I think Bitcoin still has a lot ahead. The bitcoin does not exist for a very long time and has already gained popularity, but for mass adoption it may still take 5 years. It is necessary to be patient.

Bitcoin hasn't failed as a currency. It is a digital currency used in the transactions of goods and services. People are investing into bitcoin because of its increase in price value.

It will (and is) failing because it’s too volatile.

For it to succeed as a “currency” it would have to be stable, so people could advertise goods and services in terms of a stationary bitcoin rate.

While the price is fluctuating in large swings, it’s impossible for bitcoin to be considered a viable currency.

A bet or a high-risk investment perhaps.

in next bull run, btc will get huge attention and transactions. This may lead the tx fee more than 100 dollars,  and this will leads to bad fame and failure.

I am not sure that over time bitcoin can become a currency, because it has a lot of shortcomings. For example, in underdeveloped countries it is very difficult to use bitcoin for payment.

I believe that bitcoin is a new payment system! Now it is not yet adapted to the world economy and less popular in the whole world than ordinary money! but soon everything will change and bitcoin will become legality all over the world and become currency number one!

Yes It can happen, and I believe in the future, and if bitcoin money is already very high in the currency, bitcoin very biggest currency then certainly Bitcoin will be an instrument in the form of currency rather than an investment

Each big currency has it's own long history with ups and downs, and Bitcoin is only in its beginning (comparing to currencies as dollar, euro etc).

because bitcoin is not completely comprehensive, and many countries follow a lot of bitcoin, and only large countries that almost all follow bitcoin, and many people who do not know bitcoin, or bitcoin have not fulfilled the requirements that have been determined by country, bitcoin has not get full permits to be used as a currency, that possibility can prevent bitcoim from becoming a currency.

Bitcoin was supposed to be used as a currency, not only a form of investment. However, it's been more successful as a form of investment, a "speculative asset".

Do you guys think that this can change in the long term ?

I prefer bitcoin as an investment. Bitcoin should remain as a currency or other money flow activity such as paying for public activities, I think it's a waste of time.

Even though bitcoin failed as a currency, but it has succeed become a savings or asset to hold from earlier.
You can see how many peoples got rich because of bitcoin. They didn't use bitcoin as a currency, but as a savings.
I think that it is a fallacy to believe that. If bitcoin eventually fails as currency it will fail as a tool for savings and preserve one's capital in times of crisis, too. Tha basic use case for Bitcoin is the one from Satoshi's white paper: a peer to peer electronic cash system.
Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency that will not be a legal currency like fiats. Many governments of other countries are not supported to bitcoin because it has a lot of bad records in the news like using it for buying and selling of drugs, using it to pay a girl and to do manyu illegal things like money laundering. If this is the case, Bitcoin will never be like fiats. Many people also have no idea about this cryptocurrency.

The most likely outcome is that some people consider a decline in the capitalization of the most popular crypto currency to 15-20% of the entire market and a slight fall in price or a fixation at the current cost level.

Bitcoin will not failed in any aspects on the crypto currency. If these coin failed, why bitcoin will remain on the no. 1 spot in the market cap.

Bitcoin is strong, best community and service in the industry of digital currency.
You are right. Not a failure, but less effective. I think this has to do with bitcoin legal status and every government has its own independent currency.
In my think as a purpose of a currency, I also don't know why from the time and among all this Alts created, there isn't (A crypto-currency directly adossed to Bitcoin). For a purpose of use as a simple currency an alt directly backed to bitcoin to use for that purpose would have facilitate so many problematics

This could happen, and I believe in the future, and if the bitcoin currency already has a very high price definitely bitcoin will be a tool as a currency rather than just an investment.

And i dont think so btc failed as a currency. How could a leading crypto failed if many members and users are still active today. And the price is getting higher and higher.

Considering the bitcoin now as a currency is not yet successful because some people may choose to use the fiat over bitcoin in many reason, like not all stores accept bitcoin, and also the availability of it. But it is successful in the world of investing because they see the potential of it that this will give a big profit in the future.

I think bitcoin has not failed to be a currency, because bitcoin has not been legalized in every country, so holders prefer it for investment. But in the future bitcoin will be accepted by many countries and bitcoin can actually be currency.
