people today assume that bitcoin is one of the fastest ways to get rich, behind that they cannot enjoy the up and down process of bitcoin prices so that when bitcoin prices rise they will enliven the bitcoin market but when prices fall they are only concerned whether bitcoin prices will rise again or not. I really agree with your thread because humans are now more concerned with the results than the process, especially in bitcoin, the price of which has skyrocketed

You are lucky to enter the cryptocurrency world in such at their young age. I discovered cryptocurrency from at least 3 years ago and the price is a little bit expensive base on my salary per month so i just save at least 10% of my income per month and put it into cryptocurrency and just like yours, i sold them at 2018 when the price is high even though it starts declining.

When I first registered here, the exchange rate was around $10 per coin. I never purchased any BTC or alts. I got them through bounty campaigns and give-aways (back then it was quite easy to earn them). I sold a part of my coins when the prices went up in 2017. So as you can see, I waited for almost 5 years to profit out of my coins.

People trade the dollar with other currencies just as btc is traded with multiple other currencies
Dollar was invented by men and people agreed to be using it as their means of currency.
Same way Bitcoin was invented to eliminate middle men so that people can do transactions p2p and be their own bank with state of the art security called the blockchain and decentralization (immutable public distributed ledger) for their funds.
Not for governments but for ordinary citizens who get exploited by the governments, capitalists and big banks, so never should bitcoin be addressed as a get rich scheme.

Well I feel your pain but then lamenting about the current issue won't change the mindset a large percent of bitcoin investors currently have. Back then investing in bitcoin was mainly because one believes in the bitcoin ideology but after bitcoin got to its peak in 2017, people saw how bitcoin turned so many people to millionaires and so they rushed in so as to get their own breakthrough with bitcoin. Most of the investors holding bitcoin now are just patiently waiting for price to pump so they sell and make profit and are not willing to help bitcoin grow in anyway.

Indeed, most of the newbies which they come in this crypto community are aiming to get rich fast, and this is not the reason of using bitcoin. Bitcoin is for daily use and it's not only for investing or holding. Bitcoin should be used daily to get more value in the market.

Obviously, some of the people who really don't understand how Bitcoin was really created do take advantage of whatever situation is on how to generate their own riches overnight. I like what OP said that it is all about freedom buut if we look at the reality, there is really no freedom but the good thing is that we have alternative way that we can do on our own time and space.

Bitcoin is not just for investment, Bitcoin is widely used as payment for any products or services that someone has to offer worldwide that's why blockchain is being created to record every transaction of Bitcoin. Very well said people think btc is just another bubble which they can encash whilst its blowing. Just today i saw someone who said that he is regularly investing in btc for better returns. But btc is not about returns not at all about it. If everyone is thinking just about their returns from btc then it will lose its value too as we are not considering about its utility.

OP thanks for throwing more light into the subject matter. Many newbies in the forum; have come with that mindset to get rich quick from Bitcoin and its totally wrong at their end. Back in those days, many where here to seek wisdom and knowledge from the technology and not to get rich. Get the knowledge and the riches will come.

Yes this is very true actually. People are not in trap in general banking system where government and bank taking their benefits from general people. Bitcoin is alternative of that which has freedom of economic transaction which has no third party. I am fully same hand with you.

Not also newcomers, even to those who already know bitcoin for so many years and still do not have savings because still using what they earn is thinking that bitcoin is a fast making money. I am with that attitude before because I think I can easily make money with bitcoin which is not and this is not a "get rich fast" tool online. We should discover so many uses of bitcoin for it to enhance its potential.

I agree with OP. Few people want that bitcoin should break 100K$ within 1 Month.My friends bought bitcoin in 2018.they ask me all time what is the news of bitcoin when it will up.when it will be 100k$.I told him hold it and be winner or sell your bitcoin and be loser. Cheesy

I certainly agree with you. There are people who forget the main role of bitcoin and they only see it as an investment that could make them rich. Sometimes, it's human nature to take without giving. We should also value the real importance of bitcoin in society instead of complaining every time the price of bitcoin drops down.

Not just bitcoin, cryptocurrency in particular, most people see it as a way to become rich overnight, either way it will bite them in the end, and we can't also blame them because who doesn't want to be rich without any effort, and bitcoin is also seen as investment by alot of people, not a technology.

This perspective or notions of ' get rich fast' via bitcoin and other crptos is most common in lazy youths who are are ready to cut corners to attain their heart desires of becoming rich by crooks or any means forgetting that bitcoin investment is a long term investment that could take years for an investor to recoup and make appreciable profits based on the market sentiments of course bullish.
The OP also retreated the liberty of individual hodlers of bitcoin against the strict and regulations of government and central banks which had really affected our privacy but bitcoin had shown a way out.
