Bitcoin is a currency.  You cant say money is gambling itself.  But if you invest your money and convert it into bitcoin,  now it is gambling.  Because you take a risk investing your money to a volatile currency hoping it would rise up in the coming days,  but you know it might also drop.  There is still win or lose in it,  so basically its still gambling.  The process is gambling,  not bitcoin itself.

why do you think Bitcoin is gambling? bitcoin is the digital currency. Its value can go up and down as the price of gold so if you invest in it you can either profit or loss depending on you so you can't say Bitcoin is gambling

Bitcoin is not a digital currency too. I never thought Bitcoin is a digital currency because the government did not accept it is legal. For Japanese people, they can call Bitcoin is a digital currency or payment method. But for other countries, you can not call it is a digital currency, because it still has nature of cryptocurrency.

A few people think about any sort of venture as a betting. A similar thing goes for Bitcoin. Actually, I imagine that Bitcoin is an incredible interest in our future. In any case, each venture is somewhat hazardous. You can lose your cash because of many factors, for example, absence of experience, bug or even a crash of Bitcoin. I would prescribe each individual who need to put resources into Bitcoin to take in a little about it before they get it.

Bitcoin is a global craze, even those who do not know about blockchain technology also buy it.

Because more and more people are buying it at such a fast rate, it is impossible to determine the real value of the currency.

When the price of something fluctuates 20-30% a day then obviously it's unstable and you can lose money in the blink of an eye. With such "crazy" fluctuations in the short term, Bitcoin is gambling, not investment, Sabatier said.

It is definitely not gambling because you buy something and you own coins so it is in your hands to sell it or not because gambling is just to bet on something.
There is not even 0.1% similarity between bitcoin and gambling. Gambling is something really very destructive in nature whereas bitcoin is highly productive. It has helped masses in improving their financial conditions. Countless people have started their businesses with the help of bitcoin.

It is also playing very important role in reducing unemployment on the other hand, gambling makes people sell all they have just for an addiction.

The is a common saying.... "the middle classes gamble in the stock market.  The lower classes gamble with lottery tickets."

Crypto allows anyone with a phone to gamble (or "invest" based on "research,"....LOL) hence all the confusing and long winded threads about whether it is gambling or not.

Bitcoin is not a  gambing it is one of the good and easy way to increase your money quickly , most of the people don't know clearly about bitcoin and it's features that's why some people are saying bitcoin is gambling we need to teach them about online currencies and bitcoin .

The issue is clearly people don't understand the simple definition of gambling or taking it literally that the only form of gambling involves 'games.'   I'm looking at this from a standard English definition.

Driving a high performance car on icy roads is a gamble.
Flying at night under visual flight rules with no flight plan is a gamble.
Investing in the stock market is a gamble.
Investing in a new restaurant is a gamble.
Investing in bitcoin is a gamble.

To gamble is "to stake something on a contingency."   It doesn't need to involve cards, chips, horses, or dice.

Maybe in other languages gambling specifically excludes bitcoin, but I doubt it.

It's not really a gamble because you have no money to use it but your time and your internet. Because of gambling, it is likely that many people are poor because gambling is just losing so if it is gambling a lot of poor people especially the Philippines. Probably someone who says bitcoin gambling is not a bitcoin user but someone who does not know anything about bitcoin, but there are also bitcoin users who play gambling using bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not gambling. It is an investment. Gambling means you want to win while other people got loss. However bitcoin you will earn bitcoin due to increase in price and you didn't capture other's money.

You can actually classify investing as a form of gambling since you are technically placing your money on predictions, calculations, and odds for a chance of success. But pushing that aside, bitcoins are technically a form of investment and not per say gambling.

Bitcoin is becoming a gambling to other people because they don't have the idea or knowledge that will become enough for them to say that bitcoin is not a gambling because if you really understand the concept and the natural behavior of bitcoin then there is nothing to worry about the word gambling because it is more appropriate to say risk than gambling.

Investing your money, your time and effort in bitcoin is already gambling. It is because you doesn't know when will you earn your profit or income. Even if you deny it bitcoin itself is gambling because it take a risk to have or to earn a bitcoin. It eats a lots of time and patience.

Sincerely speaking, I don't see bitcoin as gambling. It is pure investment. I see it as any other business out there where you trade and expect profit or loss in return.

BITCOIN IS THE CURRENCY OF THE GLOBE

If we agree that Money is not gambling then Bitcoin is not,  the  law of  demand and supply,  and  global news relating  to  crypto has impact  on the  price ,so you cannot   conclude that  bitcoin is gambling.
