for me the vision of bitcoin is to become the world's currency, but 21 million bitcoin is not enough for the whole world.bitcoin has failed with its primary purpose,There is actually no better alternative to that. Commission is still high for little sums, but you'll have that in the bank too.

I think bitcoin has done great since coming into the system. As investment, I think it has stood out as one of the most important currencies the world has ever seen. As currency, bitcoin has not achieved much simply because most governments are not allowing it. I believe that in some time to come when governments accept it, it will do great as a currency.

Its true that as investment, bitcoin can give profits more than others investment instrument. I think to make bitcoin as currency is just need regulation from government and central banks

If bitcoin will continue to lead among other cryptocurrency, then it will always be an investment tool. As a means of payment, people will use less liquid cryptocurrencies.

I don't think so, because many people still using bitcoin as cryptocurrency. bitcoin turns into an investment place because it has no rules and standard price.

If bitcoin becomes stable the possibility of bitcoin will be the currency in a country, but for now, there is no bitcoin to be used as the currency of a country because each country has its own currency.

Bitcoin was supposed to be used as a currency, not only a form of investment. However, it's been more successful as a form of investment, a "speculative asset".

Do you guys think that this can change in the long term ?

I think that it will be mainly be used as investment purpose only as the price is highly fluctuating and its distribution is limited just like gold and silver

that's why many altcoin develops coins into currencies but in the end they fail and will only remain an asset even if new coin and used only certain in own platforms but it will still be difficult to change statements if the crypto currency is an asset as well as Bitcoin

I think bitcoins will never be used as a currency fit for daily use. I highly doubt it because bitcoins have a small supply and bitcoins is too much of a value to be used by everyone. Not everyone has a computer even a stable internet connection to use bitcoins. We have a long way to go to use bitcoins as a daily currency.

Bitcoin has came a long way from being a virtual currency and now to be seem as a form of an investment from my own opinion Bitcoin has failed as currency and I don't see it as a future currency. I don't think Bitcoin will change in the long term but if it could that would be great! Grin

The title really bothered me because the bitcoin did not fail to become a crypto currency, but bitcoin was what made the crypto currency very famous as it is today.

well i think no because bitcoin is used for online transaction and the price of bitcoin is not stable, but if bitcoin become stable maybe it might be possible that bitcoin will become currency, but for now, there's no chance that bitcoin will be used as currency, bitcoin is made to become a currency and it will always be. Many people used it as a form of investment, trading center, form of payment and especially it is also serves as another source of income for those people who already had a job

I think bitcoin has not failed as a currency because it still needs a process so that the whole world can accept the sale and purchase of bitcoin. This takes a long process but there is still a possibility that we can not see in the future and will certainly come true. It does not matter if it fails as a currency but works as a digital currency that can be invested.

No I do not think that it is more successful as investment and not successful as currency. If we look then we will find that bitcoin is much successful as a currency as the users of it are using this currency without any disturbance and they can pay with them whenever they want to pay and the business owners are accepting it without rejection of that. While the traders are having many issues as when the market go down then they are much worried aboyt it and sometimes they win and sometimes they lose when the price go down and they sell at that point.

To be said as an international currency, Bitcoin can not be used as a currency on the grounds that many countries have not been able to receive Bitcoin as a legitimate transaction tool. But in his own world, the digital world, Bitcoin has actually become a currency. In fact, today many online companies can accept payments using Bitcoin. In fact, with its popularity, Bitcoin is able to become a parent and be used as a benchmark for other digital currencies. In fiat currency, it can be said Bitcoin is equal to dollar.

traditional terminology, bitcoin can not be legitimately considered a currency because it does not meet its two main characteristics: it is neither a means of exchange nor a means of accumulation.

And that if the world changes, it will change radically. Many industries are moving towards globalization ... What if the world order changes? What place does bitcoin play in this?
