I don’t believe so, IMO bitcoin is not losing popularity but it is the opposite. Yes, it is true that we are experiencing a continues drop in price and it seems that the price is consistent in the range from $8-$9k for days which may discourage investors but despite the drop in bitcoins popularity is still increasing. A lot of people nowadays know bitcoin or has interest in bitcoin, not only that quite a few companies or stores are also accepting bitcoin as a payment and I guess some other companies are now studying bitcoin and probably they will also accept bitcoin as another mode of payment.

Bitcoin is an online currency.  Even if started with a lower price.  Now its value is beyond the reach of ordinary people. But, nowadays, it seems that Bitcoin is losing its popularity.Because, not receiving validity in low income countries. It may be the main reason.

I beg to disagree!  Bitcoin is more popular now than ever if we correlate it to the number of wallet users as per data from the graph below which shows that wallet users have increased by more than four folds in just a span of 3 years alone and this clearly shows that Bitcoin is indeed getting more popular as compared to previous years!

Bitcoin is not losing its popularity. Almost everyday there are news about adoption of bitcoin and cryotocurrency by different entities. Everyday new people are discovering the world of bitcoin, mostly becayse of their friends.
Just because the value is increasing, that doesn't necessarily mean that low income countries can't afford it. My country is part of a third world country yet crypto is being widely accepted here. And there are a lot of users engaging themselves with bitcoin.
As of now, there are more people getting into bitcoin than people leaving bitcoin.

My judgment may be because some people feel that for two years the price of bitcoin is unsatisfactory and they have waited too long for the price of bitcoin to rise so they sell it is their decision even though it is only a small profit or can only be a loss, they just feel worried because the movement is very slow and there is also for those who feel hesitant to buy bitcoin and but that does not mean it can reduce the popularity of bitcoin.
bitcoin remains the most popular coin in cryptocurrency and only takes time to prove or provide a satisfactory price value like 2017 or maybe more.

I do not agree with your statement on bitcoin losing popularity because it is still known by large number of people and many more new investors are gathering their interest in it.Although the huge investments have been not made this year but after the correction many investors will invest in it and price will surge once again. So don't spread any type of negativity around you. Btc will always remain the king of crypto in market.

1 bitcoin is maybe beyond reach but you can buy it in decimals. When it was at $3,000 you probably said that and will said it again when it reaches $20,000 again soon.

Bitcoin is not losing its popularity. Instead it is becoming more popular. Bakkt was launched, Binance entered in the US and many more coming soon as halving is nearing to happen.

Low income countries don't represent the big volume of bitcoin users, investors and traders.

Maybe you just lack updates my friend.  Grin

This is ironic, how can bitcoin be losing it's popularity when all the media talks about this day is bitcoin, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology in general. Facebook is jumping on the technology therefore exposing the trend to more people. The dominance of bitcoin is also on the increasing so unless you have some statistics to back your claim I'll just presume you're assuming this claims.

First of all I don't think Bitcoin is losing popularity. It's just not that much of an ecstasy which it was a couple of years ago. People don't Eureka when they have one bitcoin. They don't brag about it instead just store it in their wallets and live lives peacefully. Most of the times you would see people with no crypto loudly shouting that bull run is here and all those stuff

Secondly, Bitcoin was intended to be a worldwide currency. Not just for the first world currency. Infact we don't even know from which country does the Inventor of Bitcoin belongs so It would be harsh to say that due to the inclusion of low income countries we have started receiving less interest in Bitcoin. Moreover who knows the found is from any third world country?

You mean the developing countries? Well, some of them are already adopting cryptocurrency and some of them are on that way so for me the popularity of bitcoin is still the same and way beyond the previous volume. Bitcoin will never lose popularity because cryptocurrency is good for all of us and that is because of bitcoin.

Let's look at the charts of the popularity of bitcoin. The peak of popularity came in 2017 - the beginning of 2018, during the pump.
Most of the new arrivals came to earn money, realizing that it was not possible to earn money already in the first half of 2018, popularity began to fall because these people began to leave the market empty-handed.
But compared to the time before the 2017 pump, the current popularity of Bitcoin is higher, which means it has grown on the contrary.

Bitcoin is always within the reach of everyone. I've just claimed 100 free Sats a minute ago from a gambling faucet.  Grin

I cannot understand why people are complaining of the rising price of Bitcoin when most of them do not even have the guts to buy a nice amount when the price is falling hard. And when the price is high, they are saying that it is too expensive for an ordinary person. Are you guys disciples of Peter Schiff, throwing mud at Bitcoin from all directions after not being able to buy it at a very cheap price?

And what exactly do you mean by "validity in low income countries"? Well, for what it means, Bitcoin does not need validity from any country.

How did you come up with this conclusion? No, Bitcoin isn't getting irrelevant. In fact, more and more people are gaining knowledge of cryptocurrencies by continuous adoption of different institutions and companies. The peak on 2017 was because of the hype, but even if the price and market is low nowadays, it does still strive and isn't going anywhere from what I can tell. In my experience, different apps related to commerce, online shopping, etc have already adopted BTC and it's gradually raising in number.

Popularity wanes over time when not a single exciting thing is happening within the ecosystem. Usually, bitcoin’s popularity soars whenever there’s substantial increase in pricing. At this point all eyes and ears, including the common folk and mainstream media would be pointed towards bitcoin. I understand your sentiment regarding bitcoin’s popularity hitting a plateau, but if you know the cyclical movement of bitcoin (which is still somewhat theoretical), you know that it’ll rise when the price starts rising.

I think Bitcoin will not lose popularity.
This time people is still playing in altcoin. So Bitcoin is moved aside for investment.

We know bitcoin price is get bearish, the price is low but only small people want buy it.
That is because some people wait the price get dip and have correction.

We may not notice is but Bitcoin is still popular until now. It might not be on the mainstream and not making a loud noise, it's actually reaching almost every part of the world. If the price is low, it doesn't mean that people are losing their interest towards it. Bitcoin doesn't have to be loud all the time as long as it's strikes higher each day.

If your comparing price to bitcoin's popularity, you are just incorrect and the only reason why the price might be going down is due to people not wanting to buy Bitcoins, which doesn't relate to popularity.

On the other hand, Bitcoin dominance is at an all time high due to the pretty big companies that are now investing into the currency, and it's more popular then ever before.

no he isnt comparing the price but he is only explain that bitcoin started low and end up high  . price is down not because people dont want to buy btc anymore but because some people are disposing some of thier bitcoins   . in conclusion  , bitcoin itself does not loose its popularity because we can still see that btc is still on the headline's   . btc's value is still high  ,  btc coin market cap is still high and btc is still the main crypto that is being accepted anywhere .

As days pass the bitcoin is gaining more popularity. Confirmation of the same is the increasing acceptance of bitcoin around the globe. Just because of its increased price we can't say bitcoin has lost its popularity. Any level of people can prefer buying as it has the denomination with which we can buy upon necessity. There is no compulsion that you need to buy a complete bitcoin.

If you see bitcoin losing its popularity nowadays then I think you are only looking on a single tree and not on a whole forest.

I suggest spending time researching the progress of bitcoin adoption status in general.

Now its value is beyond the reach of ordinary people.

That's the beauty of BTC. You really don't have to literally buy a whole fraction of it. Don't believe in others that you need to buy the whole of it from the start to feel the profit. Yes, it makes sense but no need to push for that if anyone can't really afford it. Slowly, it can be achieved soon.
