You're right with saying that the price has increased, but that just means that Bitcoin was a fantastic investment months ago as the price has gone up nicely till where we are sitting at currently. Right now it's a 50/50 situation where I personally wouldn't want to step into the market at current prices. Right now it's good to either keep holding, secure profits, or to simply wait till the price drops to enter the market.

Don't add much value to the predictions made here as they mostly are way off from the reality. Reaching the $800 level, and perhaps going slightly over it to around $820 is the most we can expect to happen this year. I consider the price at current levels already to be a fantastic Christmas gift, so for me personally it doesn't matter whether or not we'll reach $800 this year.

Yes that's a great investment because there are a lot of opportunities you can do with it, by just simply buying bitcoins and holding it for a long time then that's effortless and that will give you decent profit in the end when the price is going to increase further. And the many bitcoins you are going to hold, the higher profit you will get.

Some have gain success in doing it so it should be working for any investor as long as we have the right patience and the right capital needed to invest using the method, long term and short term investment will work as long as bitcoin price will continue to rise.

If someone sees Bitcoin as an investment, then you want to make money with it. A loosing month is ok, but Bitcoin also had many months even years where the price was not a pretty thing to look at. Bitcoin has a really weird love/hate relationship with investors. Some months can be a slaughter, and others are just insane rises in value that end up with a large amount of money being moved to some people's pockets. There are good weeks and bad weeks, good years and bad years, it all comes down to whether or not there are people who want to invest. The volatility matters more than anything for a lot of investors.

The way I see it, Bitcoin is a good investment at the moment by different factors. There are economic and political factors, such as those factors related to the increase in demand for Bitcoin in third world countries. There are also technological factors, and these are probably the ones that can have a stronger impact on the price this year, because of improvements that can be implemented on the network that can make a big difference in the benefits users will get by using Bitcoin.

Actually, I am quite with you on that. The Bitfinex incident was a good opportunity to buy cheap bitcoins, and likely the only such opportunity for well over a year now. But still we shouldn't forget about the Mt. Gox fiasco, and what havoc it caused. I'm not going to say that something like that is going to happen, history doesn't work this way. I'm talking more about the scale of that event and the consequences that it led to, which could be repeated.

No, the incident of bitfinex collapsed. bitcoin price did not experience significant reduction and is still in being in a fairly high level, only the people who buy bitcoin after collapsing mtgox who have earned huge profits when the price touched $ 800.

Honestly, the incident does not really pose big risk, in fact after a little fall back the price is not increasing, and I see it as an opportunity to buy cheap bitcoins that time, and I hope you guys were able to buy like i did.

If you can't buy it, then don't buy it. You don't have to problematize that matter since no matter what you do, the solution is to have money. To be honest, I wouldn't consider buying little amount of bitcoin as a good investment because even if it doubles in the future, you wouldn't get that much profit. You have to buy many bitcoins before you can see huge returns. Basically huge investment = huge returns.

But if you live in a third world country like me, having 1 bitcoin is recommended by me because it's already a huge amount of money here and doubling it would be really useful unlike in other places.
