For me among the rest of cryptocurrency bitcoin has the most bright future, and if a lot of investor will not stop supporting there is no doubt that bitcoin will still be the best in the future and i know many holders of btc will able to make more profit.
Bitcoin cannot be the future of humankind but it will cover the most parts of technology in the future. Many companies will start using BTC because of the inevitable increase of demand to cryptocurrencies. So Bitcoin will be more widely-used in about 10 years in my opinion. It may come even sooner, who knows.

Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency. It has the strongest team of developers and yet the most trusted cryptocurrency ever. Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency though with the market dominance of approximately 67% and the market capitalization of over $150 billion. Bitcoin is the future of cryptocurrency because people TRUST bitcoin more than any other altcoin out there. Bitcoin can not be compared with any other alt-coin, because BTC is the number one Coin in the cryptocurrency, hence bitcoin is the future of blockchain technology and is very good to invest more.
The general public can't help but to compare bitcoin to other cryptocurrencies we had in the market and what we are going to have in the future because bitcoin is standing and defending its name since 2009 by defying all odds. Bitcoin gave birth to other corresponding altcoins like Ethereum, dogecoin, monero, litecoin and the rest of the altcoins. What lies beyond bitcoin's future is still a mystery for each one of us.

I don't think bitcoin will die, but also I am not 100% sure it is the future. I think it will be used for large payments, it's a slow, heavy online gold. I think something else will be used for normal payments unless lightening is somehow amazing.
I agree, Bitcoin will become the gold of the cryptocurrency market but it will never become a means of payment. Bitcoin is too slow and transaction fees are too high, the future needs a reputable, stable and fast currency.You are right, BTC is not used for the payment system globally and I feel that's the reason for downfall happening everytime, there is no doubt that the future of this coin will last long for more years but the transactions should happen everytime.

Yes, I think bitcoin is really the future because as we see bitcoin has maintained its class and price as the very high cryptocurrency coin, so I may probably say that bitcoin is really the future because it continues to rise although sometimes it dump very hard but sometimes also it arise as much as we expected. Many old altcoins have died because of the lack of consistency from the developer team. I think there are some altcoins in which the developer team has the consistency to develop platforms like ethereum. Bitcoin is number one in the cryptocurrency market today because of investor confidence, it is possible that in the future there will be an altcoin that can compete with bitcoin in terms of market cap value or price
The future of altcoin is determined by development of the product I think too many scams are faced in this case so investors draw the conclusion that bitcoin is the only hope in the future ,well not only that think bitcoin has also surpassed the bleak times and has remained strong to this day well the future investor demand and interest will be higher

IEO are on able to meet up because there are no quality projects to actually qualify for them to accept it if they really want to maintain the integrity of project that they have promised the world, otherwise, they will just keep registering projects that are not going to last long and eventually still turn the platform to that of the IEO.It was supposed to surpass ico and be a better crowdfunding method; but it has gone cold faster than ico did.

I think that they are just reserving this platform for the future also when their will be regulation so that more quality projects can approach them because if they destroy the IEO platform now too early, it may be difficult for us to ever see crowd funding survive again, but bitcoin will till always be the most reliable coin no matter how strict IEO is with projects, no matter the quality project that they release, they still cannot meet up with the standard of bitcoin.
I agree that too many altcoins appear in the cryptocurrency sphere and they are very similar to each other and constantly compete with each other, but in the end, only the most popular and sought-after altcoins will remain in the end, but as for bitcoin, of course, everything is clear, without bitcoin cryptocurrency cannot exist at the moment and cannot in the future, so bitcoin is the basis of cryptocurrency and hope for altcoins.
What you're saying is partly true. But most cryptocurrencies have different characteristics. For example, the consensus algorithms are different, the security protocols are different, the coin supply is different, the exchanges listed different etc. and therefore the regions are different.
Bitcoin is currently experiencing problems of scalability and energy consumption. So it's hard to say that Bitcoin is sufficient for long-term adaptation, so we need to focus on the know-it-all altcoins that provide less energy consume and endless scalability.

Very interesting question for discussion, compared to the discussion between the number of altcoins versus bitcoin which has a single value in the public, if you ask, how is the future of bitcoin, everyone answers "yes, bitcoin is the best future in the crypto world" and survives in time a very long time, it means the factor of world community trust in bitcoin. another with altcoin is getting more and more, and for countless numbers, I have more confidence in bitcoin in trading and have a good future for me with bitcoin. Sometimes I start to believe that it is the future, sometimes I get lost by thinking what would happen if it goes below 2k or even 1k dollars. Would it get back by getting more and more investors or would BTC ballon would pop? I don't think we can predict the future that much. However, The first option that supports the rise of Bitcoin in the future is more likely. I trust in BTC as others do.
Everything is not about money, price but instead it is all about its usability. Even if it goes to $100, as long as we need it for our life. That means this is our future.

As the OP has put it, the IEOs have gone cold much earlier than expected. I am repeating this once more. Half-baked projects have no future in the cryptocurrency market. What the market needs is a fully developed product which is ready to be used for its intended purposes, and not some fancy idea with hardly any development or viability study done on them.
