It really depends on your investment and trading strategy. You can't say that short term trading or investing is bad, say if you are mainly a swing trader. All these generalized statements here arn't really going to help anyone.
If you want to have a short return of investment then not invest on bitcoin. Bitcoin is so volatile that even it increase and decrease in second. Most people complains about their loss on the price drop, I got loss too, but you will be broke when you sell it on a low price. If people would be patient to wait a bit more then all would be good. Who else make millions on just a week ? None. Im saying this not just to promote holding but also encourage all those crypto users be patient and be calm on the price drop. Youre still not loss until you sell it on low price. Hold it for a while, if you are weary and try investing on others like ICOs until you almost forget it and go back when it pumps again. Nobody know when would it be increased but it would. Be strong people.

I invest in Bitcoin long term, but I can see times when you can justify selling. For example, if you bought earlier in 2017 and then saw the price make a huge gain to close to $20,000, you could have sold for a really good profit. Then you could have waited for the drop to buy back much cheaper. I think if you can time the big increases and corrections, there is room to make some decent profit short term.
Yes, I agree with you, and I can say undoubtedly that bitcoin is so much volatile.we should invest for a long term. if you invest for a short term then you will be lessor.if you want to benefited then you should invest for long term. Agree with that if you cant wait for a long term in bitcoin then bitcoin is not a good investments for you and you can always find a good one. There are so many good tokens and ICO now that you can earn a good profit in short all you have to do is search.
Yes it is but it's up to you to manage your account carefully and efficiently. The loss and gain scenario of your accounts depends upon your decisions. My suggestion is always be on the safe side. Invest 1/2 of your BITCOIN for your future financial security and trade the other half to satisfy your urge for the game.

Can be for both dude as long as how much the value is when you sell it back. Just have an idea on keeping half for long term and half for short term. You won't miss anything if you go by this move. Plan to invest in many coins along with bitcoin. This would fill your wallet with more turn over.

That is why those experts opinion and advise was to hold bitcoin as it is worth holding for a long time so no reason for me not to follow their path as I don't want to regret this in the future, I believe in it as well and I wanna fly to the moon just like other are experiencing here so putting our 100% trust and belief here is so much necessary.

True but there are also some people who do margin trading with Bitcoin and make thousands too, but it depends on the market. Currently the market does not look good so long term investment would be a great solution for you to have lesser losses or if you hold it more longer then we’ll never know, you might even gain profit in a few years.
I keep wondering, if Bitcoin really will succeed long term. I keep looking at all the new perspective coins with progressive tech and cannot help but feel a bit unsure about bitcoin. You can tell us that since bitcoin is in very deep now that almost all of the doubters never expect and hope for rise again. Your just like a nonbeliever of bitcoin. If bitcoin goes up last November to December them I am confident that it eill soon rise again.
indeed bitcoin is a long term investment but you should also read the market do not just hold it for a long time because it is less evective
