:)Governments sometimes say Bitcoin has a bad image because hackers and scammers can ask for payment in it. However Western Union has been used by the Nigerian prince scammers for years and no governments talk about restricting its use, regulating it further, or banning it. IMO the dark side of Western Union is far worse than the dark side of Bitcoin.
Too bad I feel sorry on saying this that western union is still better than bitcoin nowadays. Because they had a lot of customers throughout the world and those people doesn't have any knowledge when it comes to bitcoin or crypto currency. But I know one day they will be informed about bitcoin and will even try to use it for remittances.
As you said and I could conclude that western union have many customers because of many people still lack knowledge of bitcoin, but, it's have nothing to do with whether which one of bitcoin and WU is better.There's many services out there that poorly offered and have many customers meanwhile there's good services that only having low customers also exist, the amount of customers have nothing to do with the quality of the service providers.
People are comparing almost everything with bitcoin. And expect to see more comparison about bitcoin vs everything. But when it comes to service I do love both, I've got relatives that doesn't have knowledge with bitcoin and I don't have choice but to use WU when remitting and receiving money from abroad.
Yes me too. My relatives and friends that are used to send me or send them using Western Union are ok with them even though the charge are big. I already told me that the fee's are really huge and they should change the payment by using bitcoin. But I guess they don't to used bitcoin because they heard that bitcoin are used for dark webs so I don't force them anymore. The most important thing for them is that the money went to my account without hassle on their side. But from time to time, I tell them all about bitcoin and hope they chance their mind.
Remember they are a remittance center, if they will use bitcoin as a method of payment then they are just dragging themselves into the hole where they digged it alone. Lol, why are you guessing that they aren't using bitcoin, of course they don't because they are a remittance center of fiat.
True, bitcoin different with western union, I think of the speed, security, low cost certainly bitcoin better than western union, I'm sure future day the transaction is bitcoin is larger than western union.

Most of the people that use the computers or live on the internet use Bitcoin as a payment option. I haven't noticed anyone within this day and age asking for Western Union payments unless they are dwelling in 3rd world countries or they're trying to scam someone for money.
I choose Bitcoin as the payment option because it's cool to use when purchasing anything online. You could meet a bunch of people online just from using Bitcoin and they stay around even if Bitcoin isn't around as well.

Well in terms of popularity or awareness, Western Union wins the round because more people are using Western Union to transfer their money to one place to another. This is because Western Union is a company who can advertise their company to gain popularity. Bitcoin on the other hand is just a currency that has no way of advertising itself except for its users. Also I am pretty sure that if Bitcoin is more well known than Western Union people will not use their service anymore.

compared to traditional money remittance, western union charges more,
mathematical errors have been made at many instances,
people also experienced having wrong currency exchange,
identification card and a custom transaction number is all that necessary to claim money, so more possible use by scammers.

I can't agree completely with you.
If you want to move your bitcoin funds to paypal, for example, or cashout in your local currency through different echangers, you will also have very high fees.
For bitcoins you need Internet and in some parts of the world people don't have Internet but have WU offices.
Recently, waiting time for bitcoin became very long, sometimes even more than 24 hours.
Through WU you can receive money in a few minutes.
So, in some cases bitcoin will be better choice but in some cases people will choose WU.
Personally I'd recommend using Bitcoin much more than I would WU. Not only is WU a hassle and has additional fees involved, but things just seem to go wrong more often with it for some reason idk.

If you're worried about opsec or whatever from that just send them to another wallet (coinbase or whatever) and send to g0d from there.

Suppose person A want to send money or payment to the person B . But what happened if the person A belong to that country where use of Bitcoin is legally but use of bitcoin is not legal for the that person B ( example like Russia , Bangladesh ) .
So all it depends upon our condition , Here for myself the Bitcoin is more better then the Fiat that is more practical in practical life in my country .

Bitcoin is much better than Western Union but it still needs lot more time to gain the trust of common man. The current number of Bitcoin users is climbing up steadily. There are large number of people who can't handle Bitcoin properly and have fear. I think old payment processors have no big immediate threat from Bitcoin though it is more cost effective and faster than those.

Well it depends. Western Union can transfer money from one place to another, but the difference is that bitcoin can store money thats what they call bitcoin wallet. While Western Union cant. But it still depends. What if Western Union can transfer money faster ? Or if the user doesnt have internet to use bitcoin ?
I do not think we should use the old payment processor, because it's a dog see a lot of restrictions, it's being bugs serious and can not fix, currently, I have not seen any measures Which one can fix it, series of transactions are stuck. The big expense is always the problem when we use something, bitcoin too, we need a more reasonable fee, we can not pay a large amount of money for each transaction, and many This time we will lose a lot of money, so a new technology that will reduce costs and increase speed will be necessary.
