That is what I also heard before but that is NOT TRUE. Some might using bitcoin for gambling then they are using bitcoin for gambling but bitcoin is not gambling because many people here work clean and all we want is earn money for our depths. We work hard by using our time and efforts to focus posting and exploring here to earn money and saving it maybe for our future.
I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.
Surely for me bitcoin is a currency not gambling people can use bitcoin through the way they choose they can use for investing trading and gambling but i don't advise you to gambling it may get much of risk. Don't gambling you will get suffer finacial losse . 
it is true but they assume this is my gamble just angry in my heart ,, i do not take punsing and will keep doing the task in bitcointalk get the money from here. 
It is not a gambling, maybe it can be used for gambling but it is not a gambling, it is a digital currency that can be used by all people in managing, storing and saving money, and also for investing and selling. And it is not illegal, actually it is spreading all over the world and that is very good to all. It is in the stuck market.
Is it like betting on everything on red or black no I don't think so. If you look at the history of bitcoin and the future it awaits then you can place a farely safe bet I suppose. I know from experience that you can walk into a casino with $100 and leave with $0 in an evening. Try do that with bitcoin I dare you to do exactly that knowing the basic rules of how to put a BID and ASK. It is impossible. If you lose some money on bitcoin overnight at least you will have some in the morning and gain experience.
Oh well, depends. IF you are holding mid/long term IMO its not. You gotta know when to go in and when to cash out tho.
Its not gambling as long as you hold it. However if you buy it just for a short term then it might prove you bad but if you hold it for a good amount of time then you can make lots of cash with it.
It all depend on what anybody is doing with his or her BTC. Me, I am investing and trading with mine. I earn my living in BTC trading, Iam not a gambler.
Bitcoin is not gambling though some people see it from that angle since its worth goes up and down. But I think its not, its just an investment.

Gambling is still riskier than bitcoin and it is not like an investment. With bitcoin somehow you could wait when the price goes down. While in gambling once you lose it there is no save point. You cannot load it back. What is done is done. What is lost cannot be taken back. Funny I saw posts that says how can they get back what they have lost in the gambling bet. Too much games makes him think he can get it back.

I think somehow it is the same with gambling in terms of you buy your bitcoins like chips using your money and place a bet like investing hoping you hit the jackpot with uncontrollable factors in the market which somehow relies on your luck also.

There seems to be some confusion here. Bitcoin is a currency rather than an illegal gambling. You buy and hold it and sell it off and bitcoin will give you high profits
The fact you say it will definitely give you high profits is disturbing
If you are 100% sure you should go all in with all your belongings, after all it's a sure case. The fact you are probably not doing this means you admit there is some risk to it. And taking a risk is a form of gambling no ?

Everybody have a different opinions in the world regarding the bitcoin. Because it is a digital currency not a real money and due to this reasons people Fear from it. But knowledge of bitcoin depends on thinking of the people. Bitcoin is a source of income of some people and somebody think that it is a gambling. No body can't change old thinking of people. Yes it change with time to time. But according to my opinion bitcoin can become a millionaire to that body who will invest in it.
Maybe some people think bitcoin is gambling because people take the risk of investing here as this involves money. Bitcoin is a gamble in a way but yeah in other way it's is not. Investment in Bitcoin now is not good because it's value is not stable if invest now and convert it in real money and then it's price increases then it's action that will take you towards the loss
If you think about it, most things that we do in life is a gamble. The lessons we learn along the way just makes our chances better. Investments are always a gamble and bitcoin isn't much different from it. Its just that you give yourself a much better chance ny making appropriate preparations for it
Bitcoin is digital currency it is not gambling . actually bitcoin just online currency. you can not say that money is gambling. bitcoin has price. bitcoin price up and down some time. but nowadays bitcoin price is high. Bitcoin not risking too much but gambling too much risky. whats why you can not say bitcoin is gambling.

We can't consider bitcoin as a gambling, because bitcoin and gambling is a different thing, we can just use bitcoin to bet in gambling to earn bitcoin but it is not the same.I think the substance of what the OP wanted to say was if investing in bitcoin was a gamble, and with that i will say NO because it's consistently grown back up no matter the tumble in its price. There seems to be a global revolution for the demand of bitcoins and this has catapulted it's growth significantly within a short period.
It depends on the definition Currencies that can gain/lose 30% overnight are not standard 'trading' So I think we can define trading in crypto as a form a gambling.
