I'm looking at such topics, and I understand that they certainly have a place to be, but until each person decides the rules of the game in the crypt world until he understands what bitcoin is and how his system works, he will continue to protect the old system, years ago ... all were with cash, now in some countries already prohibit the cash turnover of the currency ... Bitcoin will live, it is decantralized

Hi, I have been observing Bitcoin prices as well as the prices of other cryptocurrencies and currently it is on a steady decline. I think Bitcoin is crashing down fast opposite to December 2017 prices. It is expected to dive below $10,000 in a weeks time and I know some people who invested in Bitcoin when it was at $10,000. Is it still advisable to hold on Bitcoin? Not only bitcoin, other cryptocurrencies as well are affected as well. I think this is due to some countries Banning or trying to regulate Bitcoin and Trading of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies! Still would you Sell or Hold into Bitcoin? Thanks for your input.
Up and downs happen in any market including cryptos.  Bitcoin went up so much so fast, it was bound to correct. Bitcoin will go much much higher in the coming months.
But whether to hold or not depends on an individual and his/her circumstances. Otherwise its one of the best investments any one can do.
I totally agree with you, like what they always say, bitcoins price is volatile. And it's not only bitcoin, but even other currencies, like fiat currency, or other products changes rates as day passing by. It goes high and low and we can't really predict when these things are going to happen.
As for me, if either I'll hold or sell my bitcoins, I'll hold them for a while and just hope that the prices goes high again.

I think holding your bitcoins now would be the wisest option. As if you panic sell now you might suffer from a loss. But, if you had invested when bitcoin's value was even lesser than what it was now, and don't want to take even a little bit of risk you can cash out your bitcoins. Bitcoin's value would go up again for sure. This price drops are just temporary and people are going to come back and invest in bitcoin again, so holding would be a good idea.

I don't think BTC will go very low.
If it does go low like it went yesterday it will be again at normal price in few days.

That's just sad seeing and hearing news about countries who banned cryptocurrency exchanges including Bitcoin. But still, it is advisable to hold Bitcoin in my opinion. We should keep in mind that Bitcoin is still not recognized in some countries and in the future, chances are high that it will be and that will be the biggest opportunity for holders. Profit will surely earned in the future and no backdrops will be permanent. So hold for bigger profit.

This is a technical question, Bitcoin is not crashing from my little understanding of what bitcoin and other cryptocurrency are, the reason for the tremendous depreciation of bitcoin is because of the regulation policy in which South Korea is trying to implement. Bitcoin is a digital cryptocurrency on a decentralized system which is very difficult to regulate

Bitcoin crashes can occur during the time period of segwit, and also some countries are going to reorganize the rules and regulation regarding Bitcoin, not only that also sometime Bitcoin will be a scam such as some ICOs,airdrops.

I will definitely hold my bitcoins without a doubt.

There's no need of selling it on this moment as the price is lower than before that I've seen it.

More to gain if I'll stick to my plan of just holding it for few more years.

My personal opinion is to hodl with what you got, and acquire more if possible. BTC will go below $10k, great opportunity to get in cheap. It will rebound like in the past. Of course, depending on your own personal financial position, you make your own decision on what to do with your money.

This advice is good only if the person is a believer in the technology behind BTC. no matter what, for that person, BTC1 will always be BTC1.

Having that said, if a person is only here for fiat gains, then I would advice them to get out and find a more stable investment. There is nothing for them here. BTC hodlers are a different class of investor. The type thats borderline insane lol.

I agree 1 BTC is 1 BTC to those that believe in the technology behind BTC and the financial disruptions that it could bring about. I also agree that those that are here just for the fiat conversion should find other ways to invest. I would think that those that are here are believers in the technology behing BTC, but sadly I know not everyone here on the forums are. Undecided

The "crash" was awesome as I was able to buy at great discounts.. hope it happens again for a couple more months!!!
You are right, prices are falling yesterday like a discount. That's a good time to buy a profitable crypto-currency. Then we just wait until the price goes up and sell it to get profit.
For those who can not understand this situation will underestimate crypto-currency, they just do not know what pattern often occurs after the price reaches its low point. The price will bounce again.

That was a scary moment in cryptocurrencies. All coins were down. I learned from that and gives me a opportunity to buy few bitcoins at lower price.
It was not a crashed it was a results from a manipulation of some whales.

Thanks for your input guys. I'm a late joiner in Bitcoin so I was really hoping the price will drop so I can buy more at a lower price. My friend who invested when the price is at $10,000 was really concern since the price dropped lower yesterday. Glad to know that this happened in the previous years. Holding to my BTC and will try to buy some more if price will dip bellow 10k again. Thanks.

The infamous mid januari dip, 4th year in a row we're seeing this one. We all know what happens after.  Roll Eyes

Yep, year in & out this trend has repeated itself. Quite a popular meme to quote the dreaded January dip on twitter and other social media.
Only those that are new to crypto would be afraid of such dips. 2013 crash survivors have seen $1100 go to $50 overnight.

Weak hands lost money!

If there were some people who listened to our advice yesterday, they would not have lost money today. We have seen this many times before and we are not rattled by this kind of volatility. The speculators might have jumped ship, but the crew is still on board. ^smile^

The shills & trolls also came out in their hoards, to add to the negativity and panic. ^smile^

Remember a crash is really just an upside down boom... I personally love these sales.. I can finally catch up since I started so late. Smiley

That’s the spirit and thinking the positive side than be drowned with those thinking negatively and sell.. This is the one who triumph in the end and makes a lot of profit.. Saw an opportunity in a disaster for others like newbies who panic because of lack in experience or because of fear.. I admire someone with the same altitude at this man,, like in every calamity those who were always ready and keeping calm survive..

For beginners, a sudden dip of bitcoin and other alternate coins that they have in their wallets can push them panic and sell their holdings at a very cheap price which even make the market bleed even more. But that is also a good news since you can buy digital currencies at a lower price and buy them in volume.

Hodl. After a great fall there will always be a great rise and anytime it may also skyrocket. It is normal to experience pumps and dumps because this is really what cryptocurrencies features.
