Not really. There are so many new altcoins that is growimg so fast in the market. Maybe bitcoin is still the leader of coins, but it is notbl true that there is noone who wants to topple it.

If that is so then let's consider the rate of consaction on bitcoin network as compared to ethereum blockchain. Crypto is not a matter of competition, Bitcoin is on top, its still leading coin in the market and it doesn't need to compete to earn its value because it is in demand now. All coins can be traded with it. In one sense it is a mode of payment for buying crypto.
Bitcoin has no competition because it has no practical application and it is used only for speculation. I think this is a questionable advantage of bitcoin.

Of course there are a lot of altcoins. And some of them are very worthy. But, even despite the shortcomings of bitcoin, none of altcoins is ready for a worthy competition so far. Even based on the volume of capitalization and investor confidence. Perhaps in the future one of the altcoin will make a jerk, or there will be a new one that can solve the bitcoin blocks problem.
No competition as at now thinking they will be in future when one developer too will come up with something good and different from btc.
