Bitcoin to this day is still the king of crypto and has not had a strong competition, I see the price of coins is still very dependent and follow the price of bitcoin. But for the next few years maybe bitcoin will be defeated by the other crypto, because surely there will be some crypto that starts moving faster than the bitcoin price movement.

Bitcoin has no competition is this for real, well i guess this is not true because bitcoin has a lot of competition especially in this modern world. As the bitcoin grows the competitors also grows because some of its competitors are copying or patterning their developments with the developments of bitcoin. Well loud and proud we can say that bitcoin is the number one of all among and they are just copying for here. And also as the bitcoin develop its competitors now a days is not only the same crypto currency because some of the industry that were been affected arise like money remittances, way of payment in hotel and booking airline online and some of the payment of transactions online.

Yes, I also think bitcoin will remain as the strongest altcoin for long, but there are a couple of things that I am not so sure:

a) I don't think the bitcoin price can achieve that huge price above $5000 or $10000

b) And of course it is undoubted that in future years all these digital technologies will advance and perhaps our current altcoins will be considered as rudimentary technologies.

Bitcoin's price is a another factor which makes it unbeatable. Bitcoin is also accepted by many multinational company like Microsoft Amazon etc. These thing show that it has no competition. Wink

Bitcoin is perfect for transactions where traceability is desired, and to some extent, transparency. This is because all Bitcoin transactions are visible on the blockchain. Businesses love this feature of Bitcoin, not to mention that chargebacks are impossible. Bitcoin is very business friendly, and I'm still surprised at how few businesses realize all the benefits that BTC offers. If they're concerned about volality, they can instantly convert the BTC to cash via Coinbase or another service.

In online currencies world there's nothing that can beat btc because it is the no.1 coins and other altcoins is just an introverse they may attract other users but they can achieve what btc did already in this past few years and the good news is the value of btc rapidly going to the top and continuously attracting others to use btc power BTC users!!

This statement is partially right and wrong both.
Bitcoin actually does not have any competition among the crypto currencies.
All other crypto currencies are far more inferior to bitcoin.
But this does not change the fact that ,
Bitcoins has a lot to achieve even now,
It has to over come the already pre- established
Currencies like dollar ,pound etc.
So in a sense bitcoin has got a competition indirectly.

It's money first, technology second. I doubt this forum would have more than a few hundred members if the whiff of money didn't hang around it.

You can't switch your funds and the trust earned to something new without risking setting a large amount of your funds on fire.

'Good enough' is an element that works in plenty of areas even when there's no money on the line. When there is, the incentive to improve, and tolerate, what you have overpowers every other thing.

There is a reason why they are called as altcoins, because bitcoin is much more valuable than them, you can check on the marketcap and you compared. With both bitcoin and altcoins marketcap are growing, that is a good indication for success. I believe there is no competition that is going on because they make each other's progress when they co-exist.

It really have competition,it just seems that it don't have because they can't get in with bitcoin, there were lots of cryptocurrencies out here that were not able to get enough attention because where all in notice for bitcoin,so there is competition and its not slow ,if its slow ,why were all here and using it anyway.

This years has already proven that altcoins are an amazing option as investment, with amazing results with some interest and manipulation, i remember doge were sleepy at 19 satoshis, and it went into 45 satoshis recently, even being trade at 30-35 satoshis, the fact is altcoins are very easy manipulated and well, if you have some lucky and vision at same time you can make money just holding altcoins and waiting the pump, look at the dash it had amazing week and value 0,10 btc its an amazing result.
