Bitcoin certificate? Why don't you choose learning about Blockchain? Because on Coursera Blockchain and Bitcoin have a different lessons.

There are several online courses that also issued certificates for similar courses, and that's good. One of them is Blockchaininstitute.com.
Although certificates are almost useless to show your abilities, they are useful to explain whether the place you learn is credible or not, and it will definitely help you to get a job in this field.

Anyway, I think such certifications are useful for (as they say): project architects, accountants, compliance departments, but not really sales (unless Bitcoin is being offered as a payment method by the org).

This kind of stuff would be useful in crypto exchanges and fintechs, but that's about it.

I think it might be useful for people who write in news websites as well. Such as bitcoin magazine and so on

I would asterisk that with a "*professional news websites" because anyone can make a crypto news platform without such a certificate (there's a huge market for copywriters) but to become a reporter for one of them, you ought to have a previous history of journalism or at the very least a degree in journalism.

but who is authorized to give them a certificate that they are the official for giving certificates to other persons? I mean, where is the beginning?

In my country, there are two companies which are responsible for the certification and testing of goods. Every year, company A certifies company B in order to become accredited for that. a little later, Company B issues a certificate to Company A and so they go round and round every year. But they were initially approved by the state administration.

The authority from which c4 certifies people is based on the people behind it, specially antonopoulos  and Vitalik buterin.

Let's take a look at where the word Authority comes from:

Of course it's something not useful for today but also depends on the job you are seeking because most of the companies nowadays already know Bitcoin and to add some of those certificates to your CV, is something good and you might get a little chance from others to get hired.
I am not sure there is any brick and mortar company that would want to see a BTC certificate included in your CV for you to be hired, almost all of them would not care about your knowledge in BTC, this may change in the long term, but for now this is the case. In my humble opinion this BTC certification can only be useful for someone who wants to offer their service to a BTC related project online, most times when you want to get hired by a BTC or crypto project to do some work for them, they usually ask if you are skilled in BTC and crypto too, maybe showing them your certificate and providing other forms of previous experience may help to get the person hired, it is not required now, but this is the only benefit i can see of this certification.

Interesting how it is required to pay for the certification using cryptocurrency, as opposed to just one of many payment methods.

What would be the benefit of the certificates? Bitcoin knowledge is not particularly a CV worthy addition at this time.

You can of course learn about Bitcoin and use that for your personal use; invest or trade (or mine if you have the capital). I personally don't see the purpose of a Bitcoin certificate or the desire by some to have Bitcoin taught to kids or college students. Niche assets can be learnt under financial education, which I believe should be an integral part of school's curriculum, but teaching each separately doesn't seem practical.

Bragging rights. There are many industries coming out since the internet was made available to everyone. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for example falls into Internet marketing but were not since taught in schools or universities but there are somewhat made up councils and digital groups releasing certificates for anyone who undergo orientations and video courses.

Blockchain and cryptocurrency the same with it but I think this will fall under Finance course. Its the same with FOREX but are not also being taught in schools. But experts got the rights to teach on those willing to learn and get paid.

This is indeed a good idea, and it's probably badly needed. When we ask people about the first thing that comes to their mind when they hear the word Bitcoin, they probably would answer along the lines of its price movements and investment and the like.

I personally know of persons who don't know a thing about decentralization, clueless about the Lightning Network, and so on and yet trade Bitcoin and other coins.

For them to be aware why Bitcoin is decentralized, how its supply is abuse-proof, how its security is maintained, how fake Bitcoins are avoided, and so forth would certainly make them realize what Bitcoin is truly for.

Certified courses do not always have to be delivered by public officials or by the ministry of education or whatever it is called in each country, there are institutions that are not approved by official bodies but give "x" courses but they are very good, that is, they give knowledge.

But this courses must have support governmental, that is, if they are not sealed or endorsed by the Ministry of Education, they do not have the formality that you have that knowledge, even if you do, it is absurd!, yeah that is why you get mediocre professionals in different areas, not only public (Governms) also private to be honest. (I know alls know that, but to give continuity to my idea).

So, this is how our society works, they look at what university you come from, where you did your postgraduate, doctorate, etc. and they hire you, they trust a lot in the paper, its seal and if it is endorsed by an institution that is approved or registered for such purposes.

And in that sense, companies like IBM, Microsoft, Citco, among others that I know, give certificates, and they do not need the government to certify them to have an approval from an employer, but when you are advancing academically and you need to register, for example in a certain career to not take a certain subject that you master, so you save time, a certificate of this type is not useful to you, the reason!, the company may be well recognized but it does not have a government seal or is not registered with the government to issue certificates officers.

And if you go abroad (e.g. emigrate), they do not apostill documents that are not certified by government-registered institutions.

The point of all this is that there is no "official" (Governms) institution in the world that officially certifies knowledge in bitcoin, in fact I do not remember or I do not know if El Salvador with those courses that were mentioned in this same board are endorsed by the government Salvadoran.

