you're right, pump and dump is a normal thing in the world cyrptocurrency, especially bitcoin. in addition, bitcoin prices also tend to rise from day to day. So, most likely, the price of bitcoin will still achieve a price above $ 1,000, in some time, whether it's in a short time, or longer. but, I speculated that the price will be achieved in a few weeks, or months.

I can see it going even higher before the end of February when major things in bitcoin are going to happen.

The growth seems reasonable to me. Bitcoin has been undervalued for a long time. A lot of people were on the sidelines waiting for the moment to get in, and the fear of missing out is kicking in as we have crossed $1000 with confidence. We just tested $1090 in Bitstamp. The people shorting at $1000 have lost a lot of money already. Buy and holders win another day. If you are reading this and you tried to short, sorry for your loss.

Current price is good to secure profits or to just keep holding your coins. I wouldn't want to find myself buying at current levels as result of having missed the opportunity to buy at prices far below the current levels months ago. Investing right now is like gambling since the price has been going through an unpredictable (more than ever was the case) time frame. Especially when you consider that we haven't seen a correction yet. Also, don't forget that the higher we go up right now, the lower the further profits will be. It means even greater risks for people buying at current levels.

The rise of the price could be related to the popularity of bitcoin but for real there isn't one factor that can explain the positive move but it is an accumulation of many such as the devaluation of fiat,...etc

Devaluation of fiat doesn't make a big impact upon the price movement, it the miners along with we users and big traders who were continued participants of bitcoin is responsible. Most of the users were waiting to experience $1000 per bitcoin, but often price getting close and sustaining around $950-960. Lets hope for the best by the new year start.

Well, today we just reach $963, less than $40 to break the wall of $1000.
I always check it regularly in several hours to see how is it going and happily to see it growing.
There's no point to waiting for $1000 and then sell out your bitcoin, don't you think it is inflict a financial loss?
I mean, there is no point to have intended to sell out when the price reach certain point due to small profit, it's better to spend your coins in daily life or sell out when you don't have any other option.

Now waiting if there's an attempt of a dump once the price reached $1000. Surely it will come even as we speak here since no way people will get profits out of the multiple pump happens starting from the range of $700.

More importantly, the stability must established at around $800 so that it will now be the new bottom. It's far way better than jumping to $1000 as we all know, still lack of support since many are just waiting for sell off to take profits.
