although if we look at this time almost every country already has a bitcoin atm machine

Not exactly true. Bitcoin ATMs are popular in Europe & the US but not other continents.

you missed to tell us in which country you from so we might have idea on what is your country status about Bitcoin but its Ok what is important the adoption your country is having now.

If you continue reading further you'll know where does OP live.

With that said, I believe the number of merchants accepting Bitcoin is a better metric to judge this adoption thing.

I feel very inspired right now. I just came across a video in which there's a Bitcoin ATM in the country! I feel so glad to see how Bitcoin is getting adopted.
The presence of a bitcoin ATM does not mean that the adoption of bitcoin has grown, although if we look at this time almost every country already has a bitcoin atm machine but unfortunately bitcoin users rarely use this machine to make transactions because the costs are higher than using other exchanges and there are also other shortcomings in bitcoin machine atm.

I feel very inspired right now. I just came across a video in which there's a Bitcoin ATM in the country! I feel so glad to see how Bitcoin is getting adopted. This proves that after all, our promotion of bitcoin is helping in spreading the news. And we aren't planning to stop the promotion anytime; we're even planning to hold more seminars to help people know about bitcoin. Now, one of the advantages of this Bitcoin ATM is that anyone who doesn't know what Bitcoin is and sees it would ask what the machine is used for, and from there, it just keeps spreading!!! Watch the video here to see how it works. BTW, What progress is happening in your country? If none then try doing more in favour of bitcoin (for countries that find bitcoin legal).

in my country its been many years since the ATM's has been Installed but still there is no clear stand from the government towards Bitcoin, they are just reminding the people to invest at their own risk as cryptocurrency is risky(according to them) but they are not banning or stopping people from doing investments here.

In my country, I've heard that there's already a Bitcoin ATM however I haven't really seen one in person. When I first heard about this similar news, I got excited and happy at the same time because I can see that Bitcoin is starting to gain attention here in my country. But after some time, I don't know if the number of bitcoin ATM increases.
Overall, it's a slow step towards mass adoption. I'm just glad that cryptocurrency is slowly gaining attention here in my country and they're trying to give crypto a place here.

That's indeed a good news. Spreading some words about bitcoin by holding a seminar will definitely encourage other people to join in cryptocurrency world. But, is it a free seminar or what?

There is just few Bitcoin ATMs in our place, and honestly I don't even use bitcoin atm. It's not because I don't want to or I don't know how to use it but as I have said, the accessibility is not convenient since it is far from my place. It wasn't yet spread out within my country unlike to the other countries.

When it comes to the bitcoin progress in my country, it is still in a "developing" stage. Meaning, it is not that well accepted nor banned but majority of the people doesn't aware of bitcoin. Well, there are Merchants that accepting btc in our country, but it's still few and does not increase people awareness about btc.

That is nice that there are those ATMs that are being installed in your country. That just means that the owner of these ATMs is seeing the number of users in your country. I know the feeling but don't be that happy though, in our country there is also a lot of ATMs but the adoption of people is so low. People still don't want to use it and just a small of the population use that.

What kind of adoption that your country do? Well, is the Bitcoin legalized in your country? I think it will also relate to the law and regulation of the crypto from the government in each country. The adoption may only lay on bringing new crypto projects, adopting the technology of blockchain, or even its digital assets. In my country itself, there is legalization of the crypto as a digital asset, but not for the payment. I can also find some BTC ATMs in certain areas (where there are high numbers of foreigners) to ease the transactions.

In my country bitcoin is not legalize yet, but not illegal too. People can use it as assets but still can't use it as payment. Maybe only need time for government to make it legal, because what really can make bitcoin legalized is government from the country.

Same on ours but the good thing there is I can see some progress of adoption aswell I see some institutions are looking on it so for this we can determine that even for now that this currency is not legalize yet there's still a high chanc that government will adopt and treat this one as digital assets. But the one I really want to look is the stoppage of hyips, pyramid and mlm's since this platforms are putting some dirt on the image of bitcoins.

Ok count it in as fruit of your labor by non stop promoting bitcoin in your country. That's a good start to see that there is a bitcoin ATM located there. And as a perfect example, show to the people that you are also using that atm or use it at least once so that people will notice it.

Once, there are people see you use it, I think they will  massively be interested to it and will start asking you personally how it works and how's the fees.

In my country, to any massive use of cryptocurrencies is very far away. In addition, even to the normal standard of living of most citizens, and not a small handful of different oligarchs, is also far away. Although, I hope that someday I will see a wide distribution of cryptocurrencies with us.

