250 airlines? That is a pretty big number.

Anyone here already using bitcoin for flight tickets?

On my state , Indonesia , still not implement that yet.
But I'm waiting for it cause using bitcoin as the payment will speed up my transaction.

that is right. we do not have any flight accepting bitcoin as payment yet here. I think it will take so long to wait until we can pay flight tickets for bitcoin. because it is not famous yet here. and there are so many people who do not know bitcoin

This title made me curious and I just found out I can buy flight tickets with Bitcoin in my country too, this is amazing! The more services that accept them, the better! Only if Bitcoin was featured on these websites, so we could see which accept it. Who knows how many hidden ones there are around??

i had bookmarked this post, i came back to see if it's still possible to buy travel tickets through bitnet.

http://bitforum.info still does exist but bitnet was bought up by uphold : "Welcome to Uphold. The Internet of Money. Uphold enables anyone, anywhere to move, hold, convert and transact in any form of money or commodity instantly and securely. Launched in November 2014,..."

it is technically possible to build a website that allows to buy anonymously with bitcoins from any e-commerce website that exists, does it exist ?

I think that you can buy flight tickets through cheapair as I have personally used them, and my experience had been good with them.
I don't understand that how you can buy flight tickets "anonymously" through any websites, as you are needed to show your passport when boarding.
Correct me if I said something wrong.

Sure it would be cool on using bitcoin in buying my flight tickets, but it aint possible yet and it is not cheap compared to using credit card from my point of origin. Will be waiting more for that to happen as more mass adoption of BTC takes place.

I will bookmark this thread to come back if I need a plane ticket and I can't pay easily otherwise.

Oh right because the lack of payment methods at the moment are going to make that difficult to pay for the tickets  Cheesy
