I guess no one can stop the OP from achieving his dream. And most likely is just like the OP, we are not that blessed with financial stability and yet we are here because we all know that bitcoin can really help us, it could give us potential profit in the future if we will just stick to our plans to just buy as much as we can and hold on it. And there's nothing wrong with having a dream and pursuing it. So the advise that I can give to the OP is just be strong because you will be tested when the price goes down and thinking of selling it right away. So no easy path for us, but just look at the long term, specially that the bitcoin halving is less than a year from now.
I want to be more realistic about the story of bitcoin in particular and the crypto market or other investment market, because everything that happens in our lives is very fair and you work hard to learn and invest in both knowledge, health, money, ... then you will get the results you deserve. I am not a dreamer with profit as well as distant goals, but seeing the participants talk about huge profits, that's why I think they are going down the wrong path lose. Knowledge in this field is a lot, and sometimes just a few skills of economic analysis, project evaluation can also help you get good profit opportunities with this market.
and such conversations of getting huge profits is the reason why some newcomers have such notion of getting rich quick on this market. they thought, it is easy to earn money where in fact, it would take better strategies to even get the profits from this market. but there's nothing wrong of dreaming such nice profits one day. but one should be realistic with goals so you won't get disappointed.

At the end of the day @OP, it is your hard work and smart moves that will make you prosper, Bitcoin is just a tool for you to use and get profit depending on what kind of action you did in every situation. I agree that since Bitcoin is still in its early phase, it can be an opportunity to make our dream come true but I would like to state that Bitcoin is not only the one option to prosper, there are lots of ways. That's one of the issues we have with people always trying to hide the negative side of Bitcoin. It's true that Bitcoin can earn you good money, but one thing your teacher didn't tell you is that, Bitcoin can also ruin your future. Investing in Bitcoin doesn't make you rich but makes you a holder of Bitcoin. If it's value appreciate, your luck. But if it doesn't or even depreciate then you end up loosing your investment and run at a loss.

For someone from a poor background who's family struggles to sustain a household. Now you intend on investing in Bitcoin, when you should be planning on how to help your parents reduce the stress at home. In life there's a time for everything. I do think that your parents are trying but they too would need a little assistance.
Bitcoin was made for more than just that, if you are a determined goal getter you don't necessarily need to be into Bitcoin in other to achieve wealth, I think this is a newbie thought and can actually lead to crushed dream rather than a brighter dream.

How do you intend to put up the money to invest in Bitcoin, because you stated you feed from your parents meaning you are dependent and you did not mention that you were either employed or operate a business?

We have heard many such stories in this forum but I believe you. Believing or disbelieving you will cause me no harm. But I want to encourage you to be strong and keep believing that you can come out of poverty through hard work and dedication. There is no assurance that Bitcoin will make you rich because the price is unpredictable and your investment might be too small to give your much profit. Focus on your academics and graduate with good grades. This will enable you to get a job that can help you raise more money to invest not only in bitcoin but in other profitable investments available to you. Welcome to the forum Assiduous. 
While holding Bitcoin can indeed be life changing if bought and sold at the right time, I think better than that would be building a business that utilizes Bitcoin in a new way to solve problems and bring value to your customers. Depending on my previous academic results my college teacher convinced my parents to enroll me in college. Later my teacher gifted me a smart phone. Then, my teacher explains to me about Bitcoin and how one can earn money from it. He tried to give me an idea about Bitcoin and assured me that if I know about Bitcoin and invest in it, I can earn good amount of money in the future which will remove my poverty. Since then, I make efforts to learn about Bitcoin. Besides, my teacher advice me about the Bitcointalk Forum where I can find extensive information about Bitcoin.
I am shocked to read that your teacher gifted you smartphone and advised you to invest in BTC and even helped you to start an account here on BTT. Because in my school, college and university life. I never encountered any teacher who could sacrifice that much instead my teachers always blamed smartphone and used to said, these devices are the main reason that you students are not giving any importance to studies.And still your teacher bought you one and guide you I am really happy and jealous too because you have got a gold heart teacher there. I also have strong belief that BTC will change ones fortune by helping them to fulfill their dreams. In my time here on BTT, i read many good stories about how people have meet their daily expenses using BTC and also facing the expenses of their families and studies. Even i am also meeting my and families expenses on my own from the earning that i made here. 
Then be a determined dreamer and keep your dream alive.
Your teacher may be right about it but this is also if you know when to sell the BTC you hold at the right time. Since you want to hold your coins for a long time, it would just be easy as you only need patience for it. This also needs to be learned. If you wanted to be equipped with knowledge, learning to trade currencies like BTC is the way. There are many people who already provide insights on how to do it.

I have read that you are from a poor background, that you barely feed well. So, I doubt you will be able to raise a good money to dump in bitcoin for some years before having a good reward. At some point in time you will be needing such money to solve some immediate problems.
If there is anything you do to earn, such as the agricultural thing you are talking about, just double your efforts there and earn real money. It will be far better than having a high expectation of bitcoin whose price is not stable.

Research about bitcoin and make your decisions. But my advice is that those who made good fortunes from bitcoin were the early adopters who didn't look the altcoin ways. For bitcoin to be able to make you super rich now, you must be rich already and willing to invest substantial amount into bitcoin.

The way to make money with Bitcoin is by capital appreciation, and to earn a significant amount, you either have to invest a significant amount as lump sum or you have to spend many years investing small amounts and not touching the investment. Depending on how small they are it could be more than a decade. Holding on without selling for so long when you see that you have profits (or sudden losses) for someone who has a delicate situation is not easy, and I would say that few, if any, manage to do it.
As I am in the habit of not believing everything I read in the forums, I will tell you that assuming your story is true and not just another one of the invented stories of this style that appear in this section every now and then, you should focus on improving your economic situation in a global way, in which the Bitcoin is only a part, although an important part of the plan.

A real teacher. Not only teachers but also the first person to open their eyes and direct you starting from introducing BTC and participating in this BTT forum. Yes. surely your teacher has been deep into this crypto world for a long time. especially BTC. That's right, what you wrote about the crypto world is very volatile, the market often changes faces. However, with basic knowledge and TA analysis it will be easy to read where the market is going. and it's true like you said Bitcoin is the road to Prosperity for Dreamers who are Determined and have a mentality.
I'll play the devil here and say to you upfront that you shouldn't put all your hopes and dreams on bitcoin. There are people that over sells BTC as if it's the key to financial success or the solution to everything - IT'S NOT. There are many avenues where you could put your money into and become successful as well. I suggest that you expand your skills and boost your financial literacy.
