Polo adds a few very good fundamentally projects. BTG is not a suitable. In addition, fuss with Circle. I wouldn't expect in the near future

They'll keep it unless enough pressure is brought to bare on them - so unless US authorities heavy them, someone sues them, or there's such a big public outcry, they will keep our BTG. It's nothing personal guys, it's just that they want that money for themselves.

Legally, they haven't got a leg to stand on, but hey, what do minor details like, "unconscionable conduct", or "unjust enrichment", or "holding funds as a fiduciary" matter?

Easy solution - hold Bitcoin on Bittrex not Poloniex if you must hold on an exchange - they've never pulled a fast one with any forks I can remember.

they must give our btg cause of their delay of verification people couldnt withdraw all and get their btg, this is unfair so they have to give btg and very fast or might meet class actions

Jaxx wallet will support BTCgold?

Probably, eventually - it took them like 2 months or even more to get BCH implemented, I got fed up and got my BCH from coinomi with private keys. Bunch of slowass wankers of there in Jaxx.

Poloniex did honor BCH. If you had btc in polo you got the exact same bch few days after the fork.

Can't say i did, didn't get any BCH for my BTC i had in polo.

so what is poloniex waiting for making a statement about btg, i wanna know when I get my btg

were ever your coins is before the hardfork you are going to have the same unit of bitcoin gold as this scenario repeated itself during last time of bitcoin Cash splitting. Poloniex did not said they are going to support bitcoin Cash but at the end there went ahead and support it and I benefited from this splitting with some free bitcoin Cash coins and I seriously believe that poloniex is going to support bitcoin gold and if you live your coins there you are going to get your own share of the splitting coin.

Bittrex offers ZERO support for BTG at this time.

They apparently plan to change that once a viable BTG wallet finally shows up.

It is too late to move BTC - the "snapshot" was October 23.

does anyone know if it still counts if i have my bitcoins on my margin account as collateral on poloniex?

if i have x btc on margin do i get x btg as well (assuming they list it)?

i mean i am in posession of the bitcoins. they are just not on my exchange account but on the margin account instead.

No. You only temporarily possess but not own them, so the BTG should and will instead go the money's real owner who lend that BTC to you in the first place.
you misunderstood me

i am not talking about lended btc. im talking about my own margin account balance that i need to have to even begin margin trading.

so i transferred bitcoins from my exchange account to my margin account. those bitcoins now serve as collateral in case of a loss.

my question is if i need to put them back on my exchang account.

Right after posting that comment, I searched the web and realized I was totally wrong, anyway. This makes sense:

What if I have my Bitcoin on loan at the time of the fork?
If you have Bitcoin on loan at the time of the fork, you do not have it on balance and therefore you cannot receive corresponding Bitcoin Unlimited.

Why not?
When someone borrows coins, they typically borrow them to sell immediately on the spot market to counterparties who cannot possibly be aware that the coins they bought came from someone who borrowed them. Spot traders unambiguously own their purchases, and are the rightful recipients of the coins on the new chain and they can do with them what they like, whether that is selling them to others or taking them off of the platform entirely.
