It wont be accepted as a global currency until some regulations are made. But digital currencies will be the future but not very soon as we expect. Bitcoin will force governments to take digital currency right away.

Well I think they will learn to accept, it just recently that my boss who happen to say bitcioin is a scam, is now planning to setup a company that will accept or at least use bitcoin as it's main payment. Kinda surprising but well , i was surprised when he researched it and told me how he was amazed on the potential of bitcoin in marketing industry.

In my opinion being a international currencies does not mean replacing a dollars... Global currencies means being recognized all over the world from Africa to America from Europe to Asia, Australia. I have seen many deals outside US but when you compare the price between usd and eur then you will find that the difference is very high. Bitcoins is going global in every country.
