During this time I hold several exchanges, but what I often use is binance and indodax. Because binance is the largest exchange and not easy coins that do not have the potential to be listed on the exchange. I recommend the exchange.
I have never seen much reason to hold more exchanges than just binance, I don’t even have any backup exchange because I know that binance has all that I need from trading volume to low fees and to having the list of coins that is necessary to really make one rich in this cryptocurrency.

Hardly would you see record of shitcoin on binance exchange unlike other exchanges. Binance takes proper record of the type of projects they register which is even stricter now with the introduction of their IEO, which means any coin that wishes to register on binance must be quality project with quality product and outstanding team members.

Using binance will give much better chances to trade good moving coins, as volume and more traders are participating from this exchange, if you wanted to make good trading experience this exchange will be one of those good place for your investment / trading place.

You need to look for an exchange platform with low fees. For example, coindeal has discounts for Segwit users.

Since you didn’t mention what operations you are looking for on the exchange, whether it’s trading or buying, I’d recommend CEX. It’s a universal option because it combines all these functions. You can easily purchase bitcoin with gbp, usd or euro using your credit card - https://cex.io/buy-bitcoins. The exchange provides a calculator, which shows the amount of bitcoin you will get for a certain amount of fiat currency. Likewise, you can easily trade bitcoin with another coin and bitcoin with fiat currencies. Among advantages, it’s an international exchange with a user-friendly interface and strong security. As good alternative options, you can also check Coinbase, Kraken, and Bitstamp.

The best exchange will be different for every trader because it depends on how they can feel comfortable to trade in that exchange. And if one trader says A exchange is the best, it doesn't mean that the other trader will be saying the same thing. I already argue with my friend to select a good exchange, and we have a different reason that says A exchange will be the best exchange.

So perhaps, you can get a list of exchange, and you can try by register first on every exchange but don't deposit. Check on every page they have, and you will see what exchange you want to choose. It's something about how to feeling good on the exchange, and you only need to follow the signs. You need to figure out by yourself to find the best exchange that will work well for yourself.

You can check the list of exchanges in the market - https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/reported/
then you find the feedback on an exchange you feel you like to use.

I suggest use an exchange with a high liquidity as they are surely legit.

What you need to do is to checkout popular exchanges in existence and then check the review of their users to see if the exchange is good to trade with or you need to make use of another exchange, though I personally make use of binance for my trade but I don't just advise people to make use of the platform I am making use of just because I like them, I always like people to make their own research about the project before thinking of using them for trading activities or before investing in them if it's a coin.

There are a lot great exchange that you can use for you to exchange your bitcoin easily, but you should be careful in entering different sites because you might get scam or get hack. In picking the right exchange it must have great security features that can protect all of your assets like Bittreo, the worlds most advance trading platform that can actually help you to easily exchange your fiats or crypto into bitcoin and vice versa. Bittreo has a great features such as data management, real time transaction management, and professional brokerage platform that can actually help you to trading. Bittreo also can offer discounts on our fees for OTC trades such as 20 percent off our OTC fee for the first time a client buys or sells.

I didn't see anyone mentioning CoinDeal, it's a polish cryptocurrency market - that's why as a patriot Grin I gave it a chance. If you are starting with cryptocurrencies, it's friendly for newbies in subject as well. So far it works really nice and it has fancy additional stuff like ability to vote for a new currency.

Not to mention that now CoinDeal offers lower fees on BTC trading: 0.0004 for addresses beginning with bc1... (native segwit, bech32). I would recommend it as well.

Localbitcoins and Paxful are pretty decent options in general except for the occasional complaint here and there. Most of the scamming you find going on with P2P exchange sites like the sites I just mentioned is related to the people themselves and usually involves payment methods that can be reversed like PayPal. There's lots of account selling for Localbitcoins accounts from what I've seen recently, so even a trader with thousands of trades may be attempting to scam, but in general both sites are very good options for buying Bitcoin if you don't want to go through an exchange and all that.

Xchange and Localbitcoins are the best and proven exchangers. I would recommend to always use those services that have already proven themselves in the market.

There are too many complains about this exchange but there are too many good experiences too.

From the looks of it you do not understand much of what you talking about.
Bitcoin
Blockchain
And exchanges are totally different entity

Exchanges is like a market or trading place where coins are dealt with either selling or purchasing.
