Bitcoin being the leading cryptocurrency makes it more unique when we compare it from the other coins. And also the huge impacts that it has been done to many cryptocurrency users prove more of what will it be in the future. Bitcoin is powerful even on its volatility, it helps many people in different ways and I am one its beneficiary. Bitcoin is the first and it keeps taking the upper hand for that, nothing changes that. Many other digital currencies has been create and said to be better than Bitcoin due to one feature or the other that they carry, but at the end they can’t replace the cryptocurrency BTC which is the pioneer of the crypto space.

I am lucky I discovered cryptocurrency, it has served so many purposes for me, transaction hasn’t been the only thing though it’s the first, but in investment it has been good, and with that said, I’d like to add that Bitcoin is my first asset that I ever bought with my money. if virtual money is the thing then btc isnt unique because there are other early virtual money or payment methods before btc came out . for sure you already recognized them ? paypal for example .

the payment methods that im saying about can also work to those service you mentioned but they cant copy what btc have . btc has a sending fee , btc is volatile , irreversible , etc ( i forgot the others ) this what makes btc unique to them . some people might see this as a disadvantage though .

I have not to deem claim about the risk because we are also benefiting from this and so for the next generation. There are exceptions in everything of course. I'm sure there are lots of people who are in past middle-age that continue to learn and keep up with technology. And I'm not talking about mere investing (e.g. through a fund), but actual use or holding in a personal wallet. I can confidently say that 90% of the people who are past 70 years old in my country don't know how to use credit cards. Not even talking about installing apps/wallet on a smartphone. On the other hand I've noticed a keen interest in the 40-60 age group in technology.

It is unique because it's the first time that people all around the world have chosen a decntralized payment together, without any advertising.

I'm very happy that I'm able to witness this unique event and hope that decentralized systems become the new normal. My only concern is it could take whole generations before people understand how important being in control is and how little control they have on their fiat money.
