EWBF’s NVidia CUDA Zcash miner what kind of gfx card is this supposed to be?

Is this just a nvidia 1070 / 1080? or some exclusive Gfx card?

EWBF works with any NVidia 10xx series card and I believe also works with all the 9xx series cards and the 750 ti (Pascal and Maxwell generations).

CUDA has been supported by ALL Nvidia cards (in some form) for quite a few years now.

GPU mining for CPU It seems expensive. In addition, the use of electricity is great.

I once got the information that there are mining tools like usb. the price is relatively cheap. and can be used on laptops or cpu that perform low.
is this real ?

GPU is still the winner here don't fool yourself.
But you can play with other stuff.

I suspect this might be a silly/newb question, but I'll ask anyway.

Mining BTG with my GPU, and in the space of 5 minutes, the hash rate reported by ZecMiner dropped by about 25%. Is there something external that causes this to happen, e.g. difficulty adjustment, or do I have a problem with my miner?

Sorry in advance if thet question has allready been answered someone else on the forum.

Question:

Im owning a Nvidia geforce 680 GTX still Tongue
Guessing that one will not do the job for gpu mining.

What is the minimum needed equipment to mine  BTG / alt coin.

- What card would be needed for GPU mining?
- What CPU is needed for CPU mining?
- Power supply
- Ram

Just Minimum's requirements first please.
and what would be the most important factor.

Bitcoin Gold uses the same algorithm as ZCash (Equihash) so any ZCash Mining Guide should get you started.

As for a pool to mine on, https://poolmining.org/pool/btg is now open for business.

I'm mining with a rx 580 8gb right now. I'm getting 292H/s with default specs, intensity = 9.

I'm looking for some config tweeks to lower power consumption and heat while increasing power, ideally.

They say AMD RX580 8GB does not show great productivity in mining, and some users say that when you stay active constantly, it starts to hang. If you have Bitcoins in your wallet, on Novembet 1 you will get BTG free.

Now people’s prognoses about Bitcoin Gold cost differ — guys suppose various information, from $140 for BTG to $380 for BTG. When the initial price will be known, we will learn all the details about miming of this crypto.

If you HAD bitcoins on selected block snapshot. The price is low and expect it to be lower when BTG is distributed.

Algorithm was announced as Ethash (same as ZEC/ZEN/etc)

I think you have misprinted. Algorithm was announced as Equihash

Yep, that was a mistype, I meant Equihash.

But, according to btcgpu.org Bitcoin Gold is for GPU miners.  Grin and that can really mine a lot of money using GPU's right?
How much money they can make with AMD RX580 8GB? Seems like a noob type question but really interested to know...  Roll Eyes
I think that the yield has fallen sharply compared to last year.

Coin didn't exist last year. Or last month. Or TODAY yet.

No way the yield can have dropped.

@dstm, another interesting thing happened. Miner died after roughly 5 minutes of mining right after setting difficulties . Once I restarted the system it worked like a charm once again. This hasn't happened yet.

Hi There, I'm not that expert in mining or not related to as I don't have that much money to buy powerful ASIC machines to mine bitcoins...

Yes, Bitcoin Gold is said to be GPU mine-able, although, its poor development hasn't informed the public for any useful information yet. The Algorithm will supposedly be Equihash, which is great news, you can even mine with older cards (With lower ram memory). However, we will have to wait for more information to be published within the next few weeks.

Therefore, nvidia graphics will be preferred? Which algo is expected?
Nvidia will be more profitable (but they are more expensive), algo will be the same of Zcash that is Equihash.
To say the truth I don't expect much profit from BTG mining. I think it would be great if it were possible to dual mine ETH and BTG Cheesy

It will be much easier than it was with zcash. Pool-algo-miner infrastructure for equilhash already done, we need just adapt

no testnet yet?? and launching in 3 days??

shaddy at least...  Huh

smells scammy Wink
