I don't think so. Nowadays there are some cryptos that can compete with bitcoin. In dew time that crypto will overtake bitcoin as being the no.1 crypto in the market.
There is always a competition in the market and all cryptocurrencies but for me I think wether there are lots of competition there will be no altcoins that can beat bitcoin now.

I agree, Bitcoins have no real competition, as the real king of crypto. But Bitcoins has left more than 50 % of crypto market open for the thousands of Altcoins, where a lot of them have real use case.
All the Altcoins are listed in Bitcoins, which just make Bitcoins more rare and something every crypto holder, want some of.

OHH SUREEE!!! Bitcoin is the altimate of all the cryptocurrencies. I do not believe that any altcoin can compete and overtake bitcoin in the crypto market. BiTCOIN is the pioneer and the best of ll the other coins.

I fully agree with you. Bitcoin was created first and is the main coin, the rest only followed. Bitcoin will always remain a leader, he fully deserves it. Its technology is unique.
Alts to me is a simple way to multiply my bitcoins.

No doubt anyone would agree by considering the price, demand, accessibility, usability and many other benefits it has provided and it is growing all over the world rapidly facing every problem that the rest of the world makes against Bitcoin so no competition for Bitcoin and will consider as the king forever in the crypto world no doubt about it
I also think like you. No Altcoins are comparable to bitcoins. I believe that the next 15 years may be bitcoin will dominate cryptoworld, that is what bitcoin deserve.
There is no competition for it. Mostly because it is first coin. And it is most popular because of it. But there will be competition for it, I am sure. Even some token with good real life use could become competition.
For now I can say yes that bitcoin doesn't have a competitor yet. So many dev already try to create a better cryptocurrency and yes the success.but still bitcoin is the leader in the market. All altcoin still following bitcoin price, also with the trader.

There are many cryptocurrencies out there like bitcoin but I don't think that you can call it competition cause it's obviously clear that bitcoin is standing out among them. And many altcoins depends/based in bitcoin that's why bitcoin is like the Father among them Grin

Well, a lot of people said that even popular developers but nothing succeeded. I think Bitcoin will be staying on the top until the end of the time since Bitcoin is the first and the most popular of them all. It is been 10 years since Bitcoin is used but nothing can surpass it in terms of it's value. In terms of it's efficiency, to be honest there are a lot of other crypto currencies that is better but not as overvalued as Bitcoin.

if we compare only in terms of value, then I agree, if we talk as a platform, then I think that there are much more innovative projects to which bitcoin will give way, but bitcoin is the founder of all the crypto currency.
It amazes me how bitcoin is able to stand firm for 10 years and not be overcome to buy any cryptocurrency that were developed after him, yet we're having many project who claims to be a competitor to Bitcoin.
All those FUDsters that where saying year ago how Bitcoin would fail because another currency would take over get proven wrong year after year. The more time Bticoin is alive, the stronger it gets and the bigger the network effect. Sorry but there will not be a Bitcoin 2.0. Bitcoin will go to 100k+ per coin in the next 5 to 10 years, it will absorb all the value researched in the field if not directly through protocol improvements then through sidechains.

There will be alts that pump really hard and make people millionaires, but no alt is going to surpass Bitcoin's strength and solidity. No coin will get a bigger marketcap. In the long term people holding 21+ BTC will be rewarded by history with rich-tier status for seeing the value in it before most people did. Do not let the FUDsters trick your mind or the trolls try to derrail the excellent job being done by Core devs.
