All those FUDsters that where saying year ago how Bitcoin would fail because another currency would take over get proven wrong year after year. The more time Bticoin is alive, the stronger it gets and the bigger the network effect. Sorry but there will not be a Bitcoin 2.0. Bitcoin will go to 100k+ per coin in the next 5 to 10 years, it will absorb all the value researched in the field if not directly through protocol improvements then through sidechains.

Bitcoin will remain the only solid coin. The only coin that survived for the longest time (other coins can't claim this unless they invent a time machine).
There will be alts that pump really hard and make people millionaires, but no alt is going to surpass Bitcoin's strength and solidity. No coin will get a bigger marketcap. In the long term people holding 21+ BTC will be rewarded by history with rich-tier status for seeing the value in it before most people did. Do not let the FUDsters trick your mind or the trolls try to derrail the excellent job being done by Core devs.

Let's continue then our path towards inevitable triumph.

It's nice reading discussions like this one from the past years up to present. I can tell how Bitcoin evolves in the mind of holders. There were doubts before and when 2017 hits people are changing their thought about it. Fudsters/FUDers are always there, that feeling of missing out won't dissolve as long as there is Bitcoin. And at this times where Bitcoin is ranging from 19k back to 6k, holders are in a tight grip. And your words are also my thought in this year of 2018. Bitcoin will remain as the king of all the crypto. You can observe that once the price of BTC went down, all other cryptos or mostly are also down. They depend on their king's status. No one, so far, surpasses their king. So for now, and for the years ahead, Bitcoin has no competition.

Bitcoin has stayed on number one since its inception amidst the several alt coins being minted each and every day. It appears Bitcoin has no competitor but that is not the case. Bitcoin has a direct competitor on the market which is Ethereum. Anyway, it will take an incredible technology induction to the Ethereum Blockchain in order to surpass Bitcoin.

I am totally agree with you. Bitcoin is a first introduced digital crypto currency based on modern technology. It has been getting more popular day by day. It has also great influence over crypto industry. It will not be so easy for other currency to take the position of the crypto currency. Because people do not think this platform without bitcoin. But our world is full of competition. Every thing is competing with each other for its existence. So, in long run other currency may take the position of bitcoin. But it will be so difficult for that coin.

Bitcoin does have competitors but they are far behind in the mass adoption department.  Technology wise, there are many projects that blow Bitcoin out of the water but it takes much more than that to dethrone the king.  I think Bitcoin will always remain as the cryptocurrency of choice.

I agree with many of this. Bitcoin has survived and i’m sure it’ll remain strong from now on, too. And i also think that btc has no competition, yes. It’s just time to be patient and wait. “Trust” is very important for crypto market, people trust bitcoin and support it. I’m sure the future will be bright.

I can definitely say that truly, bitcoin has no competition. In spite of falling from its previous value, no other token can reach bitcoin's undefeatable rank. After how many years of struggle from the market, bitcoin still stand in its position without letting other coins rise over it.

Indeed, that there are other token existing which also runs in a good race and rising in the market, well that's good and I am not against about it. However, I still love to tell that bitcoin defend itself for staying on its rank as the highest among others. And no hesitations added.

Being the pioneer of the crypto currency industry, bitcoin ideally shouldn't have any competition.Bitcoin has more potential than anyone can think of. We cannot judge it yet.

I believe that too no other crypto currency can replaced bitcoin in whatever form due to the fact that bitcoin has survived through ups and down and at the present moment bitcoin has been able to survive all the attacks it faced and come out strong, except for token that perform utility functions which bitcoin is not design to can function where bitcoin con not if not bitcoin remains the overall cryptocurrency.

For me, bitcoin is indispensable, I use only the other coins as a bait to buy a
Bitcoin. Now it is possible that bad times are for Bitcoin, but at the same time it's the best.

There are innumerable altcoins, hundreds or even thousands of altcoins. if no one is able to pair with bitcoin, then is bitcoin as good as it is? But at least Ethereum deserves consideration to sit parallel to bitcoin. Ethereum will slowly approach the bitcoin position, so do not assume that bitcoin is everything. Ethereum will someday be able to defeat bitcoin, rest assured!

Completely true, no alt coin is even near to bitcoin. If we combine top 10 coins, even then they cannot replace the growth of bitcoins.

Bitcoin really has no competitors and they can not be. I'm sure that bitcoin will always be number 1, it will develop and its price will be very high. I believe in bitcoin.

The main advantages of bitcoin over other digital currencies is its maturity. It is the first, the most famous and the most common. It's about competition

No, There are many coins today want to compete bitcoin but its very sad because they are far behind in terms of profitability, market value, popularity and trust from many investors.

Even though there are many new coins in the market which have better technology and tx time etc, but none can compete when it comes to price and volume.

Currently there are some fast moving coins, and I see this move will make competition for bitcoin even beat bitcoin, if bitcoin does not move faster in raising its price and improve its services especially on better security and bitcoin transactions.
