What is your opinion: will btc become a currency with which you can pay in supermarkets, subways etc?
Or will it remain a crypto-currency used mostly in the Internet?
I'm waiting this time coming up so i can spend bitcoin to buy some food in supermarkets somedays maybe it will happen in 5 year again.
I am also waiting for the day when all the supermarket where I accept bitcoin. maybe if that happens, I will be using bitcoin every day, because I was using bitcoin fairly easily than others, perhaps just by bringing smarthphone, I can buy something at the supermarket

I personally wish bitcoin will become something that we can use everyday paying for almost everything. However, in the current form it will just be a digital asset. We really need to scale up before the mainstream can start using bitcoin. Mainstream maybe ready now but bitcoin is not ready!

So far in my country I don't know a physical store that accepts bitcoin yet and it used to be considered a very rich country before EURO took over and destroyed our economy (talking about my country, Italy). I have seen in the net a few stores and a few persons selling in online market places here that they accept bitcoin. I hope the day when we can use bitcoin as an everyday currency will not be really far away but for the moment I am afraid very very few physical stores accept bitcoin. You can view coinmap and certain other websites which tells you where bitcoin is accepted physically in stores around the world and there you will see there are too few of this kind of stores until now unfortunately.

One day everything will be connected to internet. Then we can assume that bitcoin will be much more present in everyday life. I'm just worried about limit of coins, will be enough coins for everyone to use it in everyday needs?
How can everyone buy ticket for bus, or bread in supermarket? How much money people spent in one day on this world? With coins limit I'm not sure that everyone will have coins for spending.

Basically there are a lot of people who 've been wondering about this , when the government will make this bitcoin
as payment for the sale and purchase .
which in essence is the role of government so is important in this regard . Bitcoin debit card is very
useful to buy something and I think something like this would take a long time due to using bitcoin in
everyday life to make buying and selling and the need for awareness of all people .
but I think there are a lot of people who are not aware of this.

Maybe someday it will, bitcoin will be used by all people around the world and accepted on many shops, supermarkets, subways, etc. Someday it will happen.

Even now few stores accept bitcoin for physical goods. So it is likely if the bitcoin popularity keeps on increasing it may become a mainstream currency.

It is quite sure that bitcoin will be accepted and can be accepted by any merchants that are capable of taking pos payment. Even that is not required a merchant with smartphone/tablet/laptop etc can easily start accepting bitcoin payment. So yes lets hope we all can pay to our local supermarket and even a tea store near by us. In american and european country i think this is already possible.

It seems more and more that I am using it in my life for things that use on a daily basis. Whether it be picking up groceries or paying for my dry cleaning at the local laundry mat.
It is more of a convenience than a burden to most retailers now a days to be dealing with it.

I can see a few of offline stores around me uses bitcoin.
Regardless of their gov rules for claiming bitcoin is illegal , it should be fine to open your offline store use bitcoin as a payment.

I don't really see a need for bitcoin to be this widely accepted. We already have fiat. It will take a much more serious transition into a cashless society before people become that conversant in bitcoin. Also, people have the convenience of credit and debit cards, which act like a much more user friendly version of bitcoin. More expensive, but way more user friendly and secure for the common user.

I think yes we can pay in supermarket using bitcoin but it will need long time because mostly stores are not accept bitcoin as payment method and or today cryptos currencies used in the internet only.
i doubt that it will be possible in the near future, shops will not want to risk doing that because they will think that the price can fluctuate and they will lose money because of that

This will happen only if payments become faster if they remain as they are now people will not use BTC and i don't blame them for this.Imagine yourself to wait 30 minutes for your transaction to be completed while you are shopping in the supermarket.
if the buyers sending bitcoin in front of the seller, and show the transaction to the seller, i'm sure there's no chance for the buyers to send a double spend transaction so confirmation is unnecessary at this time, doesn't need to wait

I think eventually it will be come the currency of the world, and will be worth a fortune ..... Smiley
i think you are right about it, bitcoins has a lot of potential to becoming the currency of the world and i think that this will happen, i hope it will make me some good money really easily

Bitcoin will be the best digital currency in future but it cannot take place of any major currency so I don't think it can become the currency of the world.
