Bitcoins in Asia. especially my Indonesian nationality.
Here, bitcoins are already known and used everywhere. Starting from a permanent employee to an entrepreneur. However, bitcoin has not been granted permission from the government as one of the technologies in online payments (official money).

I'm from Korea. Bitcoin has definitely gotten on the map lately, and a good amount of people at least know what it is know. Most people still don't know much Bitcoin, just that the price is rising and could be a good investment. Basically seen as more of a rising asset than anything else.

Bitcoin is growing in terms of trading volume, in Southeast Asia. Since the end of 2016, a few countries like Malaysia and Thailand were consistently in the top 10 countries in terms of volume growth. There's not much real-life use for crypto there, however, but you can see some insight already into every day use.

Here's a recent study into how Indonesians use Bitcoin (they're the fourth largest country in the world in terms of population):

https://www.luno.com/blog/en/post/how-indonesians-use-bitcoin

There's also a huge blockchain roadshow taking place next month, visiting India, China, Spore, Malaysia... and another country. A bit silly to me, but will definitely make some waves and attract new users.

The growing of bitcoins in Asia is very good many people adopt bitcoins on their business and other the countries that knew about bitcoins and has good potential to be more biggest are China, India, Japan, Indonesia. They have big, solid comunity of bitcoins
every day the numbers user's bitcoins growing and that is good for bitcoins.
Bitcoin is more accepted in Asia, than all other continents. A source online even claims that after the August 1st event, that the price of bitcoin reaching up to $4000+ was due to Japanese investors. If that is really true, then I’m accurate by saying Bitcoin is more accepted by Asians.

How common is Bitcoin in Asia? Just want to know Huh
In my idea about the popularity of bitcoin in Asia, it is already established in Indonesia, India, vietnam, China, Japan, Korea, Philippines, those country are have their own bitcoin community but not as big for now but it will be sooner or later.

Bitcoin's industry penetrates the market of  Southeast Asia aggressively. Almost, all the countries that @voltesbit777 stated somehow accepted Bitcoin legally. Though not all businesses do not accept Bitcoin as a form of currency and they still prefer actual money. Here in the Philippines, Bitcoin's is now beginning to be popular and a lot of people are now accepting the idea of it. Though, We can't prevent the growing market of scammers in this countries. Since this hackers/scammers knew that Asia's market (Philippine, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and etc. belongs to one of the poor countries all over the world. They are targeting those people who wanted to have instant money but in reality, they don't.

The development of Bitcoin in this market is still not in full blown. Bitcoin will continue to develop in this market and hopefully, as the years go by businesses would recognize Bitcoin as a payment.

Large demand from tech enabled countries like South Korea, Japan and China. Fintwch is really booming there and the startup culture is intense.  Glad to know from the posts that places like Philippines and India are getting in, it can be a good tool for financial inclusion.

Yes I agree that bitcoin is very common now a days and it is highly used currency most of the transaction takes place while using bitcoin for online transfers and cash transaction as well .it will become very famous among the asian countries and it has a bright future.
For the time being, the continent which is the greatest user of bitcoins is Asia. Many countries of this continent like South Korea, North Korea, Japan, China, Philippines, and India etc have introduced bitcoins to their common public. Other than these, Australia is spreading its awareness at a very fast rate.

Bitcoin is primarily popular in Asia mainly because of their huge populations. One example to prove this statement is the rise of NEO. The Chinese people are the primary reason NEO's value has surged like crazy in the short-term in just a few months. They would never have learnt about NEO if bitcoin was not popular. Bitcoin led to people understanding the world of cryptocurrency like never before. The world has understood the true potential of bitcoin and things can only get better from here. Cheesy

I think Bitcoin in Asia is becoming more popular. It is because most of the people are treating it as a means of living, I know a couple of people who gets their daily needs through his income in bitcoin whether it'd be joining campaigns in this forum or through profits from trading. They really treat it as a job at home honestly speaking.
It is true that Asia is the number one continent that has the biggest impact in terms of of Bitcoin as a mode of transaction and investments of Bitcoins. Developing countries has the capability to adapt different state that simply can give them a possibility to develop their economical state and can widen the opportunities on transactions.

Its safe to say bitcoin is big in Asia. Ive actually noticed that a lot of people from the Philippines are on this forum.
Yes, I'm from Philippines too. But I only knew a handful of people who are bitcoiners in my area. But there are already lots of advertisements in social media and lots of merchants already are accepting bitcoin. So pretty soon, bitcoin will spread like virus in all Asia and hopefully worldwide.

bitcoin does have a very istimewah appeal for users all over the world so not bitcoin wonder if bitcoin is also spreading its wings all over asia from Japan, india, and other Asian countries negar already know about bitcoin even as digital currencies are valued higher in trading market.

Bitcoin in Asia is quite popular compared to the western Continents. This is all because of the increased acceptance and the people easily using it an way for getting an additional earning based on its legitimacy. In my thinking bitcoin will be growing high than expected as there is tremendous increase in adoption around the Asian countries.
Most of Asian countries are not as affluent as European or North American countries are and most of them have large population compared to European and North American countries so it's because of this reason that bitcoin has gained comparatively more popular in Asian countries than any other countries. Asian find bitcoin to be a great opportunity for them to make their lives better than it's now so obviously bitcoin has good number of supporters from Asian countries.

How common is Bitcoin in Asia? Just want to know Huh

I think this question is difficult to be answered accurately. When you say "common" it means majority. Not all countries in Asia has declared their acceptance of Bitcoin. Only some of the popular country did. We do not even know if some are already accepting Bitcoin but they are not announcing it to the world. There is no concrete basis that would tell us that Bitcoin is common in Asia though some might think it is.
yes that is right that still not all countries have still accepted bitcoin, but still we can say that the users of bitcoin are available in every Asian country. and their number is continuously increasing, even in Afghanistan where they are mostly in war like situation but still there are people who have good knowledge about bitcoin and are using it.

Well, China is the biggest player in the Bitcoin market in the world and it is in Asia. I think even Japan has adopted Bitcoin in masses and a lot of btc-enabled businesses are coming up, even BTC ATMs too which helps in transacting btc. In my country, India, BTC is quite less popular but the youth here have started to realise the huge potential of Bitcoins and have started moving in onto it. Mass adoption thus, is still lacking in India, and to be fair, I don't think the other smaller and under-developed countries have even heard about bitcoin.

Bitcoin in asia is growing in popularity especially since there are some countries that legalize Bitcoin as a legitimate transaction tool, especially in my country BItcoin and other coins have started to be used as a medium of exchange and already many people are looking for income and using coins As a medium of exchange. Maybe in the next few years Bitcoin will be legal in many countries especially asia.
yes that is right that bitcoin is becoming popular in most of the Asian countries. people are in fact giving more preference to bitcoin. i think that now not only in Asia but  bitcoin is now becoming more popular in all the parts of the world. i do not think that there will be a single country where people may not know about bitcoin. i think now bitcoin is already spread throughout the world.
