Most governments want to keep control on what's happening in their country, especially when it's financial. Cryptocurrencies are a threat to fiat money, because they are decentralized. If the government does not have any control, they're afraid to lose money in the form of taxes or money laundering. That's why they want regulations, so they can keep an eye on traders and investors.

Bitcoin is dangerous in some ways like the common threat is that most of the illegal sites involves bitcoin in their transactions. This is the reason why some countries have banned bitcoin in the community because they are just trying to protect their citizen regarding these illegal activities and terrorists. Another thing is it can be dangerous in a way that it may attract thieves and it may involve money laundering. Bitcoin itself is safe but the dangerous thing here is it is not used properly in some situations and that makes it dangerous.

Lacking of information and knowledeg regarding Bitcoin is dangerous specially if you are planning to invest here, you should be guided by a person who knows this better and you must help yourself so you can be aware cause if you are not expect to be scammed by the heartless people here which is very common now.

No, I don’t think Bitcoin is dangerous. First of all, there are many fuds going on about some countries banning bitcoin.

And mostly the countries don’t ban bitcoin but are looking to regulate.
Bitcoin itself is not dangerous at all. Users of it took advantage and abuses its power. Bitcoin can be used in terrorism, cybersex, gun for hire, an exchange for drugs and etc. Bitcoin can be dangerous and can be prohibited on any country because of the following reasons.

Governments regulate bitcoin because they are lossing too much. First, they are loosing manpower because people prefer to do bitcoin over joining a regular job. Second, bitcoin is tax free and government cannot impose tax directly to bitcoin. Third, bitcoin has freedom, decentralized and governments always want to be centralized. Last, bitcoin is a threat to them becAuse banks are loosing investors.

Bitcoin is actually not dangerous at all just that some people are using it for things that are frowned upon by the governments, Money laundering, tax evasion and the sponsorship of terrorism are some of the reason why most governments are either regulating or banning bitcoins.

Some people use Bitcoins for illegal activities. But that happens to other forms of payment like PayPal as well.

Bitcoin is very often associated with crime, money laundering, even with the financing of illegal activities. For all these activities it is obviously Bitcoin use.
In contrast to traditional money and cash, however, Bitcoin is not suitable for illicit purposes. All transactions are forever recorded in a blockchaine that anyone can access (e.g., at blockchain.info).
Transactions do not include the name of who sends and receives bitcoins, but it is not hard for practitioners to track true identity.
That is why several alternative cryptocurrencies have emerged, which are much more anonymous.

One more reason is that it would reduce the liquidity of banks. Provided that bitcoin is large enough.

You have your idea but for so many reasons I would say no danger at all. Even the status is flactuated I consider it as a challenge rather than thinking for dangerous. Maybe in other country they prohibited bitcoin but Maybe it is because they do not know the value brings of it.

I think Bitcoin is not dangerous, it's the countries or the governments that make Bitcoin dangerous. These countries are threaten or afraid of Bitcoin because of its natur as decentralized and not able to control by anyone. Also, nobody knows where is the main root of bitcoin and how it can be developed or reproduce. Governments are afraid that it might overtake the market of the whole world.

Financial terrorism and money laundering has been on government radar for a long time. As bitcoins and crypto currencies boom, governments are finding it hard to handle such issues. Hence most government want to ban it. If verification and compliance by its users become effective, it wont be dangerous to government.

I just wanted to mention that the number of countries that really prohibited or banned bitcoin is very, very low.
Most countries do not recognize bitcoin as a legal tender, but that is something completely different. That simply means bitcoin is rated by the officials like a stock, for example.
Owning and trading bitcoin is not restricted in any way if bitcoin is not a legal tender.
