Will the bitcoin price decline after bitcoin gold?
I read that many now will continue to sell bitcoin and buy altcoins.
Should I buy bitcoin now or wait?

After the bitcoin gold fork there was a slight drop on the price of bitcoin, from $5900 to $5400 but as of now 2 days after the fork prices are ranging from $5800 - $5900 again. So it is safe to say that BTG somehow affected bitcoin's price because the people who hoarded bitcoin to get their BTG tried released it at the same time after the fork but the market is stabilizing at a higher price now.

Can someone please explain to me Bitcoin Gold? I remember the Bitcoin Cash fork and hearing of lots of people that were scammed and lost all of their bitcoin due to bad wallets and phishing scams - or simply being careless with their private keys/

I guess that this situation is the same and that we should be very careful. Is it actually worth anything?

introduction of bitcoin gold lead a market to drop a little, but i think as events in past bitcoin gold will not replace bitcoin and instead will become a new kind of bitcoin observing from previous forks and their results and hence eventually bitcoin will start gaining its price, and yes it will be there its more trust worthy now because of its such long term usage than other coins.

Its upto you where you want to buying bitcoins, if you think that its the best price you can get for buying bitcoins then you should buy bitcoins right now and if not then you should wait more as I also think that bitcoin price is gonna fall in the coming month but it's just a speculation made by me, you should do research and then make decisions based on the research. Also most people here don't know what they are talking about, they just post because they are getting paid for it, so there are slight chances for you to find something useful here.

Don't worry about bitcoin gold, it won't that much of an impact in btc as you may think. The price will go up/down (no one can be sure) no matter what happens with these forks.
The trend of selling btc to buy alt coin will continue for a long time.
You should always buy bitcoin, it's never too late to do so. But it is true what other users have said, you missed the oportunity to buy cheap, last week the price was around 5200$, and now we're about reach 6000$, so if you're going to buy, don't hesitate and do it, otherwise you might wake up one day and the price is going to be 7000$.

I think you have missed the opportunity to buy bitcoin when the price is low around $5200-$5300 just right after the hard fork. The price is going up again and moving to $5700. The selling of bitcoin cash and the subsequent shifting back to altcoins is over I think. Because bitcoin is now back to $5700 and altcoins are all going green now. But if you really do not want to missed the boat again, I will advise you to buy bitcoin today, specially if you are really on it for the long haul. And then once their is a price correction, you can buy more bitcoins for yourself. At least your in a good position to really gain returns when bitcoin price goes to $6000-$7000 before the end of the year. And if the price didn't reach that but instead experienced dip, then your strategy is to buy more. So its a win-win situation for you.

We are at around $5950 now, it's going to break out upwards if my analysis is correct, I see an ascending triangle.

The speculation with the fork is over, the dip already happened, now I see us hitting a new all time high before November 19th when the segwit2x hardfork will happen.

Once the segwit2x scam is defeated, after a dip, we will go towards $8000, we could even hit $10000 by christmas, depending on how much damage Jeff Garzik and the rest of idiots behind segwit2x cause to the price.

I believe that once bitcoin gold trading comes out to the major exchanges( right now you can only trade future contracts on bitcoin gold).
People will sell their bitcoin gold to buy legacy chain bitcoin , which will make the price of bitcoin to go higher, that's why I believe that buying bitcoin before the forked token goes out on exchanges could be a great decision.

bitcoin gold is a joke dude. Don't think serious things about gitcoin gold.
Its just started to fall and will fall until it hit 1 satoshi.

I'm not sure whether it's a joke or something a serious issue, but bitcoin gold fork hasn't made a big change over the bitcoin. Even in the past during the bitcoin cash it made a big marginal change in the value of bitcoin. It's expected for a price decrease and now the same has started to grow big in value.

The possibility of bitcoin price will decrease after bitcoin gold appears if you want to buy bitcoin not now because you will incur a loss so I suggest to buy altcoin and wait for the price back to normal and increase (only suggestion)

Yes that is the scenario i've see since many bitcoin gold holders are start to dump there coin and change it with fiat and same goes with the bitcoins since those past holders will sell there hodl share since the Fork hype is done and some of them earned some good profits already. And most likely this is the day for the alts to became more alive since the traders will came back to trade good with crypto's.

Possibly that part of people who bought BTC to get BTCGPU during the fork now will sell it to buy other alts. But also possible that somebody will be waiting for more price than now Smiley Anyway its true - it`s high volatile and not predictable...

Bitcoin gold is inconsequential. The current alts bounce back and btc retrace is more likely because of chinese reopening exchanges.

It's impossible to know what the value of bitcoin will do. The crypto market in incredibly volatile. There is no telling how far it will drop and getting the timing perfect is nearly impossible. You just have to consider the time frame. If you believe that btc is going to be worth more in two years then it is now, which I do, then go ahead and buy during this dip. If you're going to need the money you're investing in btc in the short term, then don't do it. Any btc you buy today will go up and down in value dramatically. You will see it loose hundreds of dollars worth of value in a few hours, and also gain that much in as short a time. The question is whether you think that the technology btc represents is going to grow in uptake and transform the way that the global economy is oranised. If you do, then it doesn't really matter what price it is today since it will be worth much more down the road.
