it to be a national treasure.

In my opinion, bitcoin is the most sophisticated and newest development and also has no inflation, maybe when Bitcoin turns out to be a very valuable treasure.

This is an interesting question because there is no country which can be in charge of Bitcoin because it is still decentralized and it's not able to be owned by any country in the world.
