I believe in 2020 bitcoin will be able to compete with paypal. even a credit card will be abandoned. bitcoin will have a very high price and bitcoin will be recognized as legitimate payment media by government and financial entities in the world.

Remember over 11 years will have passed by then. By then there will be over 10 alternatives.
I won't be surprised to see many new currencies by that time, bitcoin will also popular and with higher price but it will be facing some tough competition from new entrants.

I doubt that it will reach that amount just to commemorate the years past,maybe it can reach a 1k per btc.
everything is possible with enough speculation in the markets, but i really hope to see a slower but more sustainable growth throughout the years. otherwise we'll end up seeing the price go down again like we have seen in 2013 after reaching $1000. and i'm sure not many people are waiting for that same thing to happen once again.

I am doubtful that bitcoin will reach $10,000 per coin as this is just not fathomable. How would it get there by 2020? Countries will fail and their currency would disappear. Which country by then? US, China, Whole of South America. Then maybe I can fathom that happening.

If those country accept bitcoin and wont ban them in their country then bitcoin would go mainstream at 2020.The more user on those country then 10,000 per bitcoin isnt possible.

to be honest we all want price to be high but if you look realistic then some prices can be achieved with ease

Yes that is really a realistic one but I considered it as a fail one to surpass the expected price since 4 years from now bitcoin must surpass the $1000 range to up to close to $2000 if we will follow the trend and no spoiled bad news will happen.
