well for the fact that few persons moved to gold does not mean people no longer believe in bitcoin. so many investors still believe in bitcoin and are ready to take the risk with bitcoin

When I think more about this, I guess that if people/investors were moving to gold is because they want to have another type of investment, so they choose gold for the next investment. And what I think is how we can spread that money into many types of investment because our purpose is to make more and more money in the future. And by having more than two types of investment, gold and cryptocurrency, we can have the opportunity to make a bigger profit.

you are mostly wrong.
having more than one investment is not going to give you more profit, and also having more than one investment (aka diversification) is not about making more profit, it is instead about reducing the risk of your investment while still making profit.
so when you buy something else like gold it is because you want to have a stake in another market that is not going to drop with bitcoin, or vice versa, you buy bitcoin because you want to have something that doesn't drop with gold. so that if one of them dropped you are not in total loss.

besides OP is not even talking about diversification! he is talking about people giving up bitcoin and buying gold instead. and he is saying they are dong it now that it is not time to sell but the time to buy Cheesy

I don't care if what they wanna do with their money ,whats important is out money that will remain here in crypto investments, let us not look for something that might discourage others to continuously support bitcoin and all altcoins instead let others see things in good prospective that theres a bright option from this bear and that is to purchase more crypto while the value is more cheaper.never let the dip bring us down because we all know that in sooner market will recover

A lot of people believe in Bitcoin but saying that people moved to gold? Nah.

If someone is capable of investing big money, they've already invested on Gold surely for a long time now. They might invest on Bitcoin but I don't think they will prioritize Bitcoin since Gold is one of the best investments for a long time now. You are saying that a lot of people are taking risks but the price of Bitcoin is continuing to drop meaning a lot of them are selling their Bitcoins now.

Some people call this news a fud.

it is not FUD, it is bullshit. there is a difference.

bitcoin investors don't go for gold, they either already have gold as their other investment for diversification purposes or they don't. what they never do is to sell bitcoin to buy gold instead! not to mention that at this point, everyone is either sucking their greed up and are accumulating bitcoin before the big rise begins or are greedy and are waiting for their dream price to buy bitcoin.

I dumper over 100BTC and put it into gold and others have too

Oh really ? When was the time you've done that ?  100 btc is too much and you could move the price downwards all by yourself but your decision was bad because you didnt know that bitcoin is the only one asset that can give you a 4 to 6 times return and gold or other investment options cannot obviously do that . poor little guy :|

I sold an element for cash and purchased gold locally.

The majority of gold I purchased directly with BTC on silvergoldbull (shipped from Canada)

I did it when the price was significantly higher than it is now, bitcoin can possibly make you 4X - 6X profit but it can also wipe out 80% of wealth like it has currently.

Gold is currently at an all time high in 72 currencies, I am happy with my decission and sleep easy at night.

p.s also purchased a Lamborghi Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder with my profits too Wink

i stand on what i said and you may not know it but you just agreed with me. i suggest you read the bold part of your own comment and then go on the bullshit website of OP and read the first line there. here let me help you with that:
"Bitcoin investors are now moving to gold". and it is published on January 2019 not when we were near ATH.

in short OP is trying to convince us that NOW that the drop has practically ended and it is near the bottom or in other words 85% below the ATH, the bitcoin investors are selling their bitcoins to go into gold!

I don't think people did remove gold from their vocabulary totally because of bitcoin by the way. I believe that though many crypto holders have full trust in bitcoin and have not really given attention on gold, it doesnt mean gold became lesser in value. gold is tested and proven even from the beginning of times and still until now valuable, so if bitcoin investors have shifted to gold now that bitcoin price is down, their decisions are justified. they can't be blamed.
Agreee I think just because of bitcoin, someone won't get rid of sight or get away from gold. of course we know the capacity and potential of gold, Im sure that not all users leave gold for bitcoin right ? some even combine it? and that doesn't matter, even get more profit

I don't think investors are switching to gold. After all, any thinking person understands that bitcoin is also a very profitable investment and now it would be foolish to sell it in order to invest in gold. It's better to keep both.

Bitcoin investors are now moving to gold citing the cryptocurrency’s issues with liquidity and store of value.

We should not be astounded by this news, we have seen bitcoin reach $20,000 and fall to $3000 and it would be natural for people to think that bitcoin will never reach $20,000 again. Then people will look for other investments that are safer and more profitable. We can not force people to keep their bitcoins

I won't believe this entirely and neither should you...

this may be true, look at the current price and the price of 2017, it's clear that people are coming out of bitcoin and cryptos in general

I won't believe this entirely and neither should you and what we should understand is nothing on the internet specially news regarding bitcoin and cryptocurrencies should believe at once because governments, Media, Other central organizations and Individuals who are among us spread nonsense regarding bitcoin and crypto without any solid proof so at the end many loose there money and time due taking wrong decisions in a hurry  by panicking

It could be but I don't think there are many of them shifting their loyalty from bitcoin to gold. This is clearly a fud. It is more reliable if the article says that the investors of gold also investing bitcoin. Aside from this I don't think their is another way of statement to beautify the statement.

That's where you are going wrong.

It's an investment, loyalty doesn't come into it.

Bullshit.

Correct title is, Bitcoin investors own gold too.  I am a bitcoin investor and I am abandoning neither. The only thing I'm abandoning is FIAT. (slowly) If I had to choose between Gold and Bitcoin, I would choose Bitcoin because you can't buy your groceries with gold coins. Gold's use as a currency is non-existent and it is not coming back. It is over for gold.
Why do you think Crypto investors also invest in gold?
Cryptocurrency created because it wanted to replace FIAT so why are they still trying to spend on FIAT, they fear that Crypto will fail in this battle or they think Crypto cannot replace FIAT?

LOL  Grin Comparing bitcoin to gold is like the worst thing to do. I can't think of migrating from bitcoin to gold as there is a huge difference in both.
The volatility is a huge difference in both. It would be hard for people to gain big profits in a short time if they invest in Gold.
Besides that they will also have to carefully keep the Gold in a safe place and safeguard it from thieves. It sure is a burden.

This is a fud, those investors already have investment in gold not that they're just moving from bitcoin to gold. Even at that more and more sectors are now accepting cryptocurrency mostly bitcoin and i don't think this should  be a reason to worry about.

Wait for a moment. We don't know if they are really moving to gold because that is news which we cannot know if it's true or not. Maybe that news wants to make people in cryptocurrency fear for seeing the market cannot recover so far. But I don't think that cryptocurrency will end this day because it's still beginning the era of the digital technologies and I am sure that if people were moving to gold, then they will regret it in someday because, in that time, cryptocurrency will be on the high price.

I do not appreciate the choice of investors who invest in gold. Gold is one of the precious metals, but it cannot be as volatile as Bitcoin. Investors are looking for profits so choose risky options because this is more profitable than investing in gold.

There is a strong possibility that some people who ae into cryptocurrency like Bitocin are moving to gold and this can be for many reasons they know and feel compleed to decide. Well, this can never be alarming as movement from one investment vehicle to another is just a natural occurence...there is no fixed strategy when you are an investor. In my opinion, maybe there are those who think that the bearish market is getting to be risky and they are looking for a less volatile investment tool like gold. However, when things are good again (and I hope that happen soon) then these people can easily go back to cryptocurrency almost in an instant.

This is a generalized version, and in fact only a few can do this. True crypt liters remain in it, buying each time something new from the market, those who are a little afraid for their money, buy gold, but still do not completely leave the market.
