Bitcoin is the currency that has excellent prospects for growth, improve, every day in the world, more people are introduced to Bitcoin and earn money from it.
I think that bitcoin will not be a currency of future, its just the base of future currencies.
I am very enthusiastic with this digital alternate economy, and I have no doubt that it will be crucial in the future of global economy, but I am not so sure about the role of our current bitcoin in that future, because it seems clear that digital technologies will continue improving for long, and perhaps in twenty years our current altcoins will be considered as the rudimentary beginnings of the future altcoins.

i see in 2017, many people will be realize that bitcoin is have a bright future and will have a chance to be a good and solid digital currency and can be used for long term investment. with the price now that slowly but sure will be increase, i think people will be thinking that its the best chance for them to buy and use bitcoin and hold it for a while.
The biggest problem is not enough merchants. I know its a slow process but its what we need most.
This has been the problem of bitcoin for years now since bitcoin was predicted to be one of the strongest cryptocurrencies. And as I can see that bitcoin users are trying very hard to bring bitcoin into real life by opening coffee shops, stores that accept bitcoin. So no need to worry about this issue, I think the one you should look into that is the way people react to bitcoin. This has been worsened because the media keep giving negative news about bitcoin so people tend to stay away from bitcoin, and this is a difficult problem to solve

i think that bitcoin is going to replace all worlds money because the technology is really great and it is impossible for governments to have impact on bitcoins also its impossible to hack this technology
I think there's a potential bright future. I don't think it's going to be replacing other money anywhere near our lifetimes. Governments could do plenty to strangle it if they chose to. Right now all they have to do is shut down all the exchanges and it's pretty much good night. A small hard core of Bitcoin only commerce might remain but most users and almost all businesses would fall away.
Yeah, bitcoin has great opportunity in the future imho since it's already going through all the time until now and proven as reliable digital currency that has higher price than any other. I agree with you, bitcoin won't replace all worlds money instead along with others currencies side by side but more advantages for bitcoin users of course.

Bitcoin could be one of worldwide currency along with fiat. Bitcoin is growing everyday, bitcoin is getting more known and more people start to use bitcoin. Therefore, bitcoin has back up to stand strong, and it will make bitcoin huge in future.
Some of the people don't even know what bitcoin is so we can never be sure about its future but my opinion is that bitcoin won't go that far , i don't think that governments are going to agree that people to use something that they can't control and most defiantly they won't agree on that because that way china will become the most powerful country since it owns more than half of the bitcoin market
i do not understand how you say, that one can not control bitcoin and then you write in the same sentence that china owns more then half the bitcoin, which makes china powerful. where is the logic in that?

This will be made possible by upgrades of bitcoin. They say Segwit will open bitcoin to future upgrade such as lightning network where transaction can be confirmed faster. But there is several argument about LN fees. They say you need to pay for using it, pay while using it and pay if you terminate it prematurely. Seems too much payment for me lol. Anyway if that is true that LN will make fee more expensive then, I think even with there is lots of merchant adopting bitcoin , due to its high transaction fee, people will evade using bitcoin.
