everyone here just has different assumptions, but is it wrong? it is not wrong because after all no one is able to do the speculation themselves.
see what happened to the BCC only a temporary increase and now the price is stable after a hard fork and bitcoin gold will experience the same thing.

What do you guys think the price will be? Its name suggests that it will be expensive, yet its mining is GPU, so I expect it to be way cheaper than BTC itself.
I am not sure if it will be around the ETH price though. Some suggest that it will start off around 50 USD due to people selling as soon as they get it, but I am not sure.
Opinions, please?

i say it wont be more than 100$ Cheesy
I think that people/exchanges are getting tired of these fork coins, each claiming to be the real Bitcoin or better Bitcoin
I dont even know whats "better" anymore, im just sticking with the main chain Cheesy

At least $100, that would put it at 1/60th the price of Bitcoin, and honestly I don't see Bitcoin Gold going anywhere. Unlike Bitcoin Cash it seems like everyone universally sees Bitcoin Gold as something to throw away as soon as they get it. This also means that it won't hold value for long so it's probably good to cash out ASAP once airdropped.

It is insane to speculate about the price of it because we dont know anything about this coin,  but we know that it is going to be listed on Poloniex and Bittrex, and a lot of people will be using them for trading and for speculating purposes just like it happened with bch, a lot of people were buying only to sell when the price reached x2 since it was listed. But not more than $150, and this is expensive enough, nobody would believe in another coin borned from a fork.

the rise of bitcoin is the only reason, BTC gold. changed to BTC investors, a large part of assets. price yet unknown. BTC will be in cash. a few days in high volumes fluctuates.  Shocked Shocked

Bitcoin gold's price willl be higher than bitcoin cash's price. I am somehow sure about that but you cannot know it. Some says it is going to be dumped hard.
Even the fact bitcoin cash doesn't keep some coins to the developer like what already did by bitcoin gold. 1 bitcoin equal with 11 btg and the price will be 11x lower than bitcoin cash and that will touch only double digit.

of course, nobody knows how much will it be worth since we dont have any guide or something that can tell us the price that it will have, the same happened with bitcoincash, nobody knew that the price was going to be more than $400 after it got listed. but it depends, btg will probably be worth less than $250 each one, i dont think that it will be much more than that, since we all know that this is just a forked coin, and it is not a profitable thing.

Ethereum price is at the level it is, because of the difficulty also. I think the same thing will happen with bitcoin gold. The price will adjust depending on how many miners will adapt it.

~$100 tops. No one cares for it, no one asked for it. Plus the implementation is the worst.

It can rise with the hype in first days after the fork, but high prices won't last for long. I believe the price will pump and dump just like BCH but will trade for less than BCH and will not pump to 1200 like BCH did.
My prediction is $200 to $500 in the first week.

I do not think it will be as profitable as Bitcoin cash. I do not expect big values, but we will see soon Smiley

While nobody can be sure, I have a feeling that most people will just end up dumping their Bitcoin Gold, and then it’ll end up at about 3/5 of the price of Bitcoin Cash.

Will be around ETH's price? I don't think so, we just have to wait on that day before speculating because we don't have an idea on how much bitcoin gold is right now.

Just like bitcoin cash I'm expecting that it's just a trash after the hard fork but look on how enormous the trades are and later on the price was quite stable after a month.

And this can be possible with bitcoin gold, just wait for it, we are near on that day so let's be patient and see it personally.

The name says nothing, it could be Bitcoin Diamond and the price be $1... I don't expect too much from this new currency, I think it can compete with Bitcoin Cash to see what is the best between them. As on the last hard fork I expect to see a initial bump, giving a chance to sell fast and right after a dump until the price stabilizes. Anyway, it's just a personal opinion and I will follow this trying to sell Bitcoin Gold faster as possible.

We can only assume what the price will be but that is not the point of bitcoin gold, his creator has stated that he wants to give power back to home users as anyone with a good graphic card or good processor can mine the equihash algorithm where bitcoin gold is based. The creator of bitcoin gold thinks that this is needed in order to achieve greater decentralization because the bitcoin is being monopolized by Chinese ASIC farms.

You can't say what will be the price of something that doesnt exist still! Well, it could start as BCH started and then decrease, because people will start dumping it as soon as possible! Unless the price is already pumped up and starts ahead of $1000 then users might think of holding it and using it with trading profit!