In any case, the point is, what  such a thing is useful to peoples, because for the legal level we are talking about, the knowledge of bitcoin is empirical and therefore does not need any body to approve it, so this type of  "courses" help to many people who want to start building formal academic knowledge, which is technically called an academic curriculum, and is the support of the "curriculum vitae"

BtW, We have a thread on our board where we analyzed the job offer at the region, and was not zero (0%) aleast with the requirement "knowledge in cryptocurrencies" and some very specific ones in "bitcoin", the job offer exists .

So in a world still dominated by old bureaucratic schemes surely someone with a paper that says "Cryptocurrency/bitcoin course" can have a chance. That is, if he could actually do it like in something that the OP mentions, then it works.

Now do not confuse taking courses for work, with the idea that people to use bitcoin have to take a course, they are two different areas of focus.

In any case it's just my pinion with 2 sat.

We have a lot of online courses online program which people participate an an IT course. If bitcoin we have such program going on online that is certificate will be issued to the students I as a  graduates it’s would be a great one.
What for the certificate? It doesn't always reflect how good someone's knowledge about Bitcoin is. It also cannot guarantee that he has good skills in trading, investment, or mining. And we cannot use the certificate to apply for both online jobs or RL jobs. So, the certificate looks to be useless. If you want to be a good trader, investor, or miner, you need a lot of experience besides learning from any sources. That's the only thing to do, it has nothing to do with the certificate.

It’s looks great. We all know various type of certificate program in Computer Programs. As we all know C,C++ ,Java ,Oracle.By doing certificates in crypto currency was the essential one for now. Many people in my country have their trading classes for their income.Everyone should learn trading by using their money. After learning good trading, you can inverse it.Then you can inverse the money in trading to gain good money from it.Certificate program on trading will help to join the crypto currency company itself.

Yes, this is also what I initially thought, when you want to become a software programmer, you need to be certified from some good IT companies so that the chances of you getting hired is high because majority of the companies are looking for this certification.

However, this is the first time that I heard about bitcoin or blockchain. Not saying that I'm against it, but this could be the next trend specially that blockchain technology is also making it's way to several sectors and industries not just in IT.

After the duration of the learning, the course certificates will be issued to the students by BITCOIN.
Bitcoin is not an institution or organization.

Exactly this statement also got my attention, I was amazed when I saw that part that states, certificates will be offered by Bitcoin. At this point, I think the ops must be confused about some facts that have led to such an exaggerated statement. We are fine with just Bitcoin being the best alternative to fiat and also as an edge against inflation but to say Bitcoin should become a course of study will take some time to achieve even though, there are already some online Bitcoin courses but this is still limited and not in government-approved institutions.

The certificate for Bitcoin isn't a good idea. But a certificate for crypto learning like a solidity certificate would be a good idea. Actually, it would be based on Blockchain, not Bitcoin or altcoin only. There are already a lot of paid courses about Blockchain and I believe they would get the certificate as well. Who knows if there is already any platform like this?

So guys, what do you think it is certificate program has been introduced. It may not be easy to understand.
But with time everyone may get use to it.
Would it be great if a certificate programs is introduced on behalf of bitcoin.

A certificate is important especially when it is a criteria to get a job. And in most countries certificate are so important that it is sometimes recognized more than skills. But I think practice knowledge is more important than certificate, therefore I don't think a Bitcoin certificate would be of great importance. Bitcoin knowledge can be acquired through personal studies very cheaply. But I am not insinuating that some courses offered on Bitcoin in some institutions is not important. They can also be very useful.

Another question would be who would issue the so-called Bitcoin certificate? Institutions that offer courses on Bitcoin and blockchain technology can give certificate that is backed or signed by these institutions. There might never be a Bitcoin certificate because most important actors in the Bitcoin space are anonymous.

Certificates are good and add ideas for employers on how vast your knowledge is. And including that in the IT curriculum is also good but since it's IT, it's more information and that will be just part of the course and subjects but won't be the main thing. It depends on the curriculum of that school if they'll divide the majors and one of them will be cryptocurrencies/bitcoin/blockchain.

I believe c4 is one of the best out there.

https://cryptoconsortium.org/

I used to be certified,  but it expired.  You need to pay a fee to make the exam.

Antonopoulos is a director of c4 group, this is why I took their exam. Vitalik buterin and jameson loop are members as well.

https://cryptoconsortium.org/team-c4/
I agree, this group - C4 is one of the most reputable even if we say that bitcoin is decentralized and there's no governing body that's authorized to control it. At least this group is composed of reputable folks that we're looking up in this sphere. Well, some may still not recognize them but maybe in the near future, more enterprises will based their standards from them since they're the early group that has done so much.

I think certificates for work are almost never asked, even if there are only for certain parts, but almost on average they don't ask for the certificate, they only ask what skills and work experience they have before applying at their place,
the certificate may be useful for us to apply for a higher level school, having a certificate will have a plus in the majors that match our certificate

and for the bitcoin problem, I think searching on google or published books is quite understandable by all people,I salute, the course you offer is optimistic in giving kindness to people who do not understand bitcoin

There is nothing bad if someone can introduce the course, or you can just go to a university that offer crypto courses to study there. There are also some learning which someone can go for like the one offered by Micheal Saylor. But know that bitcoin is not an institution or organization. But to invest in bitcoin does not need any professional study, anyone that learn price history about bitcoin can analyse and speculate what could be the further price of bitcoin.
