You are correct that BTC is unique and if anybody first come to cryptoworld he must first know about BTC nothing else. BTC covers about 72-5% of whole crypto market and rest of others. This is because of its uniqueness and sprite. Now anybody in crypto market can easily trust on it and can invest as he wants. There is no barrier do everybody should follow him as no 3rd party involve here.

Yeah, sad fact is that bitcoin isn't what is was some years ago and while it's sad, the current situation sounds very logical, I would even be surprised if it wasn't like that. Bitcoin turned into commercial business. Big companies are on the prowl, they make takeover bids to buy other ones, for example like finance did and bought coinmarketcap. What do you think, are they silly to pay 400 million USD in a website that shows cryptocurrencies prices? No, they have a strategy around it that will bring them 400 million and even more back while also giving them the power they seek.
Bitmain upgrades equipment, mines a lot and then sells them like an innovative product while it's already old for them.

Bitcoin is Bitcoin, not FIAT money, not gold, and definitely, we can't compare it to other cryptocurrencies. It becomes unique to man and also in crypto space because of its pictured market value and that is the reason why it gains popularity. It is eye-catching to the community not only because of its price but also we are adopting it considering that this is useful to the current era.

However, it was unfortunate that people never fully understand what is Bitcoin and how it works. And I don't think that we come into realization and finally consider Bitcoin as a currency alternative to fiat because people mostly come in here just purely for investment.

Bitcoin was not unique because it was the first decentralized digital currency, i was unique because it opens the world to new possibilities, innovation and opportunities. Besides, it was unique because people trust it and the same thing happens to Ethereum which has not been in existence before LTC, Doge, Monero etc. Despite that, it still claims the #2 slot cause it the pathway to dApps/smart contract and if the altcoins you said does all the features I mention they will also have an advantage in the market.
The thrive level of crypto is measure by concept, utility, community trust and support level if not those altcoin you said would have been the number 1 crypto now.

You could continue to think like that.

It is true that there are a lot of other cryptocurrencies out there but I don't think that they would be able to "out place" Bitcoin. Bitcoin's price might go down, but I don't think that people would just let that slip by. They would take that as an opportunity, as a chance to buy again or reinvest because a lot of people are believing to it.