I don't know if my country still look bitcoin as a threat or what because until now they don't make any decision for bitcoin. They still act calmly and still allowing to use bitcoin as an investment place or trading place but if there is something bad happened to the user the government will never do anything. Seem like regulation for bitcoin in my country or cryptocurrency in my country will just like that, they will never try to use or regulate bitcoin as mean of payment.

First thing thanks to you,  because you are planing to give education about bitcoin to your local people that will helpful for them because we know importance of private key and how we can use them and keep them in very safe place otherwise some one can cheat them.
And really you are peoples very lucky to use bitcoin ATMs in your country. but In our country the situation is apposite because still we didn't get any good news regarding Crypto currencies regulations I hope we will get good news soon.

Lol, your perspective tho. However, it is clearly adoption because if it is not being adopted by the people in the country, why then would someone bring a Bitcoin ATM?
Well, I believe that an analysis was done and observing that people are moving into cryptocurrency, hence the step was taken.

I've probably used the wrong words and made it look like I see this new ATM installment as a negative thing. My bad.

What I meant is that I wish there were more merchants working on implementing Bitcoin rather than installing ATMs. As I've posted earlier today in another thread, ATMs usually take significant % as fees, especially for withdrawals, which is a huge drawback especially for a not-so-good economy like Nigeria's. I've looked up the ATM but I can't seem to find the % it takes for Buy & Sell at the moment, if you could find this information it would be awesome. Just wanted to compare the % to those I find in my country and around Europe. Smiley

The high % for withdrawals makes it very inconvenient for the poorer investors to sell their BTC, because they'll look (and I think everyone will, not just them) to maximize the total sum they'll end up with in their pockets. Hence, I'm thinking the economically disadvantaged countries such as Nigeria and Venezuela need a way to handle BTC with a % as close to 0 as possible. One way to do this is going for online exchanges. On the other side though, it just came into my mind that ATMs can be used to sell BTC when you're in an emergency.. so it's got both advantages and disadvantages.

My apologies for the words used. It seems that I fuck up my statements due to the words I use way more often than I should.

Haha, I have this positive feeling that the decision that'll be taken would be a positive one (allowing banks to deal with users that operate with bitcoin). Just someday, it'll be legal and you and other Indians would experience more of the blockchain technology! 😉

Yeah, we literally do everything hidden under the fear of either getting jailed or just scrutinized for hiding taxes that could have been paid, but when something is not being seen as legal and they are only trying to criticize then, we felt like we've lost the right to move our own money wherever we want to (now appreciating Blockchain and cryptocurrencies too). What does BTC give to us? It gives us freedom to move our money from our place to anywhere in the world where the recipient accepts it, at the cost of a lollipop (or even less) and we even do it, but getting scared every single time we transact which is something any citizen of any country wouldn't expect.

In my country there are many crypto enthusiats and bitcoin users especially among the young generation.
The main problem is there is no clear legislations regarding the use of cryptos. Therefore, no one would take the risk of buying a bitcoin ATM as it can be seized by authorities.
Exactly, no regulations yet meaning you should remain anonymous or else the banks will also question your ability to have that money as well. Bitcoin also works well in my country even if there’s no regulation and the ATM is fine to use but with a lot of care since you can easily got robbed if someone saw you using that ATM Machine.

And it was different in my country.
Yes, we are already adopting crypto and Bitcoin, and our government leaders are supporting this but to find out that there is no Bitcoin ATM up to this moment. I don't know the reason why it happens, or it may be that having crypto machine isn't particularly usable to us. Besides, a lot of people using online/cashless forms of payment and I don't think that we need this thing, in fact, we make transactions using our phones instantly.

Having a crypto ATM machine isn't a measurement that we are already adopting Bitcoin. The fact that more people are engaged in crypto and many establishments are accepting it, then we could say that we are in adopting this technology by then.

I'm from India and we're having a case filed between two big organizations - RBI (Reserve Bank of India) and IAMAI (Internet And Mobile Association of India) about the legality and regulatory status of BTC. It has taken around 3 years already for them to decide whether or not to allow the banks to deal with those who own or deal in cryptocurrencies, I'm eagerly waiting for some day when I'll see my country having lots of BTC ATMs where I will be able to convert my BTC and withdraw my fiat without the need of any mediator or even a buyer.  Undecided

You've got a Great point here. Actually, I'm not sure if there's a clear legislation regarding the use of crypto here. But I do know that the central bank requires kyc from anyone who is related to crypto. With this, we can easily say it's legal. If it's not, I have the feeling that the machine will be seized as you've said. But then, I don't think they would just bring in such a machine without having known if it has been publicly declared legal or not.
