Back in the early days of bitcoin there were a lot of people calling out bitcoin for being a ponzi scheme and whatnot, but they have pretty much failed miserably with their predictions that never panned out. I remember a lot of people were saying that bitcoin will crash to zero in 5 years blah blah blah.

It's just another bitcoin hater. No need to take too much notice, obviously he is affiliated with some sort of stock market broker, and bitcoin trading is a direct competitor to stocks. So it makes sense for him to write up this sort of bullshit.

Altcoins aren't going to replace bitcoin.

And there is no "rumour" that suggests that ethereum is going to be the "new bitcoin". All it had done is simply come close to bitcoin's market capitalization which in my opinion will probably not be the case in the near future as more and more people move their funds out of ethereum and into bitcoin in search of better liquidity and trading opportunities.

He has some good points in his article, but they are not properly researched and it's extremely biased coming from a central bank supporter as their author.

Well, at least there is something like an enlightened post here that shows unbiased analysis of bitcoin.

Indeed, while the article is clearly a critic about the existence and the foundation of bitcoin, it has a point nevertheless. And, yes it is true, new ones are emerging nonstop, crypto after crypto. But the article is also showing figures, not just simple figures but in billions. Which means even if there are critics of this new technology, the demand is simply rising rather consistently, reflecting trust from people.

Of course there's pump and dump because of the volatility as like the other currencies. There's Eth that next to btc but it's not enough. Many good features has btc that we experience and many countries now legalized it.

It's a good article and has an own point, I agree with you bitcoin will be more powerful in the near future because of people who enroll in this community each day. Bitcoin users have a good advantage for bitcoin itself.
