As with the passage of time the digital era is there so that everything is converting to digital So that the currency is also become digital and bitcoin is the digital currency but most of the people hate it because it is decentralized currency and effect the official currency of the state.but its future must be bright and can used as the secondary currency for buying.

We can't say this thing right now because the future are still bright with bitcoin. Yeah, for now a lot of black propaganda just to ruins bitcoin reputation but I still believe in the future of this thing, bitcoin will become a major currency in the future. This is just the beginning.

For me, Its really hard for bitcoin to become a currency because we have so many things to consider prior the implementation and most affected which is hard to approve to become currency is the value of bitcoin as it really affect to world market once the value is dropping.

Bitcoin was supposed to be used as a currency, not only a form of investment. However, it's been more successful as a form of investment, a "speculative asset".

Do you guys think that this can change in the long term ?

I beg to disagree. Bitcoin has been here for years and is still kicking butts. Bitcoin started from zero and will not reach this value if bitcoin failed. Bitcoin didn’t failed. It’s the businesses that failed as they have not accepted bitcoin.

Actually Bitcoin too volatile for real cryptocurrency and there too high fee for transactions and low speed of transactions in blockchain. Of course these are great problems for a currency. That's why I think now Bitcoin is just great asset with high liquidity and rentability.
I think that it is very difficult to bitcoin into currency, because the price is unstable. only, it makes bitcoin very suitable for investment tool. even so, bitcoin is also still often used as a medium of exchange and of course it is very profitable.

Bitcoin is now used as an investment and not a method of payment, but I think this will change in the future. Some popular online shops accept payment in bitcoins, I think with time there will be more such stores.

I think bitcoin is not a failure as currency. It's too early to say that bitcoin is for investment only and a speculative asset.

But bitcoin doesn't failed as an investment. Many peoples have gained their profit just only from holding bitcoin for a long term.
becoming a currency that used by everyone is a hard goal because there are many cryptocurrency than bitcoin, there are altcoins as well.

1st things 1st , bitcoin ain't a currency . It needs to be regulated by a government and backed by a safe heaven asset (silver/gold .. ) to be considered as a currency , and of course to be accepted as a payment method by everyone and every bank . In addition , neither one of bitcoin and the blockchain technology are considered as fully mature so we ain't even close from calling bitcoin or any other cryptos a currency, at least from a certain approach .
I do prefer to call cryptos as an investment or a future currency project , because they are the currencies of the future for sure Wink , we just need to control the fluctuations a bit to gain more credibility and trust from the people who are still hesitant and we'll be good to go.

The title really bothered me because the bitcoin did not fail to become a crypto currency, but bitcoin was what made the crypto currency very famous as it is today.

I think there are still many things and the process is still long, as we know that nowadays more and more countries are legalizing bitcoin so I'm pretty sure that someday bitcoin can be used for currency.

I think no because bitcoin is used for online transaction and the price of bitcoin is not stable, but if bitcoin become stable maybe it might be possible that bitcoin will become currency, but for now, there's no chance that bitcoin will be used as currency.

The other reason every country have their own currency so where do you think the country of bitcoin?

Bitcoin is decentralized and we couldn't just credit it to China or other countries as their currency.

Its a currency since the start and launch of bitcoin but people change how they interact with bitcoin and think it can bring them fortune.
that's why they think it is a very valuable investment or what people call now a speculative investment. And you are correct about the decentralized feature of it makes it hard for many government and country to accept its nature as currency because no one can control
the bitcoin system.

You can not just take on the basis of the fact that the currency has such a value or collapsed compared to the months before. Everyone has ups and downs. And while bitcoin the main crypto currency worth more than 7000 dollars)))

This is just the beginning for Bitcoin and it has not been known by all the people of the world so it has not really been recognized as a currecy in all countries. But of course I'm one of those who believe that the day will come that Bitcoin will identify by many people and as a currency. Not now because Bitcoin is Volatile and it's not yet right to be a currency to use in multiple transactions.

this is actually pretty correct. But we need to start somewhere and I believe that before people will start using bitcoin as currency in the first place, volatility won't stop.
