It's no news that the volatility nature of Cryptocurrency is  limiting the growth of the Cryptocurrency market .
But I am of the opinion that those who are moving into gold investment instead if Cryptocurrency do not understand the potentials of Cryptocurrency in the long run.
If they do, they wouldn't have left Cryptocurrency for gold.

Dont you trust the potential of Gold in the long run as well? They have left cryptocurrency for some reason that Gold is far more a superior investment than cryptocurrency. Maybe some do not understand, but majority does. Cryptocurrency is a very risky investment, but it could give you multiple folds of profit if asset is handled properly with good decisions makings, whereas Gold is a much safer investment.

Chances are, they think that investing in bitcoin is not promising. While investing in gold is quite likely to benefit. A little but sure. Because the price of gold always rises even though little by little. While waiting for recovery in Bitcoin.

No uncertainties in gold really. At least not in the same range as Bitcoin.

To be precise they’re moving to paper gold, which is NOT physical gold, that’s definitely going to hurt crypto because more money will be moved into nothing but a imaginary gold. Unless you’re talking about trading bitcoin for physical gold going offline, not trading some contract gold otc.

Calling it imaginary gold is taking it a bit too far. When buying gold securities you are ALWAYS able to exchange it to actual gold. The thing is that nobody actually want to store the gold, as it is highly impractical.

No doubt that the Bitcoin investors are now switching or moving to the gold it maybe because of the crypto market that is kicking so hard. The crypto currency community is facing a great challenge in the history which brings a lots of assets into despair. Well, the community crypto market is not yet recovering but still keeps on running.

It could be true but I think it will not affect the believers or the bitcoin in general because we all know bitcoin is still best for doing things gold just can't do. Bitcoin is a payment system aside from just being an investment so that it differs a lot from gold. I don't mean to say gold is not good but they are different. That is why both can stay together side by side now and in the future to come.

I don't think that bitcoins investors are moving to Gold these days. If that was the case, we could have seen big spike in the value of Gold but this does not happen. Those people who are investor of bitcoins are the ones who need quick profits and are willing to take more risk. Gold Investment will never provide them quick gain , even though the investment in Gold is much safer than bitcoins

I don't think either

But Bitcoin is too small to make a scratch in the gold market and affect the gold price in any meaningful degree. Many people are gauging the cryptocurrency market by its market cap. But it is a wrong metric to use in this case (and in almost any other case). In order to make a meaningful assessment we have to take into account the liquidity of the market, i.e. how many bitcoins can be sold without crashing the price. That will be the amount of fiat which can be invested in gold, and it will be negligible given the size of the gold market

Indeed, people who investing on bitcoin and gold is different. Most gold investor are old people with traditional mindset and bitcoin investor mostly are millenials or people who understand about technology. Gold always first choice for most people because gold known for centuries but i think in the future bitcoin can be good alternative investment

I'm sure even though many bitcoin investors are moving to gold, I'm sure there are still many bitcoin investors who still stay in cryptocurrency. not all investors move to gold
the mindset of most investors is how to see their assets grow and not too often decrease in value, but they will again release their gold when at least the crypto market has been dominated by coins at stable prices, even though this is not bitcoin, because investors remain reactive to developments now and the possibility to continue to see profit opportunities.

I think there should be studies and research for that, it can't only be sourced from the news articles that you provide. however Bitcoin still has a higher price than gold or fiat currencies.
but I admit that the current situation is that there are many investors and traders who prefer to be quiet than speculating that is very risky

Few investors might move to alternative investing assets like Gold and share markets until bitcoin starts its bull run and that is the time majority of them will understand there stupidity because if we look at the bitcoin past all the time when there is a dip a bull run usually follows and even bitcoin didn't starts to recover its price than earlier times soon it will continue to increase the value and holders will get there price for there patience

If that investors were a failure in cryptocurrency, then they are thinking of investing on something that has a less issues like gold. I don't think they'd give up cryptocurrency easily. Especially when they've experience such fruit of profits.

Yeah what's wrong with using both of them? I'm not sure Bitcoin users are turning to gold, because gold has been around since
Bitcoin didn't exist? I think the option is gold users switch to bitcoin, or gold users add bitcoin to other option of investment

I think it's very difficult to make sense if Bitcoin investors turn to gold, because Bitcoin investors certainly understand that profits through bitcoin are far greater than gold. They also understand that the risk of investing in Bitcoin is indeed much greater, so seeing the development of Bitcoin prices that have always dropped in the past year does not mean that bitcoin investors are diverting gold investments, I see them enjoying a decline in Bitcoin prices, because they understand this investment and know Bitcoin prices will definitely rise again and can generate huge profits for them.

I don't think so, we have seen lot of news like that but reality is different. We can say just big investors are waiting to invest on Bitcoin. Due ETF and some others issue big investors are on confuse about market volatility. But I believe some of big investors are buying bitcoin but they are not exposing in my opinions. Just they are silent and may be any time can run bull like 2017. As a bitcoin holder personally I don't believe much bitcoin investors are moving on gold investments. Bitcoin and gold investments are not same. I think we can't see this price again within next years. So whoever will move on gold from bitcoin I don't think they will on much profits.

ETF will be a good for bitcoin and make bitcoin more popular among big investor. If ETF approved by SEC, big investor must be interesting to invest in bitcoin and cryptocurrency market. But for traditional people, Gold still their first option because its looks real investment

I hope so, and when ETF approved, I hope that it might help the price to get the new higher price. People who smart will choose both bitcoin and gold, and they will use bitcoin as the online investment and gold as the offline investment. I am sure that they can be ready for the worst things that might happen and they want to make a profit from both bitcoin and gold at the same time.

[quote author=joniboini link=topic=5103932.msg49492410#msg49492410 I still think people who want to risk a lot will choose crypto instead of gold or any other asset. It's a high-risk high return investment, after all.
[/quote]
Indeed it is high risk high return on investment and if why many people around the world choose crypto currency investment in recent time particularly as we are experiencing a downward trend people are buy crypto currency at a cheaper rate waiting an increase in time to come which we all believe it will happen in no distance time.

I think this news is not correct. because until now there are still many people who choose bitcoin, even though the condition of bitcoin is worsening, but people are able to understand it. because every trip of a business is not always going to be smooth.

yes, of course the bitcoin investors still survive today. they haven't just gone away by replacing bitcoin with gold. only a few people do this. because they are afraid of the situation of bitcoin which is getting down

Investors are now moving to more stable commodities because they believe that this commodity will not liquidate easily like the cryptocurrency, but what is important about the liquidity of cryptocurrency is the ability to move in different direction some time upwards or downward.
