Hundred per cent agree. Bitcoin is the first ever and will always be. Even if there will come any new and charming, bitcoin is the history, so no way it will be forgotten. I suppose it is good to have some alternative, but they are just adding more fun and diversity. But bitcoin is one and only and all the rest will be compared to it.
Bitcoin is the inception of digital currency. Some other cryptocurrency were conceived in light of bitcoin. Among those cryptcurrency some of them are fit for contending with bitcoin. In any case, bitcoin will dependably be to finish everything
All those FUDsters that where saying year ago how Bitcoin would fail because another currency would take over get proven wrong year after year. The more time Bticoin is alive, the stronger it gets and the bigger the network effect. Sorry but there will not be a Bitcoin 2.0. Bitcoin will go to 100k+ per coin in the next 5 to 10 years, it will absorb all the value researched in the field if not directly through protocol improvements then through sidechains.
Bitcoin will remain the only solid coin. The only coin that survived for the longest time (other coins can't claim this unless they invent a time machine).
There will be alts that pump really hard and make people millionaires, but no alt is going to surpass Bitcoin's strength and solidity. No coin will get a bigger marketcap. In the long term people holding 21+ BTC will be rewarded by history with rich-tier status for seeing the value in it before most people did. Yeah your right... People keeps bugging themselves because of this negative thoughts which is proven to be wrong... If there are a currency that will oppose bitcoin why it didn't appear now... Because it is truly establish now and we can surely prove it... It is really good now to invest in bitcoin and we dont need to worry anything about it... We only need to keep trusting it...
I don't think bitcoin has or will have any serious competition at least not at this time, ETH looks promising but plenty of issues and mostly rising because of the pump and dump strategies rather than serious use same for monero and the like, You can't use these coins mostly and can just exchange them for BTC so no serious advantage in having them other than to sell them at a better BTC price.

When it comes to exchange dominance it's just 66.4%.

Let me ask you a question, those alts company, why do they collect bitcoin too, since their alts are high and mighty. Theres no doubt that there are many altcoins which are now compete bitcoins but all of these are really behind bitcoin legacy. It is still bitcoin is the hearth of crypto industry and all competitors will came behind it.

Bitcoin technology was tested for several years and this is the first of its kind so bitcoin has the support of the community and larger developers. In support of the crypto world community is the main reason for the success of coins as this increases market demand. because bitcoin can convert to fiat, but for altcoin, its need to change into btc first then they can turn into fiat. and yes I think bitcoin will be the mother of every altcoin for today and for the future.

I agree for now there is nothing that can beat bitcoin, but something soon or later will show up that is going to be revolutionary like bitcoin.

All coins that exist are trying to compete bitcoin.Bitcoin most probably have more value than how much it is today.Just look at how much is the marketcap to the rest of those below bitcoin.If bitcoin goes down someone else's coin will replace and sure its a competitor.It may even have better features like Ethereum.Nowadays people don't see price changes in the range of half a dozen percentages every other day and they start to look into alternate coins.
in the price of bitcoin there is no competition, as the first crypto currency, it has many advantages. many altcoins are trying to repeat the success of bitcoin, they are able to create only useful products and cooperate with many well-known corporations and organizations. but bitcoin was and still is a reliable asset and a profitable investment.
if you compare it with another coin that already exists in the public I think bitcoin is the king and doesn't have competition, why? because we can see that the king is don't have any competitor like? but you need to see that the coin that will grow and popular and more popular than the king, after the king weaker than before i think that coin will change the king position

Altcoin to me is just a way to multiply my bitcoins, sometimes all my bitcoins are invested in a few altcoins but in the end i sell all of them for more bitcoins.
I think there is no competetion between them, it is just you have some alternatives if you have just enough capital then you can have the cheapest one. It is really true, we can sell altcoins to buy bitcoins. Altcoin to me is just a way to multiply my bitcoins, sometimes all my bitcoins are invested in a few altcoins but in the end i sell all of them for more bitcoins.
