currently it is on a steady decline.
the "decline" was over at least 12 hours before you created this topic.

It is expected to dive below $10,000 in a weeks time
not really. what was expected for real, was the price to drop near $10,000 and struggle to break the buy support and go below that price. and the expectation was that if it did break it, it only lasts a very short time.

and exactly that happened. price went to $9222 (12 hours before your topic creation, 15 hours by the time i am writing this). and only lasted there a very short time (~2 hours) before it bounced back up.

Is it still advisable to hold on Bitcoin?
there is always a risk involved. if you ask me i say there is a better chance of price rising more from now on than there is a chance of it dropping.

Not only bitcoin, other cryptocurrencies as well are affected as well.
altcoins are very different.

I think this is due to some countries Banning or trying to regulate Bitcoin and Trading of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies!
no it was mainly because of market manipulation and FUD.

Hi, I have been observing Bitcoin prices as well as the prices of other cryptocurrencies and currently it is on a steady decline. I think Bitcoin is crashing down fast opposite to December 2017 prices. It is expected to dive below $10,000 in a weeks time and I know some people who invested in Bitcoin when it was at $10,000. Is it still advisable to hold on Bitcoin? Not only bitcoin, other cryptocurrencies as well are affected as well. I think this is due to some countries Banning or trying to regulate Bitcoin and Trading of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies! Still would you Sell or Hold into Bitcoin? Thanks for your input.

Bro what market are you looking at ? The prices for the bitcoin has risen by 2000 USD since last day. Just check out the coinmarketcap for the value and then you will notice it. So addressing to your confused question I am pretty sure that we should be holding it further and this time it could be upto the year end. If you really want to dive in and earn some huge bucks then this is the time to buy even more bitcoin and get the same feel as we did the last year.:-)

Yes, you are not wrong about this. But we are recovering from the situation so none of it really matters now. :-)

Hold of course. Now that we have tasted how far bitcoin can go, it's an absolute for me to hold on to my BTCs and wait for its rise to glory!

Regulation of cryptocurrencies is one of the best thing that could happen to this market. There are so many scam ICOs and coin circulating that run away with people's money. Regulations will flush such coins from system. Also, regulations will also be sort of approval from government for trading or owning Bitcoins. Bitcoin is cheap right now, so you should hold what you already have and buy more at the bottom price.

I don't know what others are doing but I put in a buy limit order at 8500. If that fills, I'll put another in lower.

I think it's better to be held for sale, because you will lose. See the developments in a few weeks.

keep doing hold if you do not have money, but if you have money, buy BTC now but do not buy Bitconnect

this digital currency storm this time, causing all the coins to bleed.
the worse is Bitconnect, they are now worthless

My personal opinion is to hodl with what you got, and acquire more if possible. BTC will go below $10k, great opportunity to get in cheap. It will rebound like in the past. Of course, depending on your own personal financial position, you make your own decision on what to do with your money.

This advice is good only if the person is a believer in the technology behind BTC. no matter what, for that person, BTC1 will always be BTC1.

Having that said, if a person is only here for fiat gains, then I would advice them to get out and find a more stable investment. There is nothing for them here. BTC hodlers are a different class of investor. The type thats borderline insane lol.

Woah, thanks to yesterday rapid downfall - I managed to catch the "flying dagger" of Bitcoin at $10K (I've been waiting for this moment for over a month...) Maybe Bitcoin will still consolidate until February, but I won't regret to get into the bandwagon on yesterday  Cheesy

Up and downs happen in any market including cryptos.  Bitcoin went up so much so fast, it was bound to correct. Bitcoin will go much much higher in the coming months.
But whether to hold or not depends on an individual and his/her circumstances. Otherwise its one of the best investments any one can do.

This. People forget that bitcoin only breached the $10,000 level in December. As long as it stays above $10,000 we should be celebrating.
